They need to clean the place. And their continental breakfast was boxes of donuts and a tray of bread. Bathroom was disgusting

Thank you Sir! Lobby area had lots of board games, fun stuff, movies, and more for guests to enjoy. Inside has really nice space to sit and relax. There is a small desk with one computer for guest use. This relaxing lakeside resort has multiple buildings. There are stairs and elevators. Free self-parking available. Amenities include seasonal outdoor pool & children's pool, year-round hot tubs, community BBQ area, fitness center, arcade/game room, basketball court, and children's play area. Our two bedroom unit was quite spacious, very clean, and cozy. It allows a maximum of 6 guests. My eldest daughter and I didn't need the extra space, but we appreciate having our own room which was nice. Living room has a pull down murphy bed if you prefer to sleep in an open space. Kitchen was fully equipped with the essential kitchenware and liquid detergents. Bathroom conveniently had complimentary shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Washer and dryer plus laundry powder detergent were in the unit which is a big plus in my book. Fireplace was present, but wasn't used. Small patio with table and chairs for relaxing and viewing of the beautiful lake. This may be our one and only visit at this resort since we don't live nearby. We added this stay as part of our Historic Route 66 road trip while in MO. I am grateful I got a chance to stay here. One more WM resort checked off my WM resort adventures list. Thank you for the warm and welcoming hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone who loves vacationing at the lake. Enjoy your WM stay!

But my kiddos needed something NORMAL before school started up. We couldn't POSSIBLY cancel our annual summer vacation! This trip we stayed in Lakewood Resort's newest unit, just above the office. Wowza. Jacuzzi, in-unit laundry and a super secluded view of their alcove of the lake. A very nice spot. Our favorite unit. Coming from a college town where tons of protocols are done, a couple things rubbed me the wrong way. But ultimately, I felt safe. If you have kiddos who love outdoor swimming pools, this is the resort to stay at! My four year old has a phobia of not seeing his feet in the lake water. He will choose the 'blue water' over the 'brown water' any day of the week. This pool boasts a lake view. You also have the pool to yourself almost all day everyday since a majority of the folks that stay here go out on the lake each day. Talk about a great socially distanced week full of swimming and family! This was our third stay at this resort. The staff is friendly. The property is well maintained. The location is convenient and near a lot of great spots. There's internet in each unit. There's a lot to enjoy at Lakewood Resort.

A wasp on our balcony ruined our vacation. My mother wanted the balcony we saw in the online info…read more What we got was a tiny balcony with a wasp that was determined to get into our room. The hotel sent up maintenance with a can of something and he sprayed the door. After he left the wasp came back. They moved us to another room. This balcony also had a wasp. The walls of the room are shockingly thin. There are a lot of children at tbe hotel and next door to us was a little boy, maybe 5, with his parents. They were very loud. We heard sounds, screams we should never hear in a $350+ room. Also there's problems with the air conditioning. It turns on or off and u can keep it at 67 degrees for the air or it switches to heat! The TV doesn't change channels and the volume is preset.

Essentially both…read moreparking garages were full outside parking was full, and they wanted to wish me luck in my truck to find parking of which they had no suggestions. By the grace of God, I found a spot and luggage all of my luggage up the hill by myself sweating all the way. Arrived in the lobby to be greeted with no air air-conditioning and a 45 minute wait in the lobby to check in. I have waited in more enjoyable lines in Disney and Silver Dollar City. The only positive part was getting to know other people in line as we all remarked at what a disaster the situation was. It was a bit of a trauma bond situation as we exchanged parking trauma, as well as our current predicament, waiting forever to get to the front of the check-in line. I finally got to the front of the line only to be told that my credit card on file could not be charged and I needed another credit card in order to get my room key. Deep breath. I really needed a change in latitude and a change in attitude right about then as well as a stiff margarita. I was advised by the front door clerk that a gentleman was going to take me to my room after the check-in process. This was a bit misleading because all the check-in clerk did was hand me off to another rep for Margaritaville that simply drew on a map instructions on how to get to my room. There are many buildings and very odd ways of getting places that are quite confusing. They had moved our welcome reception to the JB deck, which was a bit difficult to get to, but I was able to run into a very helpful employee that took pity on me as I loved my luggage even further to another destination. I was told the next morning the coffee line was an hour long and people didn't know which was worse their wait for the coffee in the morning or their weight in the lobby the day before with no air-conditioning. The rooms were quite nice. I did like the large beds and the living room. The convention food was also well done as well as the amenities, including the shopping in the bowling on property. Adding stuff would have alleviated many of the issues that I experienced at this property and I am positive that they would be able to turn around most of their issues by just hiring more employees.
