Wow, listen to my story! In April of last year I found out I was in Stage 3 Heart Failure, I ended…read moreup in the hospital 3 times last year, all three times I was in for at least a week. In September I was in for 10 days. So when I got home I was having a problem walking, I thought my legs got weak. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy with absolutely NO improvement! I wasn't able to stand for more than 10 minutes, or walk, with burning in my calves. I could not work, food shop, anything. I had been riding a stationary bike for 30 minutes twice a day and that went down to 3 minutes twice a day. My legs went numb. My heart doc had me get a spine CT, and they said it is most likely caused by my back. I had a motorcycle accident back in 2006, I didn't even take that into consideration, and totally forgot all about it. My doc wanted me to have a test, that I saw my dad had about 5 years ago. After seeing him scream while this test was done I asked if I could go to a Chiropractor first to see if maybe they can help. I chose The Village Chiropractor because it was close to my work and my insurance covered it! Dr. Kelly Delorey sent me for another x-ray and I returned the next day. After her evaluation of my CT and x-ray, she told me one leg was almost 3/4 inch shorter than the other. My spines a mess, from the impact of the car on my spine (whiplash). She started to adjust me and Today is the end of my second week, after my appointment this morning I was able to walk around the track one lap. I am seriously 50% better than two weeks ago. I cant wait to be 100% and that will be soon! Everyone in this office is kind and willing to help. I had a torn meniscus and went to PT before and then for several months after surgery. Kevin is so easy to work with - pleasant, knowledgeable, hands on, happy to explain as much as you want to know, and confident about his recommendations. He sees a wide range of people from young kids to older adults, and he seems to have a good time interacting with all of them (ie, he has a great bedside manner). It is also very easy to schedule or change appointments. You simply call and get a live, helpful person who quickly finds you an appointment (shocking!). The whole experience was excellent, and I have since referred two friends to Kevin who have also become fans. This was my first experience with PT, but my friends have seen several therapists over the years and think Kevin is the best of them.
