This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I booked through Booking.com, showed up expecting everything to be handled, and instead got kicked out in the middle of the night because they claimed they didn't accept the payment. After already paying, I was then pressured at my door to hand over cash on the spot. It felt completely unprofessional and honestly sketchy. The condition of the hotel itself is unacceptable. The entire place smelled terrible, and the room was filthy. There was visible mold, roaches in the bedding (yes, in the bed), and multiple outlets didn't even work. The TV was outdated and barely functional. It gets worse--they refused to issue a refund and then attempted to charge my card multiple times (8 attempts) for $168.88. That's beyond bad service that's borderline fraud. The overall environment felt rough and uncomfortable, not somewhere you'd feel safe staying, especially at night. Avoid this place at all costs. There are way better options nearby that won't put you through this kind of experience. read more

Pretty much everything can be improved. The room needed a SERIOUS DEEP CLEANING !!!!! There were some small holes and it just looked dirty. Slept wirh lights on and didnt get any sleep waiting for bugs to come out. The only good thing about the room was the shower. Towels were a minimum and couldn't get extra pillows. The pillows we had weren't even a full size pillow. The breakfast that was offered wasn't even worth eating ! I definitely wouldn't stay there again !!!! read more

At the time of writing this, I don't understand how they have three and a half stars. Let me spin you my yarn. Don't worry, I'll hit up "Gary" at Priceline next. I spent 14 minutes on the phone with Priceline explaining to "Gary" that I needed a suite with sleeping accommodations for three adults, two children, and had to at LEAST have one of the sleeping chambers separable from the rest of the suite by a closable door. Why? Because I'm traveling with two younger sons and my daughter-in-law to pick up my son (her man) from a military training evolution and was going to let them have the bedroom while I slept with my younger sons in a different room. The intent was to give my son and his wifey their own privacy behind a closed door for the four days we had planned on staying here. "Gary" expressed his clear understanding and booked us at the Quality Inn and Suites here in Stafford, VA. We checked in two days later, today, only to discover that "the room you booked is occupied and instead you're getting this:" "This" room being a regular king bed room with no door or privacy. Asked the desk clerk (anisusa@yahoo.com) for a refund and he said you got what you got and take the complaint to Priceline. I took the complaint to Priceline. They're response was to take the complaint to the hotel, but assured me that "perhaps" their resolution department would contact me in 48-36 hours. So instead I called my credit card company and reported a fraud claim, which is in the works at the moment. Also, the bathroom door doesn't lock. Water pressure is great. That's the one star right there. Water pressure. read more

First glance says this is a nice one especially for the cost! But then again you get what you pay for right.. Air unit the room barely keeps them temperature at a moderate temp. So there's a feeling of the room being musty and humid all the time. Main door is not balanced so much so that one has to lift the door to set the locks. Breakfast considering most place don't really provide a breakfast, the breakfast was about a 4 out of 10. Potatoes weren't cooked through, bread was hard before it went into the toaster, and the only reason I say a 4 is because they actually have a waffle maker. read more

Unwelcoming and smelly, first room the unfriendly attendant assigned us was supposed to be smoke free! As soon as I opened the door it smacked me in the face. We asked for another room. This one smelt like baby powder (better than smoke) however when we woke up next morning we could smell the smoke that was being covered up. People are living full time in the hotel cooking strong smelling foods and lingering around outside smoking at all times of the day. We did not feel comfortable or welcomed. We were here for business and decided to leave early due to the hotel and other crappy options in the area. Not even a "nicer" hotel in the area even if we wanted to pay double. Really kick-ass service here. I loved the girl at the front desk (wish I could remember her name - maybe Stephanie?) The place is clean, and cute. The rooms are spacious (very dimly lit but nice) There is a small but efficient breakfast in the morning, eggs potatoes, sausage, make your own waffles, and the usual bagels/cereal/bananas etc. Plenty of parking, and close to major highways and a lot of shopping areas. The beds were comfy and they even had a little gym with some cardio machines. For the price it was great! read more

On the way back from a trip up north, we stopped here for a rest and a good nights sleep. I have to say it was a very nice place. You can tell its an older place but they remodeled all the rooms and it was very well done. The front desk person was friendly and knew what they were doing. The beds were great... the bathrooms were clean it was well worth the money. The breakfast in the morning was also good. Better than others I have had in the past. I also liked the free wi-fi. The Inn is also within walking distance to many places to eat which was nice. I will have to remember this place on my next trip up north. Enjoy! read more

Not fancy or anything, but the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. They have their own parking lot and there was plenty of parking. This hotel is very close to a Walmart, Target, Wawa, and a lot of restaurants. This hotel is also very close to MCB Quantico. read more

