Check-in was quick. Parking is ok.two floor building. Room was clean, smelled ok. Could be better. AC was working well. Thin walls., no stairs to second floor. Breakfast was not better than hampton inn next door. Drinking Hot water was not hot at 5pm. Tea bag was not ok. Coffee was water. Sofa inside room was good. Bed sheets , cleanliness was good. Gym is ok. No TV remote for the TV. Doordash works. Overall has lot of potential. read more

Room was literally DAMP and the air inside the room was more humid than it was outside. Sheets were old and pilling. Pillows looked like they'd been used for like 20 years. Giant mystery stain on my bed cover, musty mildew/mold smell, and no help with the room. Front desk just shrugged their shoulders. We left for another hotel. For 150$ a night, I'd expect a lot more that's for sure. read more

The rooms are average actually below average, beds are ok. The restrooms don't have an option to turn off the fan, plus had stains on the floor in the bathroom. I had to move rooms, just because they were upgrading bed frames. Could have waited until after I checked out or booked me in another room in the first place. And even the the manager wouldn't give a discount for the inconvenience. And the the room they gave me was a 2 queen room, but I booked a king sized room. Plus, the noise from the hall was really noisy. Even have semi trucks parked in the parking lot with their engines on all night. And they said that the hotel is non-smoking. But I smell cigarette smoke in the hallways and even marijuana smell out side the side doors. I don't recommend this hotel. read more

The outside is a little more dated than the inside. The inside has been remodeled. They might want to replace the bulbs in the lobby that have burnt out. This is not a good look for an open and inviting lobby. There is a gym and laundry room. The pool was currently unavailable. The hallways were also updated and clean. The room was nice with comfortable beds. They were on the softer side, FYI. The room had good size TV, decent size fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was decent. The only issues with the bathroom was the light and blower were on same switch making it loud at night. The big issue in bathroom was the curtain would not stay in shower because of curved bar and curtain length. Water was all over floor because of this. There is a breakfast available for free. It was not very good so would probably go somewhere else for it. read more

five stars! James was amazing... He helped our check-in process late at night and then our early departure. He even ensure that we had some breakfast to go despite being a very early departure. Thanks so much! read more

Pretty filthy place to stay. Door handle inside the room is broken with the battery hanging out, pillow cases for a lot of our part were dirty. Paint chipping of the walls, old and disgusting caulk around the toilet. Overall not recommended to stay. Spend a couple of extra bucks and stay at a cleaner motel. Overall a disgusting and filthy place to stay! I would give it a negative review if I could. read more

Avoid this hotel if you have literally any other options. It will do in a pinch, but I had the worst sleep of my life here. And for the covid cautious, worth noting that guests are required to wear masks but not a single employee was wearing one. The rooms suck. The pillows are thin and lumpy with a texture like the filling of a Beanie Baby. The walls are so thin I could understand my neighbors' entire conversation as if they were there in the room with me (and they were awake starting at 5 am, chatting and playing music until I checked out at 9:30 am). The housekeepers knock on every door starting at 8 am, waking you up instead of waiting until after checkout to clean rooms like any sane hotel would do. The heat will be turned off in the room when you arrive, so that you shiver miserably in bed waiting for the room to warm up -- because there are no comforters on the beds, only a stack of thin flat sheets. There were streaks all over the walls -- scrapes and paint marks from furniture that used to be there and other things that had scratched the wall. Worst of all, there were massive craters in the floor of room 207. Instead of repairing the floor, they just covered over the holes with carpet. That did not feel safe at all. Between the cold and the lack of soundproofing, I only got 3-1/2 hours of sleep out of 8 hours tossing and turning. Miserable. read more

While traveling, we stopped here because we had run out of steam in terms of driving. I used a booking site to find a hotel accepting pets, and this was our only option. Had I known what the property was like, I would have pressed on to another exit for a better option. Quality Inn is obviously a budget motel and I did not go into the booking expecting fluff. I wanted a bed to rest in and a place to feel secure. This property turned out to be the most neglected, run-down hotel or motel I have ever been in. We paid about a hundred dollars for a room. For that, I would expect at least...I don't know, proper lighting? The room was so shabby and out of date. The beds were acceptable, though I immediately did an in depth bedbug check after seeing the condition and debating a continuation of the stay. The computers were not working at the desk. A door to access the parking lot was not working. The snack machine was not working. The hall lights were not working. The hall had zero heat, which was amplified by the terrific cold snap we arrived in. The advert for the hotel proclaims proudly that rooms have jetted tubs. I personally didn't care about that because I feel a little ick about using a tub in hotel rooms in general, but the claim is an absolute lie. I didn't use the shower at all because I just couldn't face the squick factor. The staff were nice people trying their best to accomodate in a cruddy situation. I feel bad for them for having to work there, because clearly the owner doesn't even remotely care about the property. This is a place to avoid at all costs. Other hotels are in the area and may give you better value for your money. read more

