A few months ago I had to get a blood test done. I had never had one before so I was a little…read morenervous and didn't know what to expect. My experience started off badly and got even worse; when I went in there was no one in sight so I stood around awkwardly for a few minutes until the young woman working came out, barely greeted me and certainly didn't smile before beckoning me into the tiny blood taking room (I don't think that's the clinical term). Once in the blood taking room, she told me to sit down. There were two options; one chair looking very similar to the one Barty Crouch of Harry Potter fame was chained to while on trial for being a terrifyingly closed minded, and one that looked like a normal, welcoming chair which had a ray of sunshine landing on it's plush cushioned seat. I chose the latter but that was wrong and so I moved to the scary death eater chair. The girl handed me the ball to squeeze with all my might and jabbed the needle into me. My problem with this place was not the pain or the uncomfortable fact that I was having blood drained from my body, but the 'bedside manner'. I was even more vexed when I received my results only to discover I actually hadn't been tested for what I was supposed to have been, so I would require another test. I know this part was the doctor's fault for including the wrong information on my subscription, but I had double checked with the nurse and she confirmed. I must give credit where credit is due, and the actual blood taking was very smooth and quite pain free. However, I vowed that I would not return to that place, and went somewhere else for my next test.