I am so impressed with the attention to detail this hotel has!! We are moving out of our home on military orders to PCS there's a gap between out tenants moving into our home and us flying out so we got a room for us and our two dogs. (Government rates are great here) after we settled the front desk brought us two gift bags FOR OUR DOGS! Complete with enough food for the stay, a bag of treats each, poop bags AND a chew toy each! WOW! I had no idea they offered that it was such a nice surprise. Just that simple act made me a return customer. The AC is freezing, always a must, and they have coffee available 24/7. These things may not be high on your bucket list but as long as my doggies are happy and I'm caffinated, it's a great day. This will be the place I stay whenever I'm in need of a bed and a few friendly faces. GREAT JOB QUALITY INN read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. We booked this hotel while traveling and need to rest for the night. Booked the room for $100 for the night through hotels.com, arrived the front desk staff was nice and checked us in fairly quickly. The real horror began once we arrived to the room, we entered the room and it had a stale odor. Upon looking around we found cockroaches crawling in the bathroom and the outside wall of the bathroom, near the front door area. Horrified we immediately called hotels.com and my fiance went down to speak with the front desk staff. The front desk lady called her boss/manager who basically said there was nothing he would do or offer. The best was another room, however after seeing cockroaches crawling in the room, I was not willing to go into another room. If one room is cockroach infested, I'm sure that is not the only place they are crawling. We also called choicehotels since they own quality inn & suites and they informed us they can't do anything until we checked out. Spoke to the front desk lady about checking out and she said we can't technically check out until the morning when room audits are done. This absolutely blew my mind, how can you tell me I can't check out until you complete a room check/audit, obviously you don't check anything considering the room was infested with cockroaches. Absolutely deplorable. We will for sure, never stay at a Quality Inn & Suites or any choice owned hotel. Beware and stay away. Luckily we were able to drive about a mile up the road to a Mariott owned hotel for the same price! That was spotless! read more

This hotel isn't too bad if you're only staying a night or two. The staff is great, very professional and personable. The "hot" breakfast buffet is wack. The waffle machine is the all star in that lineup. The eggs taste like cardboard, the potatoes have the texture of styrofoam and the sausage smells like an old tackle box. read more

My family of four stayed here a couple nights ago and had a wonderful stay. The bed and furnishings were all nice, but the bathroom was the best part - it appeared brand-new and recently remodeled, complete with granite counters and a fabulous shower stall. The towels were the softest towels I've ever used in a hotel. They had a great hot breakfast comprised of bacon, sausage, cheese omelets, cereal, yogurts, bagels, etc. I would definitely come back! read more

I had a bad experience. Others may not. The hotel itself if ok for what it is. The problem I had was with the manager who did not have a grasp of how customer service works. Here is what I put on the survey form I was sent. ---- I reserved a 5-night stay and through a misunderstanding, my company's travel agency also booked a reservation using their own credit card. I had no knowledge of duplicate reservations and when I checked in was told I would be billed for an extra night since it was not cancelled. I explained it must be a mix up with the travel agency and that I only booked one room using my personal credit card. I agreed to pay for the $450 for the 5-night stay, but asked if the other charge could be waived. A call to the manager did not help, the manager fully intended to bill for the other reservation as well. So I assumed the other credit card used to place this second reservation would be charged. It was an Amex card according the the desk clerk. This did not happen and my personal card was charged for both reservations. My first thought was that maybe the hotel was booked all week and revenue was lost due to the mix up. This would have been fine and understandable, but to my surprise, the hotel did not appear to be busy at all throughout the week. By the number of cars in the parking lot and the number of people at breakfast, I would guess the occupancy rate was less than 40%. I understand the policy of charging for a night's stay when a reservation is not cancelled, but when the customer is actually staying for a week, making the right decision is not difficult. The manager at this hotel has burned a customer and damaged the Quality Inn brand in order to record an extra $89 in revenue. Add that to her bonus. --- So for this reason, I will stay someplace else next time. The Wingate across the street looks nice and they were willing to match the $89 rate once I asked their reservations agent. 800-337-0077 After filing a dispute with my bank, they have issued a chargeback. Staff is super friendly. Better price than the surrounding hotels. Breakfast is good for the room price. If out of food, the staff quickly replenishes the food. Very quiet. Juices and coffee available all the time. Rooms are clean. Stayed twice, months apart. Once in Nov-Dec 2018 and again in March 2019. Would stay again over the other hotels in the area. read more

It is weeks later and I am still scratching from the bug bites I received from the fleas that were in my room. I travel extensively for work and this is the first time I have ever suffered an experience like this. More so, when I went to the lobby and told the young gentleman who was on duty about the bugs in my room (At the time I didn't know what they were - bed-bugs or fleas All I knew was that I had bites all over me but mostly on my legs.) he told me he had some insecticide I could use. He told me, and I quote, "I think this stuff kills ants and roaches." So now I get the option to become the hotel's exterminator. How nice. I told him I wanted at a minimum a new, non-bug infested room and that I wanted to talk to the manager. He explained to me that the manager did not come in till 1000 am and left early. Since I was in town on business and had to work I could not be there to talk to the manager at his convenience and therefore requested that he be told of my room situation, and wait for me to return at 5:00 pm. Upon returning that day there was no manager but a nice young lady at the desk who had no idea that I had a complaint. I went to my new room and checked as best as I could for bugs. I did not discover any with my inspection. Till the next morning when I awoke to more bites and the actual culprits on my legs. I captured two of them and took them to the lobby where I found the same young man I talked to the previous morning. Hey, I told him. Do you see this?! I put them on the counter for him to see and they promptly jumped away. He told me that he told the manager and that they sprayed my first room. And then he says, "I told the manager, but he still put another lady in your first room, I don't know why , and she had the same complaint about the bugs. I had to move her too. But we're going to spray the room and take care of it." I guess that's all good and well, however this didn't fix my dilemma at all. I again requested to see the manager, who again wasn't available, and who was not available again when I returned from work. This was late Thursday and I was checking out at 3:00 am the next day in order to catch an early flight so I didn't bother changing rooms again. I mean really, what's the point? So I could get another bug infested room? So I didn't bother sleeping that night and checked out early. read more
