Not a bad stay if you enjoy a moldy bathroom and moldy amenities! This is my second time here and both rooms have been disgusting. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who has to stay here, myself included. The department of health needs to inspect this place ASAP. Clean, but not real clean. Simple as most motels are. Unfortunately this place left me itchy with a bug bite. Not sure what got me, but I def made sure to run everything through the dryer when I got home. Bed wasn't the best, sounded like you are on a cardboard box when you moved around. Good enough I guess. Motel is pricey for the accommodations as it is beginning to show its' age. The mattresses and the carpets are in dire need of replacement. Mold is apparent in several locations in the room I stayed in. Outside are electrical outlets but seldom do they work and those that do only one of the two are operable. They lady day manager, the weekend I checked in, was friendly and helpful. Her antithesis was the night manager who had the customer service skills of a brick. This unit has potential and is without any immediate competition which may be the reason it has declined so quickly. I stayed for simply the convenience but I would not have my family stay there under current conditions. read more

The front lobby is renovated and they put in granite in the bathrooms, otherwise this place is rough. Paid $92 for one night. Comforter is nicotine yellow with brown dirty edges followed by rips. Pillow cases stained. Flies and a fun stink bug. Wall unit AC was unplugged. That said i'm glad I didn't electrocute myself plugging it in to the wall plate that was falling off the wall. Also, looks like someone kicked in the door as it's reinforced- shotty job. Lamps shades have who knows what smeared on them. Doors are smeared with finger prints and counters still have residue from a spilled drink. The decorative mirror has leftover spray on it from something, i don't know what. Don't believe me? Take a look at the pictures. The Red Roof would have been a better option. The best part is the display that tells you what you're charged for damages! when their rooms look like this. read more

Stayed here while driving to NH from Florida. Booked on line at Choice Hotel just because Jasper was at how many miles we wanted to drive for the day. We pulled in at 12am and I was pleasenrly surprised on how clean and bright and the lobby was. Woman at the desk was very friendly and checked us in fast. We scored with a first floor roll so no lugging bags or kids up the stairs. The room itself was problem the nicest Quality Inn room we have ever stayed in. It looked to be updated, clean and neat. Did have things in need of repair or stains. Bathroom small but useful. I will say probably the best shower I have had in awhile. Great shower head and amazing water pressure!! I didn't want to ever get out! Nice comfortable beds to lay our tired heads. We did come across a few bugs...but I'm pretty sure we were in Tennessee in the summer in a motel / lodge. Bugs fly inn not a big deal. They certainly weren't there because of the place being dirty. Breakfast was the typical continental Choice hotel breakfast. It was warm and we were the only ones there that morning. Only negative so have is I dislike how if we were staying more than one night during the day I wo have to keep shade down. People walking by can see right in. Kinda of weird and oh it wouldn't matter anyway because only view you have is of a giant Firework store, dumpster and big gravel parking lot. An over night stay was well worth the cost! I paid much more in Florida this past week for a room that wasn't half as nice as this one was. It's too bad that they all couldn't look like that on the inside. I would for sure stay here again! read more

Newly remodeled as of April 2014. This place was sparkling new and freshly painted. All new everything in the rooms. Very clean, flat screen tv, microwave, mini fridge, new bath vanity and bathtub, new carpeting. The only downside for me is that these open to the outside (not in a building hallway) - I prefer more security. The area seems safe enough though. Front lobby area is white and modern, plenty of spaces to eat breakfast which was a decent buffet. Sausage patties, fried egg patties, waffle maker, pastries, toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. Would stay here again! read more

It wasn't awful, but, it wasn't great. Most of the Quality Inn's I've stayed in over the years have been great. (Which is why I booked this one over the other options). That being said this is surely one of the weirdest ones I've stayed in. It feels like it used to be a warehouse that was converted into a hotel (more a motel as the rooms are all outside facing) that sits directly behind an *extremely* well lit fireworks store. Thankfully we were in the back. The rooms are super boxy and give off a weird paid storage room vibe - however - in their defense they did a pretty good job with the interior to mask it. My only real complaint was the water didn't get very warm either of the times I attempted to use it. All in all, I'd say it's okay - not as bad as some of the other reviews but I can't recommend staying here for more than a night. 3 stars feels right. Don't pay more than 75-90 for the night. read more

