Summit was already at the top of our list because we knew they were reliable and they came in with a very reasonable quote. I grew up with two family members who worked in paint manufacturing and sales, so I know a little bit about paint. We got our quote in the Spring but we decided to have the house painted during our Summer vacation. Summit was the only paint company that changed the paint brand based on the season. They actually knew a lot about how the different brands and grades cured and which paint would be best for an Oregon Spring vs. Summer. They also never tried to sell me on crappy contractor grade paint, which I appreciated. The one thing I was nervous about was that I needed a fair bit of siding work done (Hardy Plank isn't the easiest siding to work with) and a pretty much all the wood trim needed to be replaced. I entrusted Summit to make the final call on what siding to replace while I was on vacation. Their carpenter did an absolutely fantastic job, putting the original work to shame. I got regular pictures and updates on the work. And frankly the price was more than fair for all the work that was done. Overall I can't say enough good things about Summit. Over the years I've found them to be very reliable and the quality of the painting and carpentry work was superb. It's been on the house for more than a year now and it looks fantastic. I also can't say enough things about the Miller Evolution paint they recommended. I really didn't cost that much more and it looks great on the house.

They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid.

Home Depot had left the washer and dryer in our living room and we needed a solution ASAP. Ever reached out to me around 9am and by 12pm I had two people here setting up my washer and dryer. They were so quick to get here, were incredibly kind and explained everything to me. (The washer and dryer would stick out, we knew this ahead of time but didn't want to settle for a tiny washer and dryer). It meant a lot that before installing, they double checked I was okay with it. They did a wonderful job and we've had no issues at all with our appliances since they installed. Pricing was very reasonable, again this was a HARD job! I was amazed that they were able to get this done and did such a great job. I would recommend to anyone! A very nice team of people, it was so refreshing to have such nice guys help us out after a crazy moving process.

First the good - The main painter on the job (Lucio) was a conscientious and hard worker. He…read moreclearly cared about his work and did a good job. (Thank you Lucio). The main problem - Our house has cedar shingles. The rear of the house is painted, the front is stained - and we wanted to keep the staining at the front. We pointed out to their estimator that some of the stained shingles has caulking marks on them - he told us the stain would cover the marks. He was wrong, but we didn't find that out until they'd finished painting the rear of the house. The team did their best to cover the caulking marks with touch up marker - they look ok from the street, but are very obvious close-up. Had the estimator told us that the stain wouldn't cover these marks, we would have had the whole house painted a single color - but in a different color than we chose for just the rear. There were also some smaller problems - - The quote stated that a porta-potty would be provided - it wasn't. Presumably the quoted price included this. - The quote stated that plants would be covered to protect from spraying - the rhododendron bushes in front of my house now have paint-spattered leaves, and look like they might not survive. - Some of the painters who helped out for just small part of the job weren't very careful - two of my path lights were broken (which they tried to hide by balancing the broken lights on their stands), and someone ripped most of the branches off one rhododendron bush instead of tying them back. - A petrol stain was left on our front path where they refueled their pressure washer. I pointed out these issues to the project manager. I'm very disappointed that no-one from the iTech office has contacted me to apologize, and I can only assume that they don't really care. Therefore I would not recommend them.
