We also looked at options for materials and colors and what would stand up best to my family. I appreciated that she left me with everything I needed (bag of many decking samples, information for railing and lighting packages). The quote was also the easiest and most straight forward. They're pretty busy with everyone wanting home improvements due to COVID and more time at home. My deck project was completed a good 2 months before I was expecting it. They are worth the wait (booked 2-3 months out) Long version: We had water damage in our kitchen. We needed the damaged floor replaced and the rest of the first floor sanded and stained to match. No easy task since our floor was 17 years old. After they sanded, stained, and sealed the floor, we realized that the original builder (17 years ago) put a 2 foot by 10 foot strip of pink looking red oak in the middle of the white oak floorboards in the living room. This was imposible to see because of the tinted stain that was put on the floor to cover up the fact that the wood didn't match. Jon, our sales guy, came out on a Saturday to talk it over with us. They worked with us to squeeze us into their schedule despite being booked 3 months out. He even came and tore out the red oak himself since all of the other workers were tied up. They took out the red oak and put new white oak back in and now you can't tell at all. Honestly, I thought we were screwed. We did have to pay for them to come back to do it since it wasn't their screw up.

We chose Qual Line to build a cedar fence around our back yard this summer, and we could not be happier with our choice. Mark was excellent to work with, friendly and responsive, answering all our questions and helping us figure out a design that met our needs. He listened to our ideas, explained the various design options, and offered suggestions to help tweak the details to what we wanted. (This really distinguished Qual Line from other companies, which offered little to no customization.) Jeff, the fence builder, was also great: skillful, careful, and communicative about the process and any questions along the way. Preserving trees was a high priority for us, and Jeff took great care to locate posts without damaging tree roots, as well as incorporating one tree into the fence line in an elegant way. He did a fantastic job. Qual Line's quote was higher than others (though not hugely so). They were worth the difference, both for the quality and beauty of their finished product, and for the hassle-free, good experience of working with them. We would not hesitate to recommend them. Simply the best! I am so pleased with my beautiful Western Red Cedar privacy fence built by QualLine. The job was so well done by wonderful people (Jeff and Nate were my installers and they even worked in the rain). Mark was in touch with me from the very beginning through the very end. He first came to my home to look at what needed to be done in March, so we trudged through a few inches of snow. He kept me informed as to when the install was to take place, helped mitigate any potential issues and informed me of progress while the install was being done (May 23 and 24). He even came by to look at the finished fence. It was so refreshing to work with a contractor who communicated so well and put so much time and effort into getting the job done right and as promised. Working with Qual Line was an awesome experience. I felt valued from the 1st meeting through the install. I was nervous about having the old fence taken down and new installed for a few reasons, but but Mark and Jeff put those to rest. They both were very patient and professional, and even dealt with the neighbor who asked them to go out of their way. Mark was easy to work with, he answered all my questions and emails very quickly and gave knowledgeable suggestions. Jeff was an incredible hardworking installer. The weather was if-y but he worked through it and the fence was completely done in days. They both have an awesome work ethic! Our original fence was destroyed by a wind storm and when we checked several business and their prices we decided on Qual Line Fence and have never looked back. The office staff worked so well with us and the color that we thought we liked was not the color we ended up ordered. We took some samples home and looked at them at different times of the day to really see what they will look like. The delivery date was on time and without troubles. They removed the old fence and did a tremendous job at installing the new fence. We have had many nice comments from the neighbors and we talk up Qual Line, their staff, product and professionalism to anyone who asked where we got the fence. We researched several fence companies before choosing Qualine. Qualine has great service and communicates better than all the others. They were the only company that met with us soon after we called, gave us an estimate within days (not weeks), and thoroughly answered all of questions. In the construction phase, their schedule opened up and they did the actual construction one month ahead of schedule. A day before construction they met with us to discuss the project and go over the details. We went with a centerboard style fence with newport wood caps and a gate. I got a rescue dog and needed to get my back yard fenced in. My experience with Qual Line Fence was great! They promptly returned my initial phone call (one of their competitors never called me back). Ballpark estimate was very close to actual estimate once yard was measured. They suggested a change in layout which actually saved me $$ by avoiding having to dig holes by hand (which cost more). Sue was excellent to work with, and Todd is such a nice guy and a really hard worker. Only took him a little over two days to complete the project on a rather large back yard. I was moving to Madison from Chicago and needed a fence for the safety of my puppies. To be honest Qual line was not the lowest price of my estimates but the extra dollars were so much worth it! The fast response times was only the start. Mark from Qual line had a temp fence up the day before I closed on my new home. Our experience with Qual Line was great. We had a 4' fence installed in November 2016 and haven't had been able to enjoy the benefits much, until now. The fence looks great, and didn't seem to be affected by the snow this past winter. The process was simple, and the staff was very professional. I would not recommend American Fence to anyone. They had terrible communication and told us we were…read moregoing to have the fence attached with screws then used nails. We got quotes for a 5ft cedar fence with inch gaps from 4 fence places, and asked all of them if they used metal posts and screwed boards on, so we'd get a great fence that lasts. Jim said they did (or we would have skipped him) and had a lower price than the other fence places that used metal posts and screws. We put down a deposit and don't hear anything for 2 months. Texts and emails took up to a week to get responses through the process. Then Jim showed up out of the blue to ask if they could start building tomorrow (we were waiting on a survey report, so no) So he said he'd come back next week. Next week, got a text at 7:20am that they'd be there in 10 minutes (luckily I woke up early that day!) The crew was great though, and finished the fence in 2 days, however used nails because they claimed screws would take too long and cost too much. I went out and added 2 screws per board in a couple hours for about $50. While doing this, I found about 10 boards that were missing at least one nail. I also found a large number of boards with nails that were overdriven, some driven straight through the board and not attaching them at all. One board had both bottom nails overdriven, so our dog could have pushed his way out. My dad (carpenter for 30 years) said it was pretty shoddy work and agreed with adding screws to actually secure it. I took down their sign on the fence so anyone has to ask me who did it and I can warn them. Overall, find somewhere else. Neighbors have said it looks really nice (and it does!) but I've warned them all to avoid American. Even if you have to pay a bit more, get a fence that will actually last from someone else.

Nice Fence company…read more DeSelle installed a wooden fence around my back yard for pool safety. After 4 years the back fence started to gap away from the ground in a very wet area. Not sure if the fence rose or the ground sank? I let them know about it and Mark was out in a week to look at it. His team banged the posts back down to their original height. They also went around the fence and found some broken boards which they replaced. He also fixed the doors which had also moved a bit. Overall they stood by their product and provided exceptional service.
