I have a really tight budget and a slow leak, pyramid came to give a free quote on the fix. They quickly found the problem, and came back the next day and fixed it. As a non customer watching from afar I would not recommend this company. they are very loud as in playing music on top of the hammering and work being done. they also showed up at 4pm and worked until 8. with their crap in my yard not their customers. if this is what the best looks and sounds like then I would consider doing it myself. read more

I don't want to make this a lengthy review so will give a brief overview. We had our roof and gutters replaced on our house and shop due to a hailstorm. It has taken a year and a half and still is not done. So many negative things have happened. We have several holes in siding from the gutters put on that they have yet to fix. The gutter team left everything in our yard, nails, screws, hinges, bungee cord, orange cone and more. They didn't even put the correct down spouts on and one of the gutters is not slanted correctly. They tore a hole in one of our window screens and put a dent in our metal siding. The dumpster cracked our driveway. The salesperson was challenging to work with!! Nice guy but he never followed through, said one thing and never did it or was not what happened, hence the reason it's a year and a half and still not done. Ended up with very little trust or respect. read more

Our neighbor's house was to have a new roof today. The project manager and crew destroyed our pet turf in our yard. They entered our property without permission and proceeded to destroy our pet turf. The crew left our yard a mess with roofing nails. We have 3 small dogs and this is their yard. When trying to get a contact name and phone number at Pyramid to speak to about the mess, the chatbot would not get me this information. Poor service, poor quality, poor value. Irresponsible work and trespassing into our yard. This is a most horrible experience. I have pictures of everything. read more

Looking through the reviews, it is interesting how some experiences deviate from mine. Very rarely, I run into someone that really seems to be interested in taking care of me. I almost always feel like people and companies are trying to take advantage of me. For months, my insurance company actively refused to replace my hail damaged roof. I already had two roofing companies come out to document damage when I reached out to JOE SHANKS with Pyramid roofing. He explained how the industry works and got me in touch with Rhino Public Adjusters. Literally, within 48 hours of receiving a letter from Rhino, State Farm claims approved my roof claim. I have never had a better experience with a business than I had with Joe Shanks, Pyramid Roofing, and Rhino Public Adjusters. I am so thankful I lucked into meeting Joe Shanks. The work was done professionally. Given the mess during the work, I could not believe how well they cleaned up before they left. I have a huge roof and I only found 3 nails and a couple small pieces of debris around the house. I think there are different teams and people you can call at Pyramid. You can trust Joe Shanks. Siding. Just had our home sided and wanted to let my neighbors know that the person that installed the siding did an excellent job and is a true craftsman of his trade. Six weeks to complete, as he was the only person doing this job. The company however, not so professional. Lack of communication, lack of care and no follow up / follow through as promised. Pyramid Roofing, used on a prior home, had some issues regarding improper install, they fixed the issues, after several times, and I gave them a second chance on this home, but there won't be a third. Also, called the company to talk about the issue of communication, spoke to the sales manager and he had an I don't care attitude. Lesson learned read more

Unimpressed with service so far. 3 items were ruined during roof installation and 1 item that was contracted to be complete was not started. The company constantly says someone will call or be out soon. But now it's been almost 2 months and there is still no word on when things will be fixed. Their 'warranty department' is a joke! I finally told them to cease all further repairs. We will privately contract the rest of our work. The roof installation was done quickly, and they cleaned up well, which deserves at least one star. Unfortunately their customer service is terrible. I will not refer anyone to use them again, which is sad since they are local. read more

