Cannot doors are crooked and don't close.
Mark H.

So we arrived about an hour and half earlier than check-in and they accommodated our early check-in. Krystal was very friendly and pleasant. Upon getting to the room (#227), we noticed it was VERY dated and beat up. The cabinet doors under the sink were broken, hanging and unable to close. The cabinet where the fridge was was falling apart at the base and you could see the very damaged particle board (photos uploaded). It also looked like the carpet hadn't seen a vacuum in awhile, I mean a LONG while. Small debris was all over the floor and my toddlers feet turned black from walking on the carpet. The capper was the bathroom. There were no towels, the toilet paper rolls were empty and there were clumps of long black hair sticking to the shower wall. The room definitely was not cleaned that day. I advised the front desk and they said they would do a walk through of the room next to ours (#226) and when they were done, we could move our things into that room. Upon the walk through we moved our luggage into #226 and that's when we saw the overflowing trash can that hadn't been emptied from the last guests. It was obvious their cleaning staff doesn't care and makes no effort at all. I emptied the trash myself. The broken lamp shade and un-vacuumed floor definitely kept with the pattern of failure by the cleaning staff. The Wi-Fi didn't work well and kept dropping our Wi-Fi devices every few minutes. The pool is definitely NOT heated and there were no towels at the pool to dry off with. We had to go to the front desk and ask for towels. I was extremely disappointed with this Quality Inn and would never recommend this location to anyone (except maybe an enemy). I will never stay here again and I will be contacting their corporate headquarters regarding this property. BTW, the pictures of the exterior are very dated. The outside of the building is tangerine color now with white trim. I'm not even going to talk about the two tweakers staying in room 109... The nice staff at the front desk is why they get one star.

7/20/2017 Nice clean little motel. The King room was nice with lots of room and it was clean. Has a small refrigerator and microwave and a great air-conditioner. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was amazing considering this is just a hotel. They have A bigger breakfast selection than most places I have stayed. Eggs, link sausage and sausage patties, toast, muffins, donuts, waffles, and biscuits & Gravy. And much much more. Lots of coffee orange juice apple juice to drink. Everything was quite fresh and good. I give this place a good 3 1/2 stars and if it wasn't a bit overpriced for the rooms I probably would've gave them 4 stars. Still for a dog friendly hotel this was in bed. They do charge and extra 15 bucks if you have a dog. Most places I stay do not have this charge. Too bad it's the only reason I wouldn't stay here again. Enjoy

Looked up to find the smoke detector like this.. no batteries.

After a full day of driving my kids and I stopped for the night in roseburg, made a reservation here and we're absolutely disgusted. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels/motels across the country and this is by far the worst hotel. When we first walked in, it had a funky smell. Shower looks like it hadnt been cleaned in ages.. if at all, the shower curtain was moldy and gross, the door looked to have been pried open at one point. I Thankfully I brought lysol spray and wipes. One of the beds had metal posts sticking out about 7 inches or so, but the dust ruffle draped over it.. my daughter and I both hit our shins on them, not realizing they were there. I happened to look up and notice that the smoke alarm was open, with no battery inside. The carpet trim wasnt even attached to the wall in the bedroom. We went to the office and said it was disgusting.. their response "okay, sorry"

They double charged me and also added another $270 random charge to my account for a two week stay. Anthony and the other young guy at the front desk were super helpful.... even though they had no idea why those extra charges were on there. They had nothing to do with it. The books are ran by the owner. She said the double charge and the extra $270 were from the previous week. If you come across this situation... which I'm sure will happen... just call their corporate office like we did. The owner definitely changed her tone and fixed things right after that. Oh yeah.... and spiders in the bed.

Sink

This is simply the worst hotel experience I have had in my life. The desk clerk was friendly and tried to be accommodating but I was sent not to one not two not three but four dirty rooms in a row. This included dirty bedspreads hair left in the sink and in the final room which was supposed to be their pet friendly suit , a bathroom that smelled like urine the way a New York subway smells like urine. When I asked for a refund the clerk said this was not possible because I had booked through bring Fido.com. I understand that times are tough due to Covid, but a hotel that cannot present a traveler with a clean room has zero right to be open. I felt it would have been unsafe to stay in any of these rooms. I recommend you stay in your car if your only choice is this hotel in Roseburg Oregon!

Nice clean property located just off the 5 freeway in Roseburg. My room was very large with plenty of room. There is a little road noise, but what can you expect with a location so near the highway. Front desk staff was wonderful and gave me good recommendation for a dinner. I travel between Pasadena CA, Portland OR and Seattle WA several times a year and this just became one of my places to rest my head. The hotel offers free high speed WiFi it is not wireless. The ethernet cable is located at the writing table. If your computer goes in sleep mode you will have to go through the user agreement each time. iPhone users beware there is no AT&T service for the iPhone wireless feature even though the signal strength is very good for the phone

This is how the night stand looked when we arrived - These are beverage spots. Sanitation is important in the midst of covid.

Excellent accommendations and ammenities; fast service, friendly and professional receptionist staff and manager and also affordable prices. Breakfast was free and delicious; coffee was also fresh and great. Hot tub and pool was super clean and well-maintained. Bedrooms with queen bed, closet, drawer, restroom, refrigerator, microwave, small table and television were very clean and neat. Low AC also worked pretty well and functioned properly. Highly recommended and absolutely worth it! Totally staying here again eventually when I visit Douglas County, Roseburg, OR and Crater Lake National Park.

