Located right on Quai street, near multiple delicious dining spots in the Vieux Port (old port) of Cannes, the views across the street were DYNAMITE, especially at night with the reflections of the boat lights on the water. This was definitely a good option if you're feeling homesick or want to watch some sports, as I remember they had large screens, mostly showing football games. All wooden panelling with a definite Irish feel, all of the bartenders are extremely friendly and spoke English, which was nice. Quay's is VERY laid back and one of my favorite bar options in France. Not like a lot of the clubs you typically find in Cannes, or the South of France in general.

Average Guinness and a barman who wasn't rude but also wasn't interested in chatting with us in the least...which was awkward, since we were the only patrons in the bar and tried to engage him in conversation a couple of times. Midway through our drinks, the owner or manager showed up and changed the television channel on the screen we were clearly watching. Whether this was intentional or not, he was a little creepy, and the whole situation made us feel completely unwelcome. If you're looking for more of a "night out" to meet other people or socialize in large groups, this venue is probably a good bet on a crowded weekend night.

Impressive allegiance to showing football matches, with the entire international, Champions and Premier League viewing schedule mapped out for the month, available in paper form on top of the bar. Average pints of Guinness, didn't try the food. More like hanging out in your parents' kitchen or living room than chatting at a pub -- but I think there's a charm to that.
