The complimentary breakfast is delicious and extensive and the staff is ALWAYS friendly and warm, and certain staff members have even managed to remember us in our concurrent visits. You can't ask for much more than that in a hotel!

My friend made the mistake of putting the $50 hold on her credit card. When I tried to check out at 6 AM (friend was sleeping), I wasn't able to pay for her room because of this $50 charge on her card. What?? The early morning clerk was a young lady with no knowledge and no power. She offered to call her manager but at 6 AM that seemed like a bad idea. I knocked on my friend's door but she was still sleeping. So for this little simple thing, we were very inconvenienced and it took me too long to get going on the road. I just opened my credit card bill two weeks later to find that $50 security charge on my card still there. I had to call this morning and they told me they didn't know anything about it. They removed it, they said but I don't see it. They advised me to call my bank. Sure, I should spend a long time on the phone because on their policies? No, thanks. I don't know if I would stay here again. I don't want to have to go through all the hassles and phone calls to pay. Seems as though the company could simplify this somehow.

The room I rented was a 12x12 and by paying 3 weeks in advance and helping out around the place it came to $300. That included all utilities and internet. I dont know of any 8x8 rooms. There are exercise machines, a great kitchen, pool table, foosball etc. The staff is nice and there are janitorial services everyday. If you dont have a lot of money this is a great place to live, it is limited to disabled, students and vets though.

This place is listed on Air BNB which is how I ended up there in June 2017. It looked like a normal…read moreroom in a normal person's house from the ad posted. It's filthy and it's not safe. It's a run-down halfway house and a lot of the people who live there are recent parolees (there's a medium security men's prison a few miles away) or trying to get sober. I was in town to visit my best friend who's incarcerated at Hill Correctional Center, and I didn't feel safe. People are loud; drinking and smoking openly, swearing in the hallways. I saw broken windows and cockroaches. The walls are blackened from handprints, the washrooms are filthy and moldy, and 2/3 refrigerators non-functional. The room they gave me didn't have curtains on the windows and directly faced the parking lot, making it easy for people to watch me while I slept if I had stayed the night. As a young woman travelling alone, this is unacceptable. I played along with the building's manager when I talked to him, pretending like everything was fine to avoid confrontation and then left in the middle of the night for a hotel room instead. Air BNB customer service was great; after I mesaged them to tell them what I saw, and sent them photos of the property they gave me a full refund, an extra $50 for the inconvenience, and took down their listing. However, they keep reposting the property with new accounts. I keep reporting them, though.
