Never been to this shop, but found it by Google search and figured I'd support a small business. Older gentleman was the only one in the shop - he took my watch and said he'd take a look. He opened up the watch and said the battery was "like new". I said, "Well thanks, I don't want to waste your time." He says, "Well, I've already got this all opened up." (!) I wait a few more minutes for him to tell me more, or return my watch. Nothing. After about 15 minutes of waiting, he finally exclaims from his workbench, "You may have to leave this here a while - I've never opened one of these up before and [nothing's going back together like it should]." I left my name and phone number and asked him to call me when it was ready to pick up. This was on Friday at lunchtime. No call comes the rest of the day, or the next day. Closed on Sunday, still no call Monday. Finally, after work Monday I go by to pick up the watch. He hands me the watch and says nothing. I say, "Did you end up putting a new battery in?" He says, "That one's like new." (So, no.) I say, "Do I owe you anything?" He says, "Well, I gotta charge you $12 for taking that thing apart and putting it back together." Here's the thing, I'm all about supporting the little guy and honoring their time. But what about my time? Dude took my watch apart without knowing he could put it back together, then never called to say it was done, kept it for three days, and didn't actually DO anything. If it was my shop, I might say, "Hey, I'm not gonna charge you today because I kept it for so long and didn't actually do any repair on it. Have a nice day. Come see me when the watch actually stops and we'll get it fixed up." Instead, the guy got his $12, but I'll never go back there again.

I had to call multiple times the morning of my move after multiple confirmations prior. They told me they had no move prior to me that day and showed up with a rented truck and very few pads to wrap my furniture, which were requested in advance multiple times prior to my move. The owner was the only effective mover. He brought two others workers and I literally ran circles around one of them, as he put his monster energy drink on my antique furniture multiple times. It was very frustrating to watch the crew move my items, bumping into walls, set drinks on my furniture and not wrap my furniture, as requested prior to moving items. I had much better success with the big companies that are local movers. The prices were also better with other moving companies. When they went to close out my transaction at the end of my move, they forgot about my $100 initial deposit as well as miscommunicated the dollar amount giving me multiple prices. I will not use this company again and was not pleased with my experience.

I'd been to several local jewelry stores and found a few styles I liked but wasn't ready to commit. Finally I decided on the Memoire infinity band- even though I'd never tried it on I knew it was the ring for me! In choosing between the local jewelry store and Pearlman's the decision was made easy by the local store not returning my calls and not having the ring on hand they said they would when I arrived. Geoff handled my requests for information swiftly, respectfully, and without pressure. He genuinely seemed to want me to be happy with my ring! The ring took longer than I'd like because Memoire had to make it custom for me but Geoff made sure to keep me updated on its status throughout the process. I'd highly recommend Pearlman's and fully intend to return with my business in the future when/if I upgrade.

I have a rather large amount of jewelry to sell but not familiar with prices. I called Pearlman's two months ago and talked with an employee named John, who advised that I could bring as many pieces that I chose, and he would tell me what they might be worth. I called this date and he wants to charge for each piece with just a verbal quote, nothing in writing! He talked over me the entire time about his past, which is irrelevant at this time. If he functions like this, I would surely beware of doing any business with them.