STINK BUGS!!!!! This was the first and only time I ever left a hotel during the night. When we arrived we found that the security lock on the door was broken off, and the lamp in the corner had it's electrical cord cut off. We also noticed that there was no refrigerator or microwave, the front desk said they don't guarantee them, and if i booked directly with them instead of a third party I would have been told. I DID BOOK WITH THEM DIRECTLY......AND MY EMAIL CONFIRMATION SAID I GOT THEM. We finally gave up when we noticed a dozen plus stink bugs....... We left at 10:30 at night!!!!!! Gave them one star as the bathroom was really clean. read more

I had car issues while driving south with my son and my dog and was forced to stay at a hotel for the night. I was dropped off by the staff of a local dealership...however, if I had my car, I wouldnt have stayed. The lady behind the desk was friendly and asked if I had any type of discount I could use since it was obvious I didn't want to pay the $103 for the night with military discount. She applied some coupon and the total still came to just under $75 including a $20 per night pet fee . This amount is a bit steep, as there is no elevator and no rooms available on the first floor, and no one to help you carry bags up the stairs. The room was filthy with food crumbs all over the floor, trash, holes in the walls, stains on the linens and upholstery and mold in the bathroom. The air conditioning unit smelled and second floor window could be easily opened yet there was no screen....good thing my son is 5 and not younger, dumber or more rambunctious. The wifi is non-existent, the tv had lines from poor wiring which was hanging out of the wall. A few lights didnt work and the door was so flimsy I didnt feel as though my room was secure at all. There was a skunk in the pool area when we were there and the staff wasnt concerned about it at all. Even though we slept with our own sheets, blankets and pillows, my son and my dog woke up with red bumps all over their body. I was fortunate enough to be wearing bug spray. Its a total dump. Avoid at all costs. read more

D I S G U S T I N G!!! Unless you wanna lay in unwashed sheets don't stay here. Bring your own pillows and blankets AND SHEETS if you have no other options. Would give zero stars if I could. I used to work here and there was mice droppings in the breakfast room under the cabinets, they would never wash out the coffee canisters in the lobby. Bhavish Patel is the owner and he would even let us get harassed by a few of the guests. But I reckon the 45 dollar a night discount he was giving them was more important. And not to mention, since we are discussing discounts, how does a military or veteran get $1 off and yet a construction worker gets $45 flat no matter the day. Paychecks are shorted and they will tell you "it's about right" so imagine if there is an issue with your payment how they would treat that? If you're there during the day go ahead and peek in the laundry area for housekeeping and their closets. Notice something? BARELY ANYTHING TO CLEAN WITH!! And even the laundry room that they "wash your sheets" in is so nasty how clean do you think those linens are? Even the washcloths that they hang up in the rooms are BLACK AND BROWN and supposed to be white. I'm not being a petty ex employee. I'm trying to keep you all from getting sick from the rat poop and slept in linens. Wouldn't dry my buttcheeks with a towel that hasn't been replaced. Oh! I almost forgot. If you get harassed by two older Indian people in the lobby it's the owners parents. No worries they will be sure to ask you all about your job and how long you will be in and make sure you're following hotel rules. But I mean they don't say anything about the people who smoke weed in their rooms and all around the motel so I'm unsure why it matters. read more

Checked in. Was given a dirty room... the bed looked as if someone had just crawled out of it. The shower was still dripping from someone using it, their towel was hanging on the rail and their washcloth was on the edge of the tub. Went back to the front desk, told them it was dirty. No one apologized... said they thought it was clean. Gave me a new room. In the new room while it was relatively clean, the sheets were on inside out, the A/C heat doesn't work. It's either freezing or off. The fridge froze everything. Housekeeper came in and took our old towels and didn't give us new ones. Went to the front desk to ask for some and they said they didn't have anymore... read more

