Pretty filthy place to stay. Door handle inside the room is broken with the battery hanging out, pillow cases for a lot of our part were dirty. Paint chipping of the walls, old and disgusting caulk around the toilet. Overall not recommended to stay. Spend a couple of extra bucks and stay at a cleaner motel. Overall a disgusting and filthy place to stay! I would give it a negative review if I could.

Ancient plaster work is apparently the best this shower can hope for in terms of improvement.

While traveling, we stopped here because we had run out of steam in terms of driving. I used a booking site to find a hotel accepting pets, and this was our only option. Had I known what the property was like, I would have pressed on to another exit for a better option. Quality Inn is obviously a budget motel and I did not go into the booking expecting fluff. I wanted a bed to rest in and a place to feel secure. This property turned out to be the most neglected, run-down hotel or motel I have ever been in. We paid about a hundred dollars for a room. For that, I would expect at least...I don't know, proper lighting? The room was so shabby and out of date. The beds were acceptable, though I immediately did an in depth bedbug check after seeing the condition and debating a continuation of the stay. The computers were not working at the desk. A door to access the parking lot was not working. The snack machine was not working. The hall lights were not working. The hall had zero heat, which was amplified by the terrific cold snap we arrived in. The advert for the hotel proclaims proudly that rooms have jetted tubs. I personally didn't care about that because I feel a little ick about using a tub in hotel rooms in general, but the claim is an absolute lie. I didn't use the shower at all because I just couldn't face the squick factor. The staff were nice people trying their best to accomodate in a cruddy situation. I feel bad for them for having to work there, because clearly the owner doesn't even remotely care about the property. This is a place to avoid at all costs. Other hotels are in the area and may give you better value for your money.

I had car issues while driving south with my son and my dog and was forced to stay at a hotel for the night. I was dropped off by the staff of a local dealership...however, if I had my car, I wouldnt have stayed. The lady behind the desk was friendly and asked if I had any type of discount I could use since it was obvious I didn't want to pay the $103 for the night with military discount. She applied some coupon and the total still came to just under $75 including a $20 per night pet fee . This amount is a bit steep, as there is no elevator and no rooms available on the first floor, and no one to help you carry bags up the stairs. The room was filthy with food crumbs all over the floor, trash, holes in the walls, stains on the linens and upholstery and mold in the bathroom. The air conditioning unit smelled and second floor window could be easily opened yet there was no screen....good thing my son is 5 and not younger, dumber or more rambunctious. The wifi is non-existent, the tv had lines from poor wiring which was hanging out of the wall. A few lights didnt work and the door was so flimsy I didnt feel as though my room was secure at all. There was a skunk in the pool area when we were there and the staff wasnt concerned about it at all. Even though we slept with our own sheets, blankets and pillows, my son and my dog woke up with red bumps all over their body. I was fortunate enough to be wearing bug spray. Its a total dump. Avoid at all costs.

My family and I drove as far as we could but had to stop around midnight. We stopped here figuring it would be reasonable on price (considering it was Thursday) and clean. $100 on Thursday at midnight. That would be ok except for the room they give us has a moldy shower and paint peeling off the ceiling.

I looked into a Bed and Breakfast and found the Rockwood Manor. The price was what you would expect with no price gouging whatsoever. It turned out to be a very happy turn of events. Rockwood Manor is about a 15 minute drive from Radford university and was perfect for our needs. The Manor is on the historic register. A bit rustic on in places, it was last renovated in 2005. It is a beautiful place and our Hosts Frank and Rochelle were warm, friendly and very welcoming. We stayed in the Blakemore room. It had lots of windows which provided a nice view of the property. Our room also had a jacuzzi which we used and it was amazing after a long day on the road. The bed was a bit more firm than what we are used to at home and we recommended a mattress topper but by no means is this a negative as it is a personal preference. The linens were nice and clean and smelled fresh. We walked around the property and they looked to be all set up for wedding events. Lots of space, lots of areas for photo ops. It would be an ideal place for a wedding with room for a reception. The inside while at one point was the family home was like walking through history. We loved it. My favorite thing about the place was that I felt at home. Frank and and Rochelle are wonderful hosts. The breakfast the next morning was great with options for everyone. They also set the food up buffet style which made me feel like I was at a big family breakfast :) The only suggestion I would have is for our hosts to look into some professional rug cleaning. There were a couple of stains in the rug under the table in our room would need professional stain removal to get out. This place is one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have ever visited. We loved it!!!

