Pillows are uncomfortable and the single occupancy room uses two twin beds put together to make a queen size bed. Rooms have a refrigerator with a small mini bar. Breakfast is a buffet with many hot/cold selections to choose from and dinner was great as well. This hotel has no AC. Business center is not so much of a room but guests do have access to a computer, a printer and WiFi free of charge.

Upon arrival the walk from the parking lot to reception was about a tenth of a mile, not bad. You can drive up and drop off bags but obviously you must park in the parking lot. There is no valet, although there isn't valet in most of Norway so don't expect it. We were checked in promptly although the concierge wasn't all that friendly. We inquired about places to eat and the response was "I don't know, I'm not from around here". We settled for Foodora which is Norways Version of Door Dash, that review is on yelp. There were three people in our party and as soon as we got to our room we were less than impressed. A small mini fridge which we never opened. Two twin beds stuffed into a queen frame with two twin comforters. A single roll away bed so low to the ground you almost could not get up, parked right next to the ONLY heating source in the room. This led to it being quite cold as it was 40 degrees this evening and one wall was all windows. The bathroom was very hospital style, a wheel chair ramp to get in, fold down assist bars next to the toilet. There were no complimentary shampoos, conditioner or body wash. The only soap at both the sink and shower were wall mounted hand soap dispensers. A chair at a desk, that was worn and should have been thrown out. The rugs, not carpet were rolled at the edges creating a tripping hazard. All three of us complained of feeling very out of it mentally, like as soon as we walked in something or someone drained us. A poor nights sleep due to temperature and uneasiness led us to cut our stay from two nights to one night. We left the next day to go back to Sweden as we didn't not find the country of Norway to be welcoming or friendly. We definitely did not feel welcomed.

Louis, the concierge at the front desk, has been an amazing ambassador of the Thon Hotel brand. He welcomed us with a great smile and friendly disposition, and immediately placed himself at our service. He provided us with valuable information about transportation, the city, things to do in Oslo, Sandvika, and talked to us about other great cities to experience around all Norway. He has been a well of knowledge. The hotel itself is easy to access. It is only minutes away from the Sandvika Train station by Uber. It is also quite comfortable and clean. With a contemporary design the building stands out close to the Oslo waters. Once inside, the lobby is spacious, bright, and beautifully decorated with a magnificent marble sculpture. There's also a restaurant where the early morning breakfast is served, and what a breakfast. It consists of a magnificent buffet including smoked salmon, smoothies, omelets, bacon, sausage, and eggs in various other forms, fresh fruits, pancakes with different delicious jams, and so much more, all cooked in front of you my a magnificent team of chefs. The wait staff is also great. They keep the restaurant and the tables impeccably clean, and keep the coffee flowing. Again, their level of service was impeccable. If I could give the hotel staff 10 stars I would. They made our stay not just comfortable, but magnificent!

Room: Comfortable and sleek, like most Thon hotels in the area. Nothing really stands out, except that there were wifi issues in our room. Staff: Didn't interact with them very much, but no complaints. Breakfast: Meh. Just ok. Have had better tasting food at other hotels. Selection was ok, but had run out of some items. Dishes were not bussed very quickly. We ended up stacking our plates. Bottom Line: Wouldn't mind returning to the area because its a charming place for a walk, but may compare with other hotels in the area.
