My visits here have often been for the breakfast (porridge and fresh tasty bread you can fill with cheese, tomato, cucumber, egg) which I've enjoyed together with orange juice and coffee. During the summer the breakfast is the best as you can sit outside and watch the local life pass by. Many people seem to come here also for "dagen efter" breakfast and you can hear stories from the night before. Even when you visit during the winter in the mornings, the place may lack the huge amounts of people, but the place has a gathering of local men that have retired and gather here to share the latest gossip. It's actually quite funny to listen to because you get a wrap of the latest local news and it's almost like they compete to tell the stories best. After the breakfast I often end up buying bread home from here and during "laskiainen" (Shrove Tuesday) they also have the best shrove buns or semlas! Yum!

I had to leave the prams outside and carry the baby with me. Good thing it was a sunny day so we could eat outside! Carrying coffee, baby and dessert is difficult if not impossible on any given day but imagine doing it and climbing stairs! They had very nice pastries, cakes, cookies and savoury items and coffee, tea, ice cream etc. The staff was also friendly. During the summer they have a patio outside and there were quite many people visiting even though not much was happening at Tallipiha that day (only a couple shops open). I will come here again, but not with just me and the baby. If the cafe would be accessible with prams, my rating would be higher too.

It's certainly very nice when the weather is great, although you may need to queue yourself to death. And it's a bit far away if you aren't driving or you easily get out of breath. Luckily, there is however an easier way to devour that perfect balance of fat and sugar, and it's right here! So, do stop by. Yes, these munkkis are the real thing. That's what matters the most. There are some other snacks available, too. While the location is wonderfully convenient, the cafe does get crowded at times.