But how ever, this stay at this best western has been the most disgusting, horrible, stay that i have ever had in my lifetime!!! We reserved rooms for a wedding and some of the guest came in on a Wednesday and left on a Saturday. Their rooms were never serviced in any way no clean linens, towels, nothing. Wow theirs 2 adults 3 kids for 3 days and no clean towels gross!! The floor in the rooms were so gross and dirty kids had to play on the bed after bath cause u would have to wash mud of their feet before bed again.. then you get a kitchen room where you can prep items for the wedding ( ir they know we were their for wedding booked mnths ahead) in that room and you pay over 300.00 for 2 nights and you get a non working dish washer, garbage disposal don't work, sink fills up with water dnt drain front desk says well at least you have 1 side that works!! Coffee pot don't work, no kitchen towels, drawers in fridge you have to force open. Air conditioner you have to trip the test box on plug in for it to work for 5 to 10 min no working lights in hallway. You have to take a shower bath how disgusting cause your feet are like mud cause the floor arnt clean!! I will never stay here again and i will make sure everyone i know that goes to roseburg don't go to best western!! The only clean thing about this best western was the swimming pool.. you can walk across the parking lot and have cleaner feet then walking in your room... If I could give a negative review number it would be a negative 5.. To top it all off they wanted to give one group of ours that checked in a room that was dirty!! They hadn't even cleaned from the previous people. How rude we had to tell them no!! The room isnt ready!!

I was a bit shocked to exit the 4th floor elevator to find an open air walkway to all rooms. Upon entering the room, which seemed clean but dated, I was surprised to see a door at the back of the room with a deadbolt. There was a balcony out there with chairs and a small table. It was dark, but I could see reflections off the water four stories down. A lake? The pool and work out space is modern and inviting. The lobby fireplace is quite the impressive feature. Decor there is beautiful. What a unique property! So glad I stayed here. Breakfast was closing down when I finally got to it in the morning. But coffee was hot and scrambled eggs still warm. We had stayed here before a few years back and it was good with wonderful views. This time it was like arachnophobia. The first day we didn't get in to sleep until too late so pretty much just went to bed. The second night we were back earlier and that is when we noticed just how many spiders we had slept with. Now to begin the dog friendly rooms are on the bottom floor outside of the main hotel while still connected. We had room 100, which was the end room. When we checked in and I opened the drapes a spider fell out of them onto the a/c panel but mv husband came and took care of that as I HATE spiders. No biggie it happens right...well forward to the second evening I was sitting sideways on the bed and a spider ran across my pillow in my bea....um no thank you... I killed it and wasn't happy. My daughter then said to look above my headboard and there was another type of spider on the wall. I told my husband oh no we need to change rooms and he said no way it was just two spiders ...hahaha. About an hour later my daughter went into the bathroom to shower and when she came out she said there was a spider in the shower and did I see all the spiders in the bathroom...um no. So I went into the bathroom and above the light fixture above the sink you could tell had not been cleaned in ages and there were in fact a few smaller dead spiders and two daddy long legs they don't bother me as they don't really move), then she told me to look in the door frame and again another daddy longleg. My husband was already in the covers going to sleep and said it's fine we aren't moving cause we are leaving in the morning. I was ready to sleep in the car but it was like 34 degrees outside so that wasn't the best idea. So turned off the lights( mistake) and my daughter and I started to watch tv. Lights off, spiders out...we counted 18 spiders in our room that night. As you can imagine I didn't sleep well and covered my head in a shirt lol. On checkout we told the lady at the desk about the issue and the spiders and unfortunately she wasn't surprised. She was very nice and said that yeah the end rooms seem to get a lot of spiders...! asked why they don't use pest control to get rid of them I mean come on. There are ways to take care of this. I told her I didn't want to sleep in that room and she said she wouldn't have either with spiders. She gave us $30 off our bill and apologized. Let's just say I don't think I will be back to stay. I filled out the survey and at the end it asked if you wanted to be contacted by management but of course I never was and I also put a review on there form for their website but it was never published. The view was wonderful but the spiders ruined it all.

One elevator only, not only is it incredibly slow, it makes a weird grinding noise when the doors closing, like it's off track.... My room key kept deactivating (4 times)so imagine having to go all the way back downstairs after realizing so (I'm on the fourth floor), i'm visiting here for work, so I was exhausted and the elevator was taking so long I opted for the stairs. There happen to be heavy rains, and whether there is no gutter or it's damaged, because my window had just massive waterfall rain. Not sure if the window is not sealed properly or if there is something wrong with the AC unit as the floor underneath became completely soaked. Because of the storm as well, the TV cable cut out, I've stayed in many hotels and many different weather situations, and I have never had the TV go out with a note on the screen it's not working because of the rain.... When I used the air unit it made a loud clicking noise the wouldn't stop so I just had to make do without air flow. Odd that there was no body wash in the room and water gets a little warm definitely not hot and takes ages to even get to that level. Same with the sink, probably a little bit worse actually, I don't believe I ever got warm water. There are no "do not disturb" signs, I didn't sleep very well as I was super anxious that house keeping might try to walk in LOL. More of a personal issue I suppose, I guess what's weirder is housekeeping, didn't even enter my room when I was gone, which they would normally do in hotels if you don't have a "do not disturb" sign. Walls are so thin, I could hear my neighbors cell phone vibrate on desk and their child laughing. Thankfully their visit was not super long. Wouldn't stay here again, though
