This hotel is basic, but offers a good value. We would stay here again. Gave 5 stars for its rating within the budget hotel peer group. Room was clean, beds comfy and the shower spacious. Blackout curtains work and double paned windows minimize noise. AC unit is in room and worked well but was a bit noisy. Breakfast not elaborate, but had plenty of choices, including healthy options. Staff welcoming and accommodating. It is just across the street from a newly created paved path that goes along the canal, so an opportunity for a nice evening walk. read more

My daughter and I stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday. The person at the front desk was very nice and helped us get the room early as we left Texas at 3am and got there almost at 11 am and were tired and sleepy. The room was not great as the TV was small and not enough channels and the refrigerator was so small. The bathroom was bad as there was some white stuff on ceiling by sprinkler and the floor board had like glue or paste holding it up like a 5 year old did It. The beds were bad as they made so much noise when you moved that it always would wake my daughter up. The good thing is the person working the front desk was very professional and helpful. The area was very quiet and close to Starbucks, Little Caesars Pizza, and Quiznos . The airport was only like 5 minutes away which was nice. We had no problems with homeless people in the area. The location's solid, price was right, I paid 71 bucks a night, the breakfast was there (I do love a good make-your-own waffle!) and the room was tidy, if dated. The bathroom had a couple of issues. There was mildew on the walls above the shower, which is to be expected without a vent fan. The water pressure was pretty good, but the toilet flushed super-slow and not entirely thoroughly. THere was also a slug that showed up in the room. I didn't mind, he was kinda cute, stayed in the bathroom and never bothered me. I named him Alberto. read more

Honestly a solid 4 star place! Very clean and the staff was nice. Stayed here 1 night and it was a pleasant experience. Everything was very clean. The small outdoor pool was nice and warm in the summer, water is very clean. The room was spacious and clean, easy no frills. Parking was a bit tight but expected during peak summer months. My bestie and I had just travel from L.A. to Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs with the plan of going to Pinnacles NP or at least getting as close as possible. We were exhausted so we just decided to stay in Fresno and get an early start the following morning. We just wanted somewhere decent to rest. The beds were comfy, but the next day I did have a bite on my neck and one on my back. There were homeless people in the parking lot. The lock to the hallway was unsecured. The rooms are old but neat. The following morning, my friend was checking out and asked the front desk clerk if we could have a couple of yogurts because everything else was close at the time we left. He told her no. She came back to the car explaining that the attendant said no. I just knew the attendant had misunderstood since we could visibly see the yogurts in the refrigerated case. He told me no as well and that we would have to wait two hours for breakfast to start. This is a perfect example of NOT going the extra mile, not putting the customers needs first, and not being practical. This would have been an effortless accommodation. On his part. It wouldn't have been an inconvenience for him to give is the yogurts. Lesson learned. read more

I travel frequently and stay in alot of Hotels. This one has the best customer service Ive seen. Always so gracious and accomodating. Sure its a bit dated but clean, comfortable, has everything I need. They still believe in customer service and are experienced in the hospitality industry. For instance they dont charge repeat guests in good standing a deposit every time they check in. Which is how it should be. Almost all of the other Hotels require it regardless of your good standing. They want that few hundred from you then in convenience you take a week to put it back on your card in which many dont even do that. So shout out to QI staff! These big fancy hotels and their staff could benefit from watching how its supposed to be done. read more

Not bad. Not the Hilton, but not a dump either. The bad: 1. Peephole is completely missing from the door. Improvised, adapted and overcame by sticking a rag in the hole. 2. Price was a bit steep IMHO. This style hotel in Nevada is 90 a night, if that. I paid $112.70 for the night The good: 1. Fridge and microwave in room 2. AC works almost too good 3. Other than the peephole issue, very well maintained hotel 4. Room was very clean 5. Cable, Fox News 6. Bed is comfy. King has 4 pillows 7. WiFi is fast 8. Area is decent. 9. We were visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon and were looking for a nearby place to stay, so decided to take a chance with Hotwire in the Fresno airport area. We ended up getting this Quality Inn for a decent price. But the day that we were supposed to check in, I got a call from them saying that a water pipe had burst affected several of their rooms, so they had to cancel all their Hotwire reservations. I ended up wasting 30 minutes on the phone with Hotwire to get a new hotel. Now, I understand that when stuff happens like that, they have no choice but to deny some customers their reservation. But the hotel should never have fallen in such disrepair that this could happen in the first place. read more