My apologies in advance for the length of this review. Suffice it to say that I can't recommend them. I contracted with Pyramid in 2017 for roof replacement on my 1920s two story home, which has a rather complex combination of mild and steep pitches across a number of hips and valleys, gables, and a flat section above a three season porch. The representative from Pyramid who made the initial assessment and estimate made a good impression with his professional attitude and command of knowledge of roofing methods. After the roof was replaced, the first flag for me was the discovery of damage to a power vent in the roof that had been in working order prior to roof replacement. It had to be removed during the old roof tear-off phase and the shroud structure was apparently bent by the crew in the removal process. I made this discovery when I went into the attic to plug it back in after it was reinstalled, and quickly determined the fan blades wouldn't spin freely in the housing. I contacted Pyramid to report the problem, and the supervisor who had been overseeing the shingle crew came out promptly to inspect the damage. He told me that I could bend the housing back into shape and that it should work just fine, and if not Pyramid would replace the unit at no cost. I took him at his word and didn't take immediate action to repair it, as daytime temperatures had dropped low enough that the attic wasn't heating up to levels that would cause the thermostatic switch to turn on the fan. Fast forward to the third week of June of this year (2018), when I walked into my guest room and noticed water damage on my ceiling and floor. I called Pyramid to alert them to the situation and was told the "Warranty Department" would be notified. I then sent written notification of the event as required in the contract. Days went by and I had no call-back from Pyramid. Five days later a Pyramid employee came out to make an assessment. He determined that the leak was not coming from the newly replaced shingles, but from the roof on the dormer, which had NOT been replaced. I asked him why it hadn't been replaced last fall when the rest of the roof had been completed, and he didn't have an answer as to why, but showed me a photo of an area on the dormer that was clearly damaged, with rusty screw heads protruding from the roof media. Prior to the arrival of the employee performing the inspection above, I had attempted to repair the damaged power vent but due to its structure I could not get enough of the housing bent back into place to free the fan blades. I also pointed this out to the employee and he said he would make a note of it. (He also shared with me that the supervisor who last fall had told me I could repair the vent was no longer with Pyramid.) Three days after the inspection by Pyramid I was called by someone at Pyramid, and the call included my original salesman on speaker. I was provided with a vague apology for the oversight and an outline of procedure for repairing the dormer roof and replacing the damaged power vent unit. I was given a verbal estimate for the repairs, which was going to cost about $1500, but was discounted down to $800 (essentially free materials and vent unit) for labor. The repairs were performed and everything seems to be fine to date. No effort of repair or monetary compensation for the interior damage was ever offered by Pyramid, presumably per the language in the contract ("Guarantee"). I can only conclude that the shingle and flat roof crews did their work well, but a lack of effective communication/supervision between the shingle crew, the salesman, and job supervisor resulted in a failure to ensure that the existing power vent was to be reinstalled without damage, and that the entire job was in fact completed, which resulted in the power vent damage, the leak, and subsequent interior damage from the old dormer roof that was never initially replaced. If you choose to do business with Pyramid, make sure they get everything done right the first time. It is ultimately less expensive for everyone involved. read more

The crews were great guys and they cleaned our property as if it was their own. We had gutters replaced and the craftsmanship equalled that of the roofing. Pyramid Roofing did an outstanding job installing our new gutters in April 2022. We were cautious about this installation as we had the unfortunate experience of having our gutters replaced by another company less than a year ago. After excessive leaking and drainage issues, we found out the entire job could not be repaired and needed to be fully replaced. Nick, our Project Manager, was here to help. He and Ritchie did an outstanding job explaining why our gutters were not meeting our expectations and answered all of our many questions about how their installation would be better. They were able to complete the job quickly with no disturbance to our landscaping. The crew went above and beyond by touching up the paint on areas that were scratched when removing the problem gutters. After our previous, horrible experience with the other company we were very pleased with all aspects of Pyramid Roofing - sales, installation, and cleanup. Terrible experience with these yahoos. They subcontracted the roofing work to be done above my entry way. Soon had water damage on the ceiling. After having to call many times to get them back out, they started the re-work. With the work half completed, a heavy rain storm happened. The house flooded - the entryway destroyed. It was literally raining inside the house. After many more calls to get them back out, they finally did the work properly. Great. After agreeing to get someone to fix everything inside the house, they disappear again. It's always "we'll be there tomorrow" with these guys. Horrible customer service, horrible work. I'd suggest to find someone better, and anyone would be better. read more