A cheap, clean place to stay if you're just passing through or if you need to get out of town for a couple of nights. The breakfast is definitely frozen, but the Hardee's or gas station in the same lot can satisfy hunger until lunch time. People complain about bugs; we found one cricket on the side of the bed and had no other issues. Staff was kind and helpful. They were very accommodating with the pet policy. If you're travelling with a pup, this is the place to stay. The rooms were simple and easy to navigate. It would be very easy to get out to walk the dog or play in the large empty lot. Four stars because of the breakfast and the tiny bathroom, although it was very clean. The shower was actually very nice -- adjustable head! I personally would stay again. It's far enough out of Chattanooga for us to stay out of the city, but not so far that we have nothing to do. read more

We booked this hotel through Priceline while trying to find a place to stay for the solar eclipse. We were pleasantly surprised to see the front lobby looking pretty clean, and were happy to have a room on the second floor so we can see a nice view of the mountains. Unfortunately, the good qualities end there. One word: BUGS!!! When nighttime came around, we started finding a bunch of bugs in our room. We found two spiders near the wall, another bug on the bed, another by the bathroom, and a huge one flying near the wall. We didn't know how we were going to fall asleep there and even considered taking turns sleeping to make sure no bugs were crawling on each other. The best thing about it was the view and location of the motel, as there was a gas station and restaurant in the same lot. read more

My experience was very similar to S.T.'s. The lobby and breakfast area was huge, gleaming bright white and spotless. The service at check in, breakfast, and check out was fast and extremely friendly. It appears that this motel used to be a standard roadside motel rather than a Quality Suites. Our "suite" obviously used to be adjoining standard motel rooms. This was not an issue; in fact, it made our suite huge. One room of the suite was nearly empty. It had a standard size fridge, a wall of cabinets with counter (no sink), a large counter height table with no stools and a microwave on top, a very small wall mounted desk with swivel chair, a small sleeper love seat, a TV, and a crap ton of empty floor space. To be fair, the advertisement online for this room clearly indicated that the sofa sleeper accommodated only one person. The other room in our suite consisted of two double beds, a wall mounted TV, a large sink area with granite counter, and a small but functional bathroom. Again, plenty of empty floor space (I should have taken pictures, as the rooms were almost comically sparse). The room did have a bit of a musty smell; this the 4 star rating. The quality of breakfast was a bit on the low side. The egg hockey pucks were clearly powdered and/or pre-formed and frozen. Sausage was bland and undercooked. Despite being freshly made, the do-it-yourself waffles were spongy and tough. They also offered toast, bagels, pastry, cereal, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The woman servicing the breakfast bar kept it open a few extra minutes to accommodate me and another party who were late arrivals. WARNING: Breakfast ends at 9am, even on the weekend. The price and the service make this place a good deal. I would stay here again. read more

We arrived late, about 11:30 p.m., on a trip from Savannah to Nebraska. I was with my 16 y.o. son. We were both pleasantly surprised with how nice and clean the lobby was. It smelled really fresh and clean. The young lady at the front desk was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The only room that was available at that time was a handicapped room with two king beds. We were again surprised at how clean the room felt. It was very updated too. We had brought our own sheets but we ended up not even using them because their bedding passed our "inspection". It wasn't fancy, but for the price we were very satisfied and will stay there again when we pass through next year. I think our room was about $89...great value. read more

Very happy to get a first floor room as a "walk-in". Liked the walk-in shower instead of a tub. Very clean. Staff very pleasant, also gave us recommendation for a good non-chain restaurant. Only downside was that WiFi was very spotty. read more