I was not expecting this type of room. I was expecting out-of-date, dirty, dingy room but not true. It's clean and up-to-date. There are three different buildings. You walk up stairs if you are on the second floor. You walk down a brightly lit hallway to your room. Accessed only by your room key. I felt safe. The room is nicely decorated. There is a coffee pot, desk, chair, microwave, fridge and flat screen TV. I was in another room but had to be moved because some weirdo stole the shower curtain. The first room had new a/c controls on the wall, this room still has an old a/c unit but it still works great. The front desk guy was really nice and accommodating. He ran right up and gave us new room keys to our new room. Breakfast is included and even though I have not had it yet I was told that they have the make-it-yourself kind of waffles. I saw apples on the breakfast table. I assume it is for grabbing and eating anytime. read more

Just like there are 2-star (Yelp) 4-star (hotel class) properties, there are 4-star (Yelp) 2-stars (hotel class). This property is firmly in the latter. Expect a solid performance all around without much flash. The grounds, lobby and rooms were clean, tidy and functional, if a bit dated in style and worn in condition. Late-night check-in was surprisingly friendly and memorably efficient with the clerk mentioning a maintenance issue with one of the security doors that was being addressed, fixing a room type miscue and offering an update on the prevailing breakfast situation (currently: grab-n-go selections, with no in-lobby dining allowed). In and out within 5 minutes, with a flier friendly Choice Privileges welcome hand sani welcome gift? Perfectly smooth. On the airport side of the canal, the Quality Inn is truly walking distance from FAT (10-15 minutes, with only one major intersection, little elevation change and pretty good sidewalks the whole way), making this an attractive pre-flight/post-flight option. read more

However here are the positives: the staff in the morning is wonderful It's across from Fresno airport the breakfast is free and pretty decent-they have OJ WAffles Coffee Tea Bagels Milk Pastries Scrambled eggs Sausage Fruit Cereal Yogurt And a little more.... Great service and kindness from Beatrice - and trust me, we requested a lot of things. We got locked out of our room once, asked to check in early and check out late, and asked for change for a $5 bill - all in just 2 days! Breakfast included hot: waffle machines, eggs, sausages, and coffee and cold: cereal, milk, yogurt, cream cheese, bagels, English muffins, pastries, and flavored water and juice. One thing I wished they had was a fitness center. Location is very convenient - just walking distance to the airport! A bit out of town, of course, because of that. read more

Terrible hotel. It was more like a motel. They need to invest in new outlet plugs as they did not work properly. When I tried to plug something in the carpet was so DIRTY I wanted to throw up. 3 stars for Quality Inn by the airport. Their beds are clean, and hotel is mediocre. Bathrooms are nice and shower is big which is awesome. I loved having a mini fridge and microwave and desk too. Only complaint is that the hotel is just a little old and some things aren't cleaned as well as I'd like. The ac unit is old, it works, but kinda dirty and you can tell it's old. Window sills could be wiped or vacuumed, I tried to open my curtains and the rod must be old or something because it was tough to roll back and forth. Only other negative, not the hotels fault, but almost every time I parked and walked through the parking lot to my room, there were people smoking weed in the parking lot. And one group of gentleman made me feel uncomfortable asking me where I was going. (Not bashing the hotel for this, it's not their fault, just annoying to have people lingering in the parking lot. Not the best . . . not the worst. There is no elevator so if you are on the second floor, you will be lugging your stuff upstairs. The hallway leading to the room was warm, muggy, and smelled funny. The room was very warm when we got there and the A/C took about an hour to cool off the room. The A/C was loud and would only turn off for about 5 minutes at a time. The water pressure in the shower was so laughably low I took video of it. The best attribute of this hotel is it's proximity to the airport. read more

This was the third of three hotels that we stayed at in the Fresno area and it was the first one that wasn't frequented by prostitutes and dealers. Super convenient to the airport and it has nearby restaurants. Don't miss Triangle Burger if you stay here. The pool is clean, staff is super friendly, the internet is fast and the beds are comfortable. The TV in my room would only turn on when it wanted to, but I hardly watch it anyway so it was a mild inconvenience. If you are looking for somewhere inexpensive, safe and clean to sleep, this is the place. read more

We were here for Track State Championships and one of the other moms booked this place. She got a good price I think $89 but the clerk said the rooms are going for like $120! I think that is way too much for this place. Definitely outdated and the shower had no water pressure. We checked in late maybe 12:30 a.m and the guy was nice but took he took awhile something going on with the system. I guess there is breakfast included, but we didn't go to that especially since the cute town of Clovis is nearby. There are plenty restaurants there. read more

