Got my nails done here as dip powder and it didn't even last 1 day. Normally, when I get this manicure and my home salon (out of state) it last three weeks. A day later and 4 of my nails are chipped and I'm not even hard on my hands. Also, he wouldn't put a tip on my pointer finger and told me my nail would grow back. Well duh!! But the point is, they aren't even close to being an even length. I will never go back. read more

The nail technicians were nice enough with the few words they said to us. 90% of the time during the pedicure was spent with them speaking their native language to each other whilst the people behind them were very clearly laughing at myself and my mother. This is one of the reasons I stopped going to salons like this. I don't want to be talked about, even if it's in another language and they think I can't understand. It's obvious, it's rude, and it's unprofessional. People came in while I was waiting for my polish to dry. They were offered free drinks, while we were not. Asked for natural looking French SNS and nail "artist" suggested I get one color but I came in with French SNS from my normal salon (which was closed at this time) and I said no I would like to stay with my normal French. He huffed and another girl took over. I told her I did not like large white tips but that's what I got. She switched back with the guy who started my manicure who came back smelling like smoke. He never asked how I wanted my nails shaped and gave me square off the bat and I told him I did not like square nails where he again huffed having to change them. I don't know how they think this looks natural but I am embarrassed of having to walk around with these nails. On top of it all I had to pay $10 more than my normal salon. $40 for nails I hate. My 16 year old daughter came in to get her nails done and was drastically taken advantage of. She asked for acrylic, coffin, ambre color. She got them done and was charged $65!!! Not once did they say to her how much it was going to cost to do what she wants! Totally took advantage of her! I called and spoke with the manager and he explained all the up charges and when I stated he should have said up front how much it was he said they don't do that. When I talked about how upset she was over spending a weeks worth of wages he never once offered to make it right by offering to refund some or half off next or anything! A gesture like that is what might make someone come back. Well we will go back, not will any of her friends! Learn how o make it right with a customer. Guess what word of mouth is truly big!!! No. No. No. Nope. No no no no no no. Listen to me and just don't go here unless you don't have a choice. That being said...I am sitting in here getting a pedicure right this second. Waited for a while on a Sunday night...that's fine. Brought in and the guy asked if I wanted my toes cut. I said "yes but not too short." They are a little long but not over my toe or anything crazy. I just don't want them cut all the way down. He was very judgmental about that and had several comments to make. Really? Lol chill dude. They aren't your toes. Then the guy walked outside and left after removing my current polish. Ten minutes later some over guy has taken over. Just filed my toes after cutting and got the skin where it hurt TWICE. It may be bleeding but I don't want to look up and see. SO ROUGH. I can't. I haven't been painted yet so I can't comment on that but I think with the experience thus far you should just listen to me and the star rating. To say two good things ..the second guy working on me is friendly-ish (first guy no) and they have stayed open about twenty minutes past closing to finish us up which is nice. Disappointed is the word! I have been going to Q Nails for years! However, last month I had a new gal do my nails and it was a painful mess! I called the next day to voice my complaint but communication was difficult so I went in to show the manager. She looked at my nails and sore cuticles and said they would do the next set for free! I had 4 abrasions and one finger the gel pealed away within hours! Today I brought my daughter in to have a pedis. I took the opportunity to reminded the manager (showing her pics) that I would still be coming in for my new (free replacement) set. She said, no, not free only $5.00 off and a different technician! She said my cuticles were hard and I had asked for them to be fixed and that's what it took to clean them up! Well, I wore a bandages on my thumb for days! I had been going here for years. The staff knew my face but never bothered to ask for my name. I had a rewards card that I was saving up points on so that I could get a free mani. The other week I had forgotten to bring it with me so I was given a business card with the amount that I spent and a signature of the person who checked me out. I just went in today and gave them the business card and my rewards card and told them the story about me forgetting it. I was immediately shut down and told that the person who signed the card no longer worked there and that I couldn't get the points. I spent $120 on mine and my moms mani pedi and couldn't even claim those points. They've been rude in the past especially the lady who runs the salon. I will NEVER go back. read more

I came in asking for a full set of acrylic nails. Which, by your pricing runs $25/$35. I didn't need but three tips because my real nails were long. I was told she was doing a "new acrylic" type that didn't hurt my nails. OK.. I was skeptical.. And at first, they looked awful.. It got better and seemed okay.. Until she charged me $50!!!!!! That's double the acrylic pricing. It's insane. She didn't seem to care when I tried to question things. But I can tell you one thing, I won't be back. $50 for you to dip my nails in a powder is insane!! I will be posting this publicly.. Also.. Went here today with a friend for a pedicure and wasn't impressed. We made an appointment but I'm not sure what the point was. When we first got there they took us straight back. They started on her almost right away but I had to set there for a good 20 minutes before they started on me. They were already painting her toes before I got started. The man didn't speak to me at all and didn't ask what type pedicure I wanted or if I wanted any designs. He just did a basic pedicure. Will not be going back again. I visited Q Nails on Saturday, May 8th with a friend to get a pedicure. We had decided to go there because we both had gift certificates and it was equal distance for both of our homes. I had previously tried to get pedicures for my teenage daughters there on several occasions and was told by the owner that it would be an hour wait each time. On those occasions, we chose to go to a salon closer to my home and not wait the hour. Today, I had made sure to make an appt. so that I could finally use my gift certificate. When we arrived the place seemed clean. I was told to pick out a color and I selected a gel color. I sat in the chair and placed my feet in a bin with plastic wrap which impressed me. I liked the added security of having the basin clean and sanitized. Once the nail tech started working on my foot, he cut my big toenail and made my nail bed fill with dark red blood. I was slightly alarmed but figured he seemed to know what to do. He placed a blue liquid on it and continued on with the pedicure. I was a little surprised when he didn't apologize or even acknowledge it! He continued working on the pedicure - he scrubbed my feet and removed the dry skin then sprayed an alcohol type spray on my toes. The alcohol spray stung and I jumped and winced. He just looked at me and covered my foot with the dirty towel he was using for the pedicure and squeezed my foot. Again not acknowledging that he hurt me. Then he quickly filed my toenails and put globs of gel polish on my toes to finish up the pedicure. He quickly applied a lotion to my legs and put my shoes on my feet. Once I stood, I looked down at my feet to admire the pedicure, but I noticed that the color on my toes was different shades of red. There are parts of my toenail that are not even covered with polish! When I went to pay I told the owner that I had a $35 gift certificate. He said it expired after a year and he couldn't do anything about it. I was a little surprised and seriously thought he might be joking, so I questioned the gift card policy, so he "graciously" told me if I didn't believe him about the policy I could Google it. When I looked at him like he was nuts, he said fine I'll give you ten dollars for the gift card, but that's it. Fed up with this business, I paid the $40 and left. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and people are overworked and tired. However, I am a firm believer in manners and being polite. I was disappointed with the nail technician's pedicure and I was disappointed with the owner's cockiness and rudeness. I will not be using Q Nails again. I will also dissuade anyone I know from going there. The pedicures are rushed and not as nice as some of the other salons in town. The owner is a piece of work. Take your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else where you will feel respected and appreciated. read more

