Cozy is really the best way to describe it, but it's not cramped at all. We sat up at the bar and met Vince, the owner/bartender, and over the course of about 2 hours we kabitzed with Vince and simply chatted about France in general, soccer (there was a screen behind the bar showing a soccer match), American football, music, you name it. Vince has got an interesting collection of Star Wars items sprinkled around here and there, and simply created a nice place for people to just come in, imbibe, and sit to chat with friends. This was a memorable spot on our 10-day tour of France, and we loved it here so much that we'll go out of our way to go back for a visit next time we're in the French Riviera.

For 5 euro on a Monday night (keep in mind this was 5+ years ago, so I'm sure the cost has skyrocketed), enjoy ladies night! All you can drink wine -- "je voudrais un verre de vin rouge (ou blanc)" was the first French phrase the non French speakers learned. And probably remembered. Haha. This is an Irish pub, so it's definitely a great option for tourists that are vacationing and do not speak an ounce of French. We rolled in and asked the Bar Manager (A good Irish lad) if we could watch some NFL football, he gladly obliged us and we got to watch the Redskins whip up on the Eagles. Not too bad. We were seated upstairs, came back down to order, and before we could even speak, the bartender announced they were "closing." It quickly became clear that the bar wasn't actually closing at all -- the other guests were still being served and having a great time. The only difference? We were Americans. We were told point-blank that the bar was closing "for us," while the rest of the patrons stayed comfortably seated. The staff directed only us to leave, without explanation beyond that. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and humiliating experience -- not something anyone expects to encounter in 2025, especially in a city known for its international visitors. If you're an American traveler, I'd strongly suggest spending your time and money somewhere that values hospitality and basic respect for all guests. There are plenty of wonderful places in Cannes that welcome people from around the world. Sadly, this is not one of them.
