They're not…read morethe type of thing that get written reviews very often, but sometimes it's the type of thing you need to know about. My doctor asked me to get my blood tested around 8am, so I headed to the QML in Nundah around then. It was nice and quiet, I was the only person in there, I was in and out within 15 minutes. Yes, yes. This is how it should be - but is it really like that often? Usually I have to wait among screaming kids and too noisy daytime television shows. But it was peaceful, fast, and the lady who took my blood was pretty friendly (look not as good as the lady I had at Chermside QML but she was exceptional). This QML is also in the same complex as Nundah Medical Centre. Also an orthodontist if that's what you need. It opens at 6am weekdays and is also open Saturdays. Oh, and before I forget to mention - the needle was great. Well, as great as a needle can be. Hardly felt a thing. I always fear the needle coming out. There's this weird feeling that makes me nauseous when a needle comes out. But none of that this time! Didn't feel a thing! Well done, Nundah QML. Well done indeed.

Before the SmartClinics chain bought our local medical centre, it was ok. Nothing special, just ok…read more I mostly used it for convenience as it's very close to home. Though there are many places where for the money they charge I could get a similar or better level of health care with less waiting. After Smart Clinics bought our doctors, prices increased, nothing else improved, but gosh...... the pushy marketing tactics I have to endure are beyond acceptable. The new owners won't stop sending their marketing and advertising messages. All attempts to unsubscribe and take myself out of their hard-sell list failed. They disguise their campaign as caring reminders and just keep pushing it. It didn't stop even after I left the place and told them to stop exploiting my personal information that I gave them exclusively for the purposes of getting medical help. The administration of the local centre keeps apologising for the inconvenience, yet nothing changes. Perhaps, there is nothing they can do if someone at the top of the chain wants to run health care like car sales business and takes confidential information as an asset for generating more profits.

Well, I've been here twice now. It's only gotten above one star because of my most recent visit…read more First visit was with immense back pain; I could barely walk. Doctor just tells me to take a panadol. Ugh. I could have saved myself $70 and the hassle of getting there when I can hardly move. This visit was with a rather nasty cough. It sounds like nothing, but i've never had one like this before. Different doctor, this one seemed okay, and I reckon he actually got it right. Unlike my regular GP where I never wait past my appointment time, this is the typical doctor; never on time. Still, open until 11pm, if you need a late night doctor visit but don't want to clog up the hospital emergency ward, this is one of your few options.

Strongly not recommended - serious concerns about licensing, safety and workmanship…read more Our builder engaged Asbestos Watch to remove friable asbestos, which under Queensland law requires a Class A licence. They provided a quotation for this work but, upon later verification, did not appear to hold an active Class A licence at the time. Documentation lodged with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (QWHS)--specifically Form 65--identified only non-friable asbestos and listed a Class B licence, despite the work involving friable material. The removal work was subsequently found to be inadequate, leading to further contamination of the property. This finding has been confirmed by an independent asbestos assessor's report. Following these issues, Asbestos Watch provided a clearance certificate that contained no verifiable licence details or assessor qualifications. The entity named on the certificate could not be confirmed, raising doubts about the document's validity. As a result, builders, subcontractors and our own team attended a site that had not been adequately cleared of asbestos, creating a potential risk of exposure to friable asbestos fibres. This situation raised serious health and safety concerns and, in our view, reflected a failure to exercise proper care and compliance. We understand that QWHS has issued an enforcement notice to address these issues, which, at the time of writing, has not been actioned. The cost to undertake proper remediation is now estimated to be more than double the original quote. Based on our experience, we have serious concerns about the company's competence, transparency and compliance. I would strongly advise others to reconsider engaging this business.

You don't want to come here…read more Really, you don't. It means there is, or may be, something wrong. But if you HAVE to get an X-ray, CT scan, or some such, it's not a bad place. It's my closest such facility, which is why I come here, but really, they're not bad. I believe you don't need a booking for x-rays, but everything else you do. I called up for a CT scan at around 9:30, and was able to get in at 11:30, so this was good. On arriving, there was only one visible staff member who appeared to be transcribing, and wasn't serving the front desk. It took a few minutes for someone to appear, during which time the queue steadily grew. I found some front of house staff to be incredibly friendly, others incredibly terse, but they got the job done. I was bulk billed, not all services are, but they will also do your Medicare refund right there for you, which is a bonus. They were running a bit behind, but I had nowhere else to be so I wasn't concerned. My radiologist was incredibly lovely. I couldn't have asked for a nicer young lady to stab me with needles, strap me down, and put me inside a giant magnet. There was really nothing about my visit that made me not want to come back here again if I need the services, but then it's also not the kind of place I want to be visiting again any time soon. (And yes, I'm fine.)
