If I could give 0 stars I would. They're rude. The breakfast is nothing but waffles. The bathtub didn't work. The door wasn't sealed properly. And they had the nerve to say we smoked in the room. They are one of the worst facilities in Stanly County and they will harass you with phone calls. read more

I can't say this is a 1 star!! The Health Department should shut this place down!! Take away their license!! This place is a cesspool of gross! We were going to get here from Alexandria late so I just wanted a cheap place to stay. $65 on Priceline ok. I'll get better hotel. We stepped on roaches on the way to the room. IT was seriously just no words. We pulled back the covers that had stains on them. To find the sheets that had pubic hairs and brown stains on the sheets. We didn't do anything else but quickly get out of there and headed to the Holiday INN. Albamerl doesn't have a lot to choose from for hotels so this should never be on the list. read more

Poor customer service threw out system just stayed there recently. Have multiple problems with website and the customer service people run you in circles and never address the issue. And lie every time. The hotel staff is mostly friendly except for the weird man who works day shift with the blue hair (it changes color) he is a pos and he will try to talk to you like your stupid. He is rude and very creepy. They have roaches and drug activity idk what is worse. Always drama there. But won't let you leave the setting are with your "free" breakfast and very very poor choice lol no pun intended at that. Do not recommend. read more

First clue of how bad this place was gonna be should have been the four cases of empty Corona bottles and boxes dumped in the grass of the parking lot... looked like someone had a hell of a party and just left their empties laying where they dropped. Enter the room- supposed to be non smoking- smoke smell very strong but as my husband and I both smoke, we could handle that but upon inspection there were multiple cigarette burns on the comforter and sofa and even the tub in the bathroom. Mold in upper corners of the shower. I am pretty sure there was a "working girl" servicing the hotel as our first night she was going into a different room than she did on the second night. The second night it just so happened that it was the room next door to ours. That night the man she was visiting and her got into a fight screaming at each other and sounded like he was gonna throw her into our room as he tossed her up against the wall that separated our rooms. Several attempts made to report to front desk with no answer. Called 911 to report and they didn't even come to check out the situation. Never had such a horrible couple of nights in a hotel... run, don't walk, run to any other hotel in this area but this one. read more

This is a motel with rooms on the outside. The rooms had stained sheets and dirty pillows. The duvet had cigarette burns and oil stains. We had to strip the beds and put new sheets on ourselves. The hairdryer was greasy. They won't let you in the welcome area till 630 on the dot so don't bring luggage down earlier. Hospitality was terrible. I would not recommend. read more

Checkin was easy. Staff were friendly. Good location. BUT the nastiest place I've stayed in my 56 years. Bathroom was gross. Body hairball on bathroom floor with other 'stuff'. Toilet visably soiled. Carpet hasn't been vacuumed in quite a while. Fridge, microwave obviously dirty. I'm not even sure the bed linens were changed. No hairdryer in room. The one I received when asked front desk was filthy. Funny thing is we had to pay extra to have our dog. She's cleaner than the room. We have stayed in a ton of pet-friendly hotels that are 4 star or higher, super clean, and well-run. We won't stay here again. read more

Nothing special... It's very basic, but clean and efficient. It could definitely use some renovations, but still it is pretty decent. I dislike the motel-style in which you have to drive to your room after checking in because it has exterior entry. This could annoying if you need to get ice or want to have their continental breakfast or visit the lobby and don't really care to have to go outside to do these things... The manager was very pleasant. I would stay here again. I have definitely "experienced better", but for what it is it's "A-OK".... read more

It has been four years since I last stayed at this Quality Inn. The facility has been renovated since my last stay, and I am very impressed with my room's decor. My king bed was comfortable, as was the sofa. Wifi was free and worked well. Everything was clean. read more