The room and lobby were updated which was great. We were comfortable but it seemed a little pricey for a two story walk up motel. Breafast, fitness room and staff were great. Ample parking and convenient to food and gas. I would try something else in the area next time or spend a bit more and stay in chatanooga. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Had it not been 9:00 at night I would have driven to a different hotel. We had racked up enough points for a free night and had decided to stop at this location. Never again. Super strong deodorizing smell as soon as we walked in, the floors were sticky and had stuff all over them. Hair left in the shower, toothpaste in the sink and splatter on the mirror. And dead BUGS in 4/5 different locations of the room. One was smashed on the cabinets in the "suite" area of the room. A spider crawling on the wall. Microwave had food splattered all over the inside. Chair had a wheel broken off. When I spoke to the front desk they acted like nothing was wrong, like almost questioning why I had a problem with the disgusting room. Never apologized. I asked for a new room and it was better for the most part. Still some dead bugs in the corner. Best advice, don't stay here. Drive the extra hour to the next place like I should have. read more

While hotel staff was friendly some serious mistakes were made concerning my bill. My credit card was double charged and I was charged for an extra night. As I previously stated staff was friendly and helpful in getting bill corrected. The room was another matter. Bathroom was nasty and coverlet on beds were stained. This is actually a motor lodge / motel. It is cheap and clean. We were traveling back from Florida and needed a cheap and clean place to sleep and eat breakfast. I bought 2 rooms because we were traveling with 2 older kids. The entire place had a strong deodorizer smell. Rooms were clean but the couches in both rooms had nasty stains. We were afraid to set on them. We checked rooms closely for bug, everything as fine and pretty clean. Happy with this for room a quick stay. read more

Was in town for a funeral and had a coupon was told no more rooms with that coupon that I could have one for 99.00 I told the gentleman on the web page the room was 71.99 and was told I was not right. Left there and went one more exit west to Kimball/ South Pittsburg and went to the Super 8 which honor our coupon and was a clean and pleasant room. Stayed 3 nights and even had their breakfast which was good. Worth the drive one more exit. Do not stay at the Quality which was the Acuff inn at one time. BEWARE SENIOR CITIZENS of this establishment and Choice Hotels. I stayed at the Jasper, TN Quality Inn several weeks ago. I had a new card that wasn't working for some reason so I opted to pay cash. DO NOT DO IT! I was told I would have to pay a $100.00 deposit. No problem. The room cost $109.99. I counted out two stacks of five twenty dollar bills onto the counter. I recounted these twice. I then took another twenty out of my purse and added it to make a total of $220.00 The man said to make it easier he would just give me ten dollars back. He took the money from me, set it on his part of the counter without counting it and gave me the ten dollars change. Then he took part of the stack of twenties and set it on the drawer without counting. Odd. He picked up the remainder and to my surprise counted four twenties and announced I was short a twenty. I explained to him that I had counted two hundred right there several times then took another twenty out of my purse and added it to the others. First he put the first stack of twenties down into the drawer and insisted I was short a twenty and made me stand there while he counted his drawer down to the last penny. He was vague about the result of his count and condescended to "let" me have a room anyway. He still insisted I was short twenty dollars and he was unpleasant about it. I went to my room and called customer service. I spoke with a sleepy and uninterested man who didn't seem to understand what I was upset about and said there was nothing he could really do but file the paperwork and someone would look into it. He suggested I talk to the manager in the morning. I suppose he then went back to sleep. I did talk to the manager who viewed the camera recording and said she couldn't tell much because the young man's back blocked the camera the whole time. However, she could see me counting out money though she couldn't tell for sure how much but certainly did see me pulled the last twenty out of my purse. I felt like the young man was trying to take advantage of a senior citizen who was exhausted and anxious to get settled into a room. I never heard anything back from my complaint so called customer service again and talked to a man named Jim who said I'd hear back on this within 72 hours. Alas it has been nearly two weeks and I have heard nothing. NO explanation, No answer about whether the drawer was short, NO apology. NO response at all. I will never stay at this or any other Choice Property and am warning all my friends that Choice hotels did nothing when it's quite possible one of their employees tried to pull one over on one of their senior citizen customers. I will also be posting warning to the various senior groups I belong to and the numerous seniors I am friends with on Facebook. I will post a warning on the AARP site as well. Do not use cash with these people. But remember, motels and hotels are also the worst places for having your information stolen by hackers! read more