The grounds and the home are wonderful. The house is full of the history of the home, American values and beautifully addressed for the Christmas season. The services, food and amenities cannot be beat in a surreal time setting in America's past. Christy was wonderful; she reached out to ensure we could gain access, answers questions and prepared our breakfast the next morning. She is the best and should be acknowledged for her spirit of excellent service. Rockwood Manor also has a Hokie room in the basement, I am sure it was in tribute to my son's graduation. Rockwood Manor is the best of the best!

They have a little convenience shop to the left of the desk filled with snacks and, luckily, floaties for the pool. The front desk ladies were polite and friendly! We stayed here twice, in the same room actually. It had 2 queen beds, a pull out couch, mini fridge, desk area, and a decently sized bathroom. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children and we had more than enough room. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, all in refillable pump bottles. The sink also had hand wash and body lotion. The pool area was kept clean and the staff said we could eat in there at the tables if we wanted. It wasn't a huge area, but there were at least 2 tables and several options for seating. The pool only went to 5 feet and had decent stairs for my toddler in the shallow end. There was also a small gym, complete with some dumbbells, an adjustable bench, treadmill, elliptical, and star stepper, plus a yoga mat and exercise ball. There was a small cabinet which held towels, wipes, and a water dispenser/cups. The only bummer was I saw the same dead moth under the elliptical both stays (2 weeks apart), so I know the gym hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast was decent-- it was the same both both times we had it. They have 3 cereal options, some yogurt and oatmeal, fresh fruit (apples, oranges, and bananas), two types of eggs, sausage, bacon, toast (even a GF bread), bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and a pancake maker. There was also coffee and tea. Everything was served until 9:30. There is always water with fresh fruit out. We ate at two nearby restaurants-- Fat Boy's Pizza and Cinco de Mayo Mexican and both were great! There is also a restaurant list inside the lobby. I felt safe staying here and had no issues in the parking lot. There were only a few other guests during both of our stays. This was a good spot to stay during our travels and I will definitely consider coming back!

My family & I were there for almost 6 months- the first few months we were there the property managers were very friendly, and helpful. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen, it reminds me of a studio apartment. During our stay there several different altercations took place on the premises between other people who were staying there and management. Drugs are VERY prevalent at this establishment, and are effecting the way this business is being ran. There is a noticeable change in the management and the way things are being done at this establishment. The rooms are not being cleaned well, and there are roaches in several of the rooms. During our stay there we were given linen upon check in- never again after that. There were burn holes & stains on the flat sheets we were given. The mattresses were gross, no mattress protector- I had to purchase my own. We were given tissues on occasion, but never toilet paper or other essentials that most motels would provide and are included in the room rates. There is no housekeeping on a day to day basis. The cleaning supplies that are provided, such as a vacuum or carpet cleaner are not cleaned and covered in filth. The washer & dryers that are paid for do not work, and the ones that are there for use of the property managers are only used by a select few people who are allowed. There are SEVERAL dogs here. Most defaecate all over the parking lot, and on the walkway that is upstairs. Overall this was not a positive experience and I'd strongly encourage you to look elsewhere to stay if you are able. The drugs and attitudes run rampant there. The managers are delusional and make up their own rules, and ways to charge people for rooms. (Such as if two working men are staying in the same room, they both have to pay rent rate, it cannot just be one of them at one rate) the door locks are not secure & someone can easily card your door. There were several occasions people were entering rooms they had no business being in, or had not given notice to go into. Hope this gives some insight and someone finds it helpful!