My family and I drove as far as we could but had to stop around midnight. We stopped here figuring it would be reasonable on price (considering it was Thursday) and clean. $100 on Thursday at midnight. That would be ok except for the room they give us has a moldy shower and paint peeling off the ceiling. read more

Quality Inn Dublin I-81 - Hotels Near Me - Dublin, Virginia

Newly Remodeled. Still serving a safe breakfast including waffles and such. Staff was so nice it made my night better! Also the front desk staff lady who was such a kind beautiful soul called my room to make sure it was of my satisfaction! Wow great place to stay. Breakfast was soooo good read more

Watch out for the "Safe w/ltd Warranty" charge on your bill. Rented 2 rooms, both did not have a safe, but still got changed per day. I loved the performance of the front desk clerk, "oh, that should not be there". Sat in the lobby during the checkout rush and heard the same line 3 times in a row. Rooms was not dirty, but was not clean either. Breakfast was not bad, but was not good either. Wifi worked, sometimes. Would rate 2 star if they did not try the old safe change gambit. Next time I will go somewhere else or just drive to the next exit. read more

I've been here barely three hours and I already know it was a mistake. $86 was charged to my debit card after a supposed law enforcement discount was applied....we'll see when I get my receipt. That price is amazing to me compared to the poor quality. It could be worse. But, for that price, it could be a LOT better. The one positive of this hotel is that the woman at the front desk was very kind. Other than that I can't find a single positive other than the fact it's better than sleeping in my car. (Not by much, but still.) I am a non-smoker, as is the person I am rooming with. The second we walked into our second floor room we could smell the stench of cigarette smoke. Now if you are a smoker, that's not me judging you. That's me judging the fact that this is a non-smoking room and it wreaks. Badly. The beds are terribly uncomfortable and the sad excuses for pillows do not help much. On the ceiling where there would normally be a smoke detector, there is simply a hole in the ceiling with a bunch of wires poking out. Half the lamps don't work. Traveling with a heavy suitcase isn't much of a problem as long as you do not stay here. Tall stairs to climb and no one to help with baggage. Considering the steep cost - you're better off elsewhere. Driving today since 6am on our way home from the Gulf Coast and just could not physically drive anymore because we are all exhausted. We stayed at a very nice hotel further south on our way to FL for not too much money. At that hotel the grounds, building and amenities were all great with a delicious continental breakfast (including free coffee or hot tea to go) beginning just before 6am. Here it is at 7am on weekends. We have a long ways to go and would rather not wait until half the day is over to get started. I will just go to a restaurant for breakfast instead. I would rather have stayed in one of the other hotels located close by, but we needed two rooms and the other places were either booked solid or only had one room available. In conclusion - this place sucks. There are a couple other very appealing hotels a stones throw from here, right on the same exit. If you are unable to avoid this place altogether, jump back onto 81 and stop somewhere else. Trust me. read more

This hotel is convenient to the interstate without the pricey cost of hotels nearer the university. It's an older hotel but they are remodeling. The staff is very friendly, considerate and helpful. The mountain sunset was spectacular! Great pit stop for the night. read more

Every hotel in the area was booked so we were stuck here. I see there are 4 filtered Yelp reviews so nothing shows up. Hopefully my review will. The room was shockingly expensive-- $100--shocking because the furnishings are badly worn and the place really needs an update, and it's kind of in the middle of nowhere in Virginia (a dump in a major city for $100 might be more understandable.)They didn't have a room ready for us by 3pm so we had to change for a wedding in the (dirty) lobby bathroom, which is unbelievable. Checking into a room at 3pm is hardly early. Further, there is a small sign at the desk saying there is a removable safe use fee. We didn't use our safe so I requested that the $2 was taken off, to which the clerk said it wouldn't be a problem. The charge still appears on my card. The free breakfast basically ran out of food and there were no tables so we had to eat on the floor of the lobby. We probably spent a total of 8 hours here for a quick sleep before getting back on the road. But won't be back. read more

Where to start.... This hotel is 1 star at best. Found a whole pack of cigarettes by the bed, the phone was covered in dust and grime and didn't call out, the shower and bathroom floor are deathly slippery, the breakfast bar is subpar with limited options, and the bed sheets had multiple stains The whole place feels damp and smells musty. If you're looking for a cheap option the Quality Inn is the place to be. read more

