I will say the public areas of the hotel appear clean and well maintained. It's somewhat uncommon for us to dine at a hotel restaurant without staying at the hotel as well. We however have stopped at Season's three different times now when there's been a snafu with going to another destination. We haven't been disappointed yet. We've had the Friday fish, Sunday broasted chicken and rounded it out with a ribeye to boot. Pleasantly surprised with each dinner. They each seemed to be a quality entree with decent flavorings. It is a restaurant within a hotel, so it's not super fancy. I note it as a worthy destination if you find yourself looking for a bite to eat and it's that time of day when other area restaurants might have too long of a wait.

We finally make it to our room, open the door and find it's not just the hallway that's a sauna, but the room too. First things first, where is the AC? Second, after being on the road over 4 hours, the bathroom. I walk in the bathroom to find a toilet that is so small and short that it looks like it was pulled out of a grade school. Then I notice a handicapped grab bar in the shower. Nice feature, right. But I have to ask, who puts a handicapped grab bar in a second floor hotel room that doesn't have an elevator so the handicapped can access the room? Where is the logic in that? Also there are no available sockets near the bed to plug in and change cell phones. We are in a room with 2 queen size beds and there is only one light source between the 2 beds to be shared by both beds. They advertise free Wi-Fi, but the signal is so weak my husband could not get a text message to go through to his brother on the first floor. So now after just 3 hours of sleep on a rock hard mattress, here I sit in the dark for over an hour now, at 3:30am, unable to breathe due to the mold and mildew in a hot room writing this review and looking for a different hotel to stay in hoping that the shower at least has good water pressure and wondering how this place is rated as one of the best hotels in the area. I had to go down to the desk to pay, even though they already have my card on file. I complained about the bait-and-switch, and to their credit, the Manager authorized the half price, though I had to listen to a sermon about "Just this one time, other hotels wouldn't do this, blah, blah, blah." They OK the room, ask for my ID, even though I've already been there for two days, then produce a "pet policy" form regarding my service dog. I told them "He's not a pet, he's a service dog" they insisted I fill out their form, even though I explained they were in violation of Federal law. The woman had the audacity to say "Yes he is a pet, even if he IS a service dog." (Not according to the Feds). They offered me further guff about taking him into the breakfast room to get a cup of coffee, but eventually backed off on that, too. My little service dog is extremely well trained and mannerly, quiet as a mouse, and sits in my arms when we're in restaurants, stores, etc. Bottom line, if you are disabled, skip this place unless you want to put up with a lot of shaming and scolding. These folks have not done their homework on how to treat service dogs.

They were modern and we'll kept. Those were some of the positives. We were double booked with another family, so we were bumped from the cabin with the washer and dryer.... Not the end of the world but when you have small children and plan on a washer and dryer being present it is difficult. The resort advertises WiFi, but not a single person in our group picked up the signal or was able to use it. This was not fixed by the owner during our stay. It was not a big deal, but when trying to search for dinner ideas ect, we had little reception and no WiFi to help. The beach was not cleaned of dead fish and seaweed until Wed /Thursday. Again, not the end of the world but when you have a busy 2 year old, it is not fun constantly having to direct him around the seaweed and dead fish. It was slightly odd how the owner came and sat/monitored us packing up at 7:30/8am when check out is 9am. It was just different I guess. Not bad but not great. We rented pontoon boats from the owner, but he had taken out the lights so we could not use them at night on the lake. We highly recommend not renting the boats from the owner if you want to be legally on the boat at sunrise /sunset. Overall we had a nice family trip but will not be staying here again due to the changes from what was advertised (WiFi /laundry /pontoon rental -no night restrictions listed)

We just had our daughters wedding up in Door County, Wisconsin this weekend…read more Upon check in to Our Lakeside Legacy House in Baileys Harbor Wisconsin, the door code they sent to us was incorrect. So, the problems started with terrible communication before we ven stepped foot into the door. I called, and called for 2 hours. No one mans there phone system, or lets say there is NO phone system. I was literally in tears, as we were hostiung a family dinner that was being catered. The caterers and I stodd outside, waiting and waiting. Finally after two hours someone called me back with a new code. Cimmunication is non existent, and I have asked them twice since our departure to have a management person call me, so I could address these problems verbally, rather than writing a negative review for them. . I tried emailing them twice after they kept asking for me to review them and the house..and no one has gotten back to me.. I never write reviews, but 7400 dollars for three nights. and no response, I need to warn other families.. Because it was our daughters wedding, I decided to splurge, and it was not easy to do so.. I had high expectations, And were very disappointed. Upon entering, the house smelled horrible, the entire place smelled of dust ad dirt, and very unpleasant. The caterers started to light the oven, upon opening the oven, it was FILTHY, looked like it hadnt been cleaned it 5 years. It was horrible to warm up our lovely food under these conditions. When we opened the cabinets to bring out glassware, there were dead flies and insects all over. The very very bad smells continued all over the upstairs too. There were old dirty wet towels in one of the showers. There was a mans pair of shoes saturated in DOG POO sitting outside the third floor balcony. Which was really gross to have to deal with . Very bad value for funds spent. WE are Wisconsin people and come and rent houses frequently in Door County, and have never had am experience like this.