I always look forward to my nail appt here. The salon is very neat and clean. Mimi does an amazing job with my nails. I've been doing the sns nails for almost a year now and I love them soo much better than the acrylic. In the past I've always hated the massage chairs at nail salons but that's not the case at Q nails. I wish I had one of these chairs at home! If you're going for a pedicure I recommend spending the extra money and doing either the plus or the deluxe. You won't be disappointed! read more

DO. NOT. GO. HERE!! I brought my daughter here to get acrylic nails done with a marble design. Such a HUGE disaster. The nails were unusually thick and farther from the nail bed than they should have been. The marble design were mostly on the edge of the nails. She had a picture of the design she wanted and if they weren't able to execute the design I wish they would've just said so. My daughter wasn't satisfied but she didn't want to offend them. By Thursday (of the same week) her acrylic nails were popping off. She was so disappointed and upset (we had her nails done for an event) that it started an anxiety attack. By Friday a total of 4 nails came off. FOUR NAILS!?!?! We tried to go back and have them fixed but they had us wait 15 minutes while the tech's were in the back of the salon laughing and talking while 4 chairs were empty. Needless to say I wasn't going to let them touch her again. There was nothing good about our experience at all. I have gone to this salon in the past and feel as though the woman that took over management has so much to learn about being more professional. I walked into the shop this morning because I had three nails that were chipped. I have come in before even if they were busy and they have fixed them, no problem. At first she told me to come back another time and when I advised her I cannot come back today or any time this weekend because of work, she told me to sit in a chair and started to fix the nails. They were fairly steady with clients and as she was fixing the three nails I tried to show her another nail that was starting to come apart (since the fix was quick) and she got frustrated with me and told me that I needed to stop picking them, that she didn't have time to fix anymore. I am 35 years old and know how to have gel nails and what not to do with them. Obviously, if I'm paying $25 to have them done, I'm not going to pick at them. It was quite rude for her to assume that I wasn't taking care of them instead of the fact that they were not done right by her technician, just 4 days prior. She was fairly loud so the other customers could hear her blaming me for the nails chipping, (Embarrassing!!) I could not believe she did that. When I told her she was rude and that was not professional, she brushed it off and told me that I can come back tomorrow and she can repaint all of them when she has more time. Let me add, There was a young lady who came in while this was going on, to get a gel manicure and because she was paying money, they had plenty of time for her but not for me to fix their mistakes? What about how I paid to have them done in the first place? If she were to come back tomorrow saying that her nails chipped, would you treat her the same way? I told her if they were done right the first time I wouldn't even come back and 'burden' her with their guarantee for fixing within 10 days of chipping. She was also very rude to my sister when we came in a couple months back. I have a rewards card with enough points to get a free gel manicure, and still would not waste my time going in there. (That's from when I used to get my nails done regularly there, with the past manager Wi.) Do they think they are the only salon in town?? TNT nails is right down the road and have done a great job before, never had to return for chipping because they take their time and truly care about the finished product. Shame on me for giving Q-Nails so many chances. They may not care now about losing one customer, but they do that to enough people and their business will not last. A friend of mine and I had made an appt here to get manicures and pedicures on a Saturday. We knew we were going to be running behind so we called 45 min before our appt to notify them and update our appt time ... We called 4 times with no answer. I finally got ahold of them 10 before our appt at which time they told me that was ok and not a problem. When we arrive at the new scheduled time they took three people who did not have appts (and we knew this bc they told us it was bc we didn't come at the time of our original appt). When I mentioned that we tried calling them 45min before with no answer the lady very rudely said they were busy. So we sat down to wait for the 30 min they said it would be. While waiting, another customer ( young lady and her mother) was checking out. The mother informed the employee that her daughters acrylic nails were not finished and they cut them all off. The employee began arguing with the customer and looked at the young lady (14ish years old to estimate) and called her a liar and was yelling at her in front of all the customers. I feel this place is VERY unprofessional and does not treat their customers appropriately. Last time I was there back in November an employee sliced open my friends foot with a callus file and never once apologized or gave her a discount (and when I say sliced I mean literally cut it open). I thought I would give it another try but never again will I go there. I would not recommend it to anyone. We left after that and went to Queen nails off of Williamson road. We got the customer service that should be provided as well as beautiful nails! read more