We stayed overnight 11/30/2013 on our trip home from Florida. I searched and booked the room in advance. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient and check in/ check out was flawless. We had a King Suite with Jacuzzi and the room was spacious and clean. My only complaints were how loud the doors were when closing and our room was next to the stairs so anytime someone walked them it sounded like a herd of elephants. read more

Seems like an okay spot. Dude, it had a pool out back which is more than I can say for super 8 motel. This place was not too shabby for the price. Not super nice but not dingy at all. I was in a rough spot one night on a road trip and this place was the only place left with vacant rooms after three tries at different spots. The lady at the counter was very nice and check in and out was easy. Phone in the room didn't work. read more

Unimpressive. If you're looking for a place to sleep, it will do. Breakfast barely qualifies as a breakfast even by hotel standards. We were very disappointed by it. The rooms were pretty clean and the beds ok. read more

This place is a complete disaster. The chain "Quality Inn" really let's you down with the actual quality. The other reviews really appear to do justice in explaining how bad this place is but I'll review it briefly. First thing is first; the only decent thing about this place was the bed I slept in was comfortable. That's it. What's wrong with the place? Dated and completely worn carpet in and out of the rooms, dated curtains, dated picture art, no fridge, no microwave, TV signal was brutal with minimal channels, absolutely horrible internet connection (WiFi and on the Lobby desktop), and no consistent desk worker. In one sentence: do not waste your money at this dump. read more

We stayed here overnight on our way down south. I was not expecting much, but even with low expectations I was disappointed. The room was clean-ish; I noticed some hair in the bathroom just when we entered the room. I think the price was too high for the overall quality of the facility. At about $90 I would expect that the bathroom sink tap is actually fastened to the sink, the shower curtain rail fully attached to the wall, and the air conditioner actually cooling the air quicker than it did. I was also taken aback by the high fee for a pet. The breakfast provided was nothing more or less than what can be expected from a hotel chain in this price range, however the room in which it is served is quite undersized for the amount of rooms they have. I will try a different chain on the way back. read more

Probably one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed at, and I have been traveling for almost 50 years. Obviously renovations are in process and employees told us that the "new" owners are doing it all wrong! Paint and chemical smell throughout the building. Half the room doors were covered in white primer paint. A chair in the hallway should have been a clue that things were going to get worse. Our room had the most disgusting bathroom I've ever been in. Tiles around the toilet had obviously been removed and replaced with a wood board. Base molding missing in several places. The telephone honestly was untouchably filthy. We requested a different room and it was not much better. Dripping water in the patched fiberglass tub left a rust stain and looked like it had not been cleaned in years. We really wanted to walk out and look for another hotel at 9 PM but we had just been driving for 11 hours and were exhausted. Wi-Fi also did not work. The place was so skeevy that my wife slept on top of the bedcovers and we both skipped showers in the AM rather than risk health issues. The plug for the hair dryer appeared to be damaged and possibly dangerous. Obviously this Hotel was not typical of Quality Inns or Choice Hotels, but I cannot understand how Choice could permit it to be offered publicly on its website. We did receive (reluctantly) a partial credit from a manager who either did not like what I had to report, or she was tired of constant complaints about this so-called Quality hotel. I hesitate to give this place even one star rating (minimum required) and I would allow this for the lobby entrance which was nearly finished and the only decent place in the entire facility. read more

My husband and I took a 15-day trip through the Blue Ridge Parkway. I planned the route in advance, and, using my Choice Privileges card, booked all the hotels in before we left. We had planned to stay one night in Floyd VA, but there were no Choice chain motels available there, so I booked the nearest one, which was this one, 40 miles from Floyd. I NEVER RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION NOTICE. At one of the Parkways' visitor's centers, we were told of a motel in Floyd, which I booked. I then called the hotel in Dublin to cancel, but was told they had a 10 DAY cancellation policy. That means I would have had to cancel the reservation before I ever made it!!!!! Obviously I was caught between a rock and a hard place since I had just booked the motel in Floyd, which is where we decided to stay. The manager will not budge even though he's been contacted on my behalf by both my credit card carrier and by Choice Privileges customer service department. It was an expensive mistake since we were charged $156 for a non-stay. Even worse, that was the most expensive hotel on our entire trip. read more