We called them for 3 projects we had in the house, one of which was a leaking roof issue. We were told over the phone that they did all 3, and they set up consultation appointment in our home. At that appointment, we were told that they did not do the other projects (which is why we went with them), but would look at the roof. The guy was very nice, but spent the entire time telling us that we'd need to have a massive section of our solarium ripped out to the tune of at least $5,000, and that that was not work that they did, and he didn't have anyone else to recommend. When pressed for an alternative, he agreed that there were less drastic alternatives that could be tried first, and he agreed to send us an estimate for that option. After a week, with no estimate sent, my husband contacted them. We then received a postcard in the mail that they could not do the work. Complete and total waste of time. read more

I'd advise you to look anywhere else besides Pyramid if you need roofing work. After a hail storm smashed up our roof, I called Pyramid. Every day or two for next couple weeks, their salesman called and e-mailed me asking when we could sign a contract. After meeting with him and hearing a very well rehearsed and "too good to be true" sales pitch, we signed a contract and handed over a large check. I asked when the roof would be done and the sales guy said we'd hear from someone in a couple days and we'd be scheduled and done in two weeks. Our check was cashed two days later, but we never heard from the sales guy or anyone in their scheduling or insurance offices ever again. We called repeatedly and were told, "We'll have someone call you tomorrow." Six weeks later, we were told that they couldn't get shingles. They signed more contracts than they could handle, knowing they couldn't get supplies or crews to do the work. I brought that point up to one of their upper management and they didn't do anything other than state, "That's just how it is." By that point it was mid-October and we asked them to cancel the contract or be held in breech. They did and we had the roof replaced in less than two weeks by a much more competent roofer. read more

I have told all my friends, family and co-workers to never hire this company. My experience is similar to others on this review site. Poor communication, excuses at every turn, poor workmanship by their 'subcontractors', statements of "he doesn't work here anymore", etc. One of their newer employees told me plenty of how they do business and gave me an earful. When your own employees blow the whistle about their "ethics" and asks a customer to "please don't repeat my statements" is suspect at best. Having to pay this company after 1.5 yrs of agony was not an easy task. I still have problems with calcified water showing up on my stove (from the microwave flue) after it rains hard. read more

I'd put ZERO stars if it would let me. i couldn't tell you how disappointed we were with this company. When we first got the roof done a year ago it was great spend multiple tens of thousands on a roof with Pyramid Roofing. 2 years later the roof started leaking in multiple spots LONG before the ice problems existed. they came out and their repair guy said they did 3 things incorrectly and they would call to get someone out to fix it. they also in the contract had to fix the interior damage that was caused by the roof leaking. after 3 months of me calling them trying to get someone out to fix the roof they called me back and told me they weren't covering any of it due to ice damming which it isn't since it existed prior to the snow and ice this winter and they had an excuse for why they couldn't cover the other issue that caused an entire wall in our upstairs to have to be torn out. i recommended them to 3 people and ALL 3 had similar issues and they refused to cover their work even though it's in the contract that they have to cover you for 5 years. DO NOT under any circumstances use this company they do not stand behind their work as they say and is in their contract and your roof WILL most likely leak and cause interior damage that they will find some way to not cover. read more

We hired Pyramid in July or August- after all the hail storms. Adjuster came out...took several weeks to hear back. Then took awhile to hash it out with insurance. They dropped off their supplies in September- had to call several time because where they placed their pallets of stuff blocked access to a garage door and when they came to move it, they put it right in the middle of the driveway. We ended up having to move the stuff ourselves. Their stuff sat at our house for a month...finally came out to do the roof mid October. Assured us someone would be following shortly behind to do the gutters. Did not hear anything from them the entire month of November. After about 6-8 phone calls (from us to them), finally got here to do the gutters. Never called with updates or to let us know when things were happening. But they would show up with no warning after NO COMMUNICATION and expect us to be out of their way (dogs, cars, etc). Took 2 days to do the gutters and then they did not return to finish. Had to call several more times to find out why it was not finished and when they were coming back. Now we got put to the back of the line again and it took another week to come back and finish the gutters. All told, this was about a 4-5 month ordeal with no communication from their end. I seriously feel like if we had not started calling them on a daily basis, our work would still not be done. read more