We have been coming to Fresno since 1975 and have stayed at most of the hotels in town. We stayed at this location long before it was purchased and renamed by the Piccadilly Hotels Group. Then we stayed here a few times when it was branded a Piccadilly Express. We watched this location go steadily down hill over the years. The basic infrastructure is over 40 years old. This tells you right off there won't be any electrical outlets in the right locations and Wi-Fi will be iffy. The non-working phones bolted on the bathroom walls are another clue. They are a left over remnants from a bygone era to become a "business hotel." The old phone wires are now used to run a cobbed up Wi-Fi router system. There are work a rounds for most all these conditions. However, there is no work a round for 40 year old steel pipes that have corrosion blocking half of their inside diameter. The water pressure sucks here and will continue to do so until they rip the walls out and replace all the piping. That's not going to happen; so be advised low flow shower heads and low flow piping are not compatible. Your hair will look like Cosmo Kramer when you step out of the shower. The folks that have secured this Quality franchise don't seem to care very much about the overall hotel appearance or functionality of room equipment. There are thick cobwebs and giant wasp nests on the exterior walls. The desk chair in our room was broken and stuck in the full down position. The coffee brewer parts were broken. We had to patch it together with rubber bands to make coffee. The large wall mirror had "stuff" slopped all over it. The shower head is so loose it keeps pointing straight down. It's pretty clear this location uses "contracted" house keeping services and the workers do only what they are to do and observe nothing. None of them can think beyond "when is quitting time?" They won't report anything broken or dirty because they think they will be blamed for it and reported to ICE. Oh Yeah, One more thing...It's improper American Flag protocol to fly our flag at night without illumination. Get lights on it or take it down at sunset. You make up your mind if you want to stay here. We stayed free with Choice Points and paid too much! read more

First off, I had already booked a queen size room and once I went to check in the lady at the desk said that we didn't need that room and put us in a twin bed room? And then told us there was a $150 deposit?? Where does it say that on anything, then she said I'd get my deposit back in a couple days? But saw another review saying they never sent the money back to them. The room was only supposed to be $135 for the night I stayed and ended up paying close to $250 for a dump. Then me and my boyfriend got to the room and it smelled gross and mold was on the ceiling, the doors to enter the building weren't even locked so anybody can come in. Then they have a sign saying if anybody's cars are broken into it's not their fault, yet it's on their property with dozens of homeless and dealers out there, not safe at all. Pool was locked up way before closing time, and also check out was at 12pm and we got knocked on our door saying check in wasn't at that time and told us to leave?? Save your money and go to a hotel elsewhere, you will be disappointed with your stay. read more

Room was nice, carpet in good condition, no smells, price was right for an over night stay for a college tour. The breakfast was better than most places including breakfast. Eggs and sausage were included with the usual free breakfast items. Not a lot of seats, so a full or busy hotel would be an issue. read more

Pretty run down. The outside doors are broken, so there's no need for a key to get in. There was dark hair on the bathroom floor, indicating that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned well. The walls, carpet and bathroom ceilings are stained. The beds seemed clean. Not horrible, certainly not great. read more

If you get referred here, your family doesn't like, your booking agent hates you, your secretary doesn't respect you, or you didn't do your homework. This is a roach motel disguised as a Quality Inn. We arrived Friday night and the front desk clerk wasn't at the front desk, when she returned she didn't even greet us. She gave us one room key and didn't even tell me where the room was. I had to ask her! Poor front desk service. The room we got was ok, bed was decent, but it reeked of marijuana in the hallway. The room was hotter and stinkier than hell. The walls are paper thin per usual, but we were lucky there weren't too many people in our wing. A tour bus of people apparently arrived the day before and took up all of the breakfast room seats and food. By the time we got to breakfast, mind you 7:30 am, it was all gone and nothing had been replenished. This place just lacks the typical Quality Inn service and ambiance. You're better off at the Picadilly next door. read more

This property is old, but I have had decent experiences at older hotels. What I have rarely had is worse customer service. We notified them that I had mobility problems (walk short distances only with the assistance of a cane), so naturally, they gave us the one room that was the fartherest from the parking lot. I mean, it was in a far building and at the very end of a seemingly endless hallway. Not that it mattered much. That room had problems. Specifically, there were no light switches, the phones did not work, the air conditioner did not work, the clock-radio was out-of-order. After trekking the miles back to the desk, they gave us a key to check out another room. This one at least had light switches. The only major problem it had was there was no air conditioning. Oh, and the door jamb was several inches from the floor allowing the light and sounds from the hallway to be part of our room--sort of a strange nightlight. What saves this place a single star is that the breakfast was well prepared. The hotel personnel throughout were unhelpful and discourteous. From being told that if we just tried, lights would come on in a room that didn't even have a switch installed, to not even coming to check out the second room given to us ("What do you want me to do? I'm not a maintenance man."), to querying us on our guest status--as we held our keycards--before letting us look at the "free" USA Today paper.
