I don't recall my order being presented almost as a to-go order when I visited before so receiving a plate with plastic fork/spoon, wrapped food, and styrofoam containers isn't very appetizing. All of this is a far cry from the presentation shown in their newspaper write-up. So, ok...I'll deal with the off putting presentation...what about the star of the show...brisket? The brisket served to me was the most unappetizing, dry, and lukewarm excuse for brisket that I've had in a long time. It was terrible. It reminded me of the old Rodney Daingerfield joke about eating beef where he could see where the jockey was hitting it. The turkey was lukewarm but tasted good. The sides were ok but should never overshadow the main...and yet, they did. I bought a plate that cost over $20 and got it in styrofoam, with bad brisket, and a "we could care less" attitude from staff. It's my last trip to Urban Smoke.

I went to the restaurant week food truck event in downtown just to try the DUK Truck. I ordered the Asian steamed buns of course. It came with a salad too as a special. I have to tell you these buns are NO JOKE. The buns were super soft, the meat was melt in your mouth tender mixed with unexpected greens and other ingredients. It was heavenly! The salad was not your everyday salad. It was high class, very well made with goat cheese, pear, etc. I can't say enough good things about the DUK Truck. For the Asian steamed buns alone, it is a five star food truck hands down! I might have to start stalking them to satisfy my cravings. As soon as the tour was over we walked back to the corner of W. Crockett and N. Presa to give them a try. Our tour guide was right, these are the best hotdogs in San Antonio. Bacon wrapped with a multitude of options for toppings, paired with a toasted bun, we literally sacrificed our keto diet on these. 100% recommend. We had two of the bacon wrapped with ketchup and mustard, and shared an everything (ketchup, mustard, mayo, and jalapeños). I can't decide which is better so you will need to give them both a try as well. Great location. Nice easy walk from the Alamo, and they are open late to give you the snack you need while doing a historic tour or of the city or spending a night out on the Riverwalk. I also have to give the guys working the stand a compliment, they were fast regardless of the line, and happy to be giving the customers a great experience. Bottom line, this hotdog stand is unlike any other I've been to (and I'm from the New York area - hot dog stand capital of the world). Go give them a try!

I don't think the person with the 1 star review knows what pastor is supposed to taste like cuz this was good, flavorful pastor!! The second time we visited, we had a chicken quesadilla and the family 15 taco special! It came with 15 meat full tacos of your choice of meat with all the fixings on the side (cilantro, cebolla, lime and salsa) in a pizza shaped box and 3 sides of arros and 3 sides of frijoles. They are not stingy with the amount of meat they put in each taco. Definitely worth the price! Would definitely recommend this place! They were out of salt packets and the cashier was very nice and bought us a container full of salt to our car. Can't wait to go back to San Antonio and visit Quesamia again!
