With that, three minutes after his arrival, my door was fixed and working again. But instead of just leaving, since he was already there and had to charge me for the callout, he also adjusted the height and chain, lubricated it, and also pointed out some future potential problems I should be on the look out for. The person who took my call was very courteous and helpful, and, as I said, response time was phenomenal. Mike was excellent, and I appreciated his work, ethic, and personability. The young man was clearly over his head as it took him the better part of two hours to complete the work; he spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone getting assistance. In the process he damaged the rail, bending it with pliers so the door would travel the entire distance; however it was very noisy. Garage Door Bill ~$950.00. I immediately called Action Doors, Calgary to repair the damage. The service technician from Action appeared within an hour. He removed the four springs and replaced with two new springs designed for the Action Door. The garage door was now functioning smoothly. Bill: $372.00. I tracked down one of the owners of the company about my concerns. He was very argumentative and threatening.
