The bathroom also has a blow dryer if needed. I was on the first floor, and very close to the icemaker, which is a huge plus for me. The fitness center is ridiculously small, therefore I did not use it because it was always very busy. They do have a water station in the fitness room, so I did go in there to fill up my water several times. The indoor pool looked nice, but I did not have time to enjoy it. They have a little convenient store at the lobby if you need snacks or necessities. All of the staff were very friendly while I was there. The complementary breakfast buffet was delicious, and I like that they changed out the protein. I ate scrambled eggs and bacon, with a waffle, one day, and the same with chicken sausage the next. They also had pork sausage patties, various bread selections, milk, yogurt, oatmeal, And cereal. I love a good free breakfast! The only downside to my experience was the shower in my room, it had mold on the floor and on either side of the door.

Met with Chico (who I believe is the owner), he was embarrassed that at 2:00 in the afternoon there were about an hour shy of having the room(s) he'd earmarked for us ready yet. No real problem, I knew I was running ahead of schedule. Before heading out Chico took us to the room he'd had earmarked to give us a choice between, we made our choice and headed into Colonia Beach to hit the first round of the bars. Got back ninety minutes later with our paperwork done, keys waiting, and the staff very apologetic. Over the course of the weekend, the room was clean and well cared for, the bed was comfortable, and what they call a 'breakfast room' . . . . . . let's just say it was beyond anything I'm normally used to in a motel that includes breakfast, to the point that I didn't bother with lunch the entire weekend, just filled up with breakfast and was good until supper time. And the woman who does the cooking is very good. Ok, this is a review, so I supposed I'm expected to complain about something. The plastic tableware in the breakfast room was flimsy. Happy now? The entire place smelled terrible, and the room was filthy. There was visible mold, roaches in the bedding (yes, in the bed), and multiple outlets didn't even work. The TV was outdated and barely functional. It gets worse--they refused to issue a refund and then attempted to charge my card multiple times (8 attempts) for $168.88. That's beyond bad service that's borderline fraud. The overall environment felt rough and uncomfortable, not somewhere you'd feel safe staying, especially at night. Avoid this place at all costs. There are way better options nearby that won't put you through this kind of experience.
