I come here to get shalac nail polish here! Very good prices. However I would not get long gel or acrylic nails done. I have tried both and my nails broke within days (keep in mind that I like them super long) Maybe if you get shorter tips you might be okay. They always take walk ins and lots of parking! I would give zero stars if I could. I called and made an appointment for a pedicure. Arrived 5 minutes early and didn't get in for over half hour. Then I sat for half an hour in water. When it was clear I wasn't receiving service soon, I asked for a towel and got ready to go. They apologized but clearly have zero consideration for their customers' time. I left about an hour ago for a new set of acrylic nails. First, they're too short (not a surprise) and I told the gentleman doing my nails that I wanted them more of a narrow stiletto shape, they're rounded into a point, honestly I feel like I have eggs on my fingers. I can't believe it was $63, acrylic nails were $45 colour not included, so why was painting my nails $18? That's outrageous. Honestly I'm mad at myself that I even paid this place for these terrible nails. I'm going to go somewhere else and get them removed and redone. Terrible work. I tried to ignore all of the terrible reviews on here and tried to place out for myself. I went in for a shellac polish change, and they started with removing my polish using a Dremel. I could feel the heat from the machine. All the tools they used, including the files, Were filthy. I think they ended up with more shellac polish on my skin than on my finger nails. She filed the corners of my nails after every shellac application so she could break the skin away from the polish. My fingertips hurt so much right now, She used actual gel as top coat, which is not what I asked for. I am very strict on only using shellac polish but she didn't listen to me. Overall, I'm very unimpressed and I will never go back. read more

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO... I decided to treat myself for my stagette party by having a mani and a pedi done from Q nails. The pedicure was done very well and I do feel like it was a job well done. The shellac nails however, were completely botched. The colour is not even close to the one I picked out, they are blotchy and the outside rim is a different colour completely. It looks like my nails are full of dirt. I went back in to express my dissatisfaction and the owners proceed to tell me that I choose a colour changing shellac. When I showed them the colour I chose and the one that they used, it was NOT a colour changing polish. When I asked to have them re-done, I was told I would have to pay the $50 again, which if you ask me is a bit steep, as it was my fault for choosing that colour and that I "must have put chemicals all over my nails to have caused them change like that". ? I wish I had read the reviews on this place before I went as I seem to not be only one that received terrible service. read more

Had a pedicure done last year. Was the roughest I've ever had and left with painful big toenail. Thought it was just me being sensitive because I'm not a big fan of pedis. Figured soreness would eventually go away. It has not. Once shellac was removed I was able to see dark bruise-like line in middle of the toenail. After a couple months, toenail started to curve and become even more painful, and the line was still present. Saw 2 podiatrists who said it would never heal, and 1 of them said they would have to remove entire toenail and kill the root to relieve pain. That means no toenail ever, it will not grow back. STAY AWAY!!!! I've been getting my nails and feet done for over ten years and this has by far been the worse. I'll start with the pedicures, while you are getting one they will ask if you want to upgrade to a spa for $10... I asked what was different and she said extra massage, I thought I'd treat my self so I said yes. There was no " extra " massage and the pedicure was mediocre at best. When I got to the till to pay it turns out the spa pedicure was actually an extra $20.00. I then got a nail fill, I asked for just a gel over lay, I picked out a color I liked and she kept saying " no pick another color, that's not a nice color" I was getting kind of bothered ... They did the nails, I paid and left. TWO days after I had my nails done they started chipping off. They didn't fill in my nails good enough and didn't bond them so any new work I had done just fell off. All that's left is the nail that I had done weeks before. I will NEVER go back. I went to q nails because I was having a bad day and it's super close to my house. I called before hand to ensure that they had time to see me before I made the .02km journey. I was greeted instantly when I walked in the door, and escorted to the pedicure chair. The lady who was assigned to me didn't speak very good English and a co-worker needed to translate for her, but wow was she amazing!! This woman scrubbed and pampered my calves and feet like it was no ones business! 45 minutes of pure bliss!! The massage chair was so intense it knocked my diet Pepsi off the arm rest! My spa lady cleaned up the mess no problem and got right back to working on me!! Loved every moment. A second lady painted my toes, a beautiful shade of blue-my only issue w q nails is so small and so trivial but meant so much to me.... The lady painting my toes couldn't draw flowers on my nails. I know, I know whaaaaaaa, but in her defences it was 8:15 and they did close at 8... Soooo no big deal really. Going back today to have my flowers drawn and to have a manicure!! Definitely recommend q nails and will be going back myself for my nail and toe needs!! UPDATE: had flowers put on my toes and had my FIRST shellac French tip manicure!! Love love love it!! My manicure also took quite long and ended up being done around twenty minutes after closing, but they never complained and when I mentioned it they said it was no problem! I got gel nails applied today at this location and was unpleasantly surprised. The owners were in, and were very unfriendly, I think they said 3 words to me the whole time. Also pricing was different in store than on the website, and I was told I would be charged $55, then was charged over $60. Overall a very odd experience, definitely will not return. read more
