I was so excited when this fish and meat shop opened up in Clarkesville. Unfortunately, I've had…read moretoo many disappointing experiences to go back again. The owner needs to learn how to communicate in a kinder way. A few visits I found the owner to be a bit testy. I asked if he could order 2 lbs. of stone crab claws for me and he said yes and would call me when they came in. The price was like $35 lb. When he called I came in and he had 3 lbs. I said I only wanted two and he said "What am I going to do with the remaining pound?" As if it is my problem. I was NOT wanting to spend $100 on stone crab. Then, they didn't keep fresh for more than a day. DAMN. I bought raw whipping cream and it wouldn't whip (there was too much milk in it) and I spent $12 or so dollars for a pint. Another disappointment. The last visit was a couple months ago. I bought a piece of grouper (with the skin on....which is adding weight and you don't eat the skin) and a smoked mahi fish dip that was HARD pieces of fish. NO MORE! I'd rather drive to Gainesville to buy fresh fish than constantly be over charged and disappointed.