​The young man at the front desk when we arrived at around 9:00 Pm was friendly and pleasant. However, the next morning we needed our hair dryer fixed , the phone was broken( and not working couldn't even call the front desk with it. And we needed all new towels There had been shift change and a​​ new employee working the front desk this morning we notified him about the blow dryer, the telephone, and the need for linens. He said the blow dryer would be fixed once he got a hold of Maintenance they were not in yet, housekeeping would replace the Linens shortly, and most of the telephones were not working because they were upgrading but they didn't bother to tell anybody that so anytime you need anything you have to walk down outside to the front desk . Several hours later .....4 hours to be exact we could tell housekeeping had been to the room they emptied the​ trash cans and took a portion of the dirty linen but left a portion in the room. They did not replace the Linens so we called from our cell phone to the front lobby and he told us that housekeeping was taking a lunch break but that they had already serviced my room yet we had no clean linen. He then told me that I could walk down to the laundry room myself to get clean linen but when I walked out of my room the laundry cart was a couple Doors Down in a door was open. We called out to them, telling ​​​ housekeeping.... when they didn't respond we took four new bath towels to replace what they had taken as we needed to shower and get out to our event. The young man from the front desk then proceeded up to my room knocked on the door giving me great attitude telling me that I stole Linens off of the cart..... it was against policy and that he could kick me out. I told him we had been waiting over 4 hours for clean linen and he told me that house came,​​​ serviced my room.... and I offered for him to come in to see that there were no clean linens. All I needed was some towels. He kept telling me that I had an attitude and that he could kick me out for violating regulations. I told him when I asked for cleanliness at 9:00 in the morning to expect them by 1:00 in the afternoon is not an unreal expectation is we had some place to go and showers to take. He also said it wasn't typical for somebody to take a shower in the evening when they checked in and need to take another shower in the morning say it was an unreal expectation for me to get new towels even though our ones from 12 hours before we're still soaking wet. I don't know how it is any of his concern how much we shower we are at a hotel paying for a service and he did a really poor job of reasonable customers service.​​ was unreasonable and unprofessional. ​ ​ A friend of ours just told us their tires were slashed last night. There are shady characters in the parking lot at all hours of the night and we did not feel safe in the management did nothing about it. ​​ so in closing,​​​​ we would say do not stay here and if you do stay at your own risk! Overall daytime staff is minimal and the front desk person thinks he is helpful and professional but he is anything but .​​​ read more

Reposting my review from TripAdvisor: Booked non-smoking, got a smoking room. I booked for 2 nights but I will only be staying 1. I understand the quality of a smoking room is probably going to be dirtier than a non-smoking room, but there were things that shouldn't have been there no matter what. Clumps of spider webs hanging from the curtains/ corners of the wall. 1/4 of the lights were dead. Shower wouldn't run out of the shower head. Hair in sink when we checked in and pet hair (??) all over the floor. Fire alarm was non existent, just wires dangling from a hole in the wall. Burn holes in the blankets. Towels were stained brown. Bathroom tub was stained brown. And of course the smell of smoke. Now, for a smoker this might be pretty standard but as a non-smoker it was disgusting. I felt so filthy sleeping there and I couldn't even take a proper shower in the morning. I don't even want to know what a non-smoker room looks like if this is their cleanliness standard. read more

I actually checked out early as I did not feel safe at this motel. People in parking lot at all hours of night and early morning. Did not sleep due to the people noise and it is located on a very busy and loud road. There were men who seemed to be hanging out and drinking beer in the back near its dumpster. Front desk people were extremely unprofessional. My smoke detector started beeping for low battery. Their response was that they didn't have any batteries. I had to change rooms. This is the 2nd time my family has stayed in this hotel. Once in May and on October, 21st. It has been a nightmare both times. We booked 4 rooms 4 weeks ago. We booked nonsmoking rooms and we got there they had given us smoking rooms. We told them we had already paid for nonsmoking rooms and we had the email confirmation to prove it. The manager insisted that we had booked smoking rooms and there weren't any other nonsmoking rooms available. After several conversations and asking to speak to the general manager, they switch us to nonsmoking rooms. Then later that evening one of our rooms flooded. We called the front desk with our cell phone because the phones in the rooms did not work. We asked to switch rooms and she said there were no other nonsmoking rooms available. We ask the lady if they could send someone to clean it up and she said no one was there to do that. We asked for towels and if she could bring them to us. She rudely said yes and hung up while I was still talking. She came with the towels and saw how bad the water was and said she would call her manager. The manager said they might have to call an emergency plumber to come and look at it. We will never use this hotel again. read more

We just completed a 3 night stay at this hotel. It was very basic, mostly clean. The person who checked us in was extraordinarily unpleasant to deal with but all other staff were very nice. We did not partake of the free breakfast but it seemed to be what you would expect (bagels, toast, eggs, juice etc). Did not use the wi-fi. The rooms were dated and the bathroom was extremely small...my husband had to stand in the tub to close the door. The air conditioner was very cold, which was nice on the very hot days. I was there for a wedding. The hotel lost our reservation that had been made in March. We had to contact the owner of the hotel to get our room back. The rooms were dirty, and the fire alarm would go off every time you took a shower because there was no exhaust fans in the bathroom so the steam would set it off. Do not stay here. read more

BED BUGS!! I found bed bugs crawling on my pillow!! And the refund policy penalized me for having booked ahead for such a long stay!! While the staff was pleasant, they were unwilling to help because the choice hotels (the larger corporation) policy was only one day of refund no matter what!! Even though they acknowledged it was a health concern since it was independently owned and operated there was nothing they would do!! Also the pool was extremely dirty and the first room with the really bad infestation also had a broken lock so no security! Yes the breakfast was good and the people were nice - but BED BUGS!!! I had bites all over!! And lost two days of my trip moving my stuff from room to car and washing everything in between!! I believe the whole hotel to be infested - if you must stay here don't bring anything into your room!! read more
