I love Pylones products, and have been buying them for many years. Last month, I bought five gifts at the main train station shop and asked for gift wrapping paper. The saleswoman said it would cost 20 cents per gift. Since I often shop at this store, I asked if they could give me the wrapping paper for free as a regular customer. The woman got her boss from the back, and the two women told me I always ask for a discount. That's true, but it's been common practice in Austria for over 10 years; even the supermarket, the drugstore, and the clothing store are happy when we shop there and offer discounts for their regular/app customers, which is why I asked.
Today, a guy/ sales man told me I am restricted from shopping at Pylons main station shop. I asked why, he said his boss told him that I want the gift paper for free. I said, I buy for sometimes for more than €100 and I should be able to pay €1 for wrapping paper. This seems to be a family business, as they all speak a foreign language between themselves. I find that wrong. Who ever own this shop should look into getting salesperson from different countries, so that one person is not ruling it all. Specially at the international location like Main Train Station in Vienna. read more
