So my initial fee covered his visit and the adjustment, unlike other vendors I've used in the past where they look for things that they can charge you more or say they're about to break, just to charge you more money for the service. Our water heater broke, was leaking, and the shutoff valve didn't work. So we were looking for quick service, and Kennihan's delivered. I called before the start of normal business hours (probably 7am or so). Whomever fields calls off-hours took my information and promised someone would call me back to discuss service in 15-20 minutes. Sure enough in less than 15 minutes I received a call (I believe from the owner) and was informed service would be scheduled as soon as their service desk folks arrived at 8am to see what techs were available and when. Again, I received a call promptly around 8am, discussed my situation, provided the necessary details to get an over-the-phone estimate, and scheduled a service call for that same day. When the tech arrived around 3.5 hours later, he had the old water heater removed, and the new water heater installed in about 4 hours. With all the complaints I saw others post about being "ripped off," I didn't find that to be true. They installed a quality Rheem gas water heater (not one you can buy at Home Depot), a new shutoff valve for the water and gas, and disposed of the old water heater, and some other bulky parts from an old air filter unit (that had nothing to do with the service call). Conversely, my parents used a different HVAC company, and paid a comparable price for a new water heater installation but didn't have same day service, didn't have one that needed replaced/disposed of, and purchased a different brand of water heater. The total difference in price was $300. All-in-all I felt it what we paid was reasonable. By all means, comparison shop, but I'll be calling these guys the next time I have an HVAC problem.

I called them to ask if there is a warranty on the tank and told me "well it's two years old." He wanted 179 to look at it. After reviewing the bad reviews, I told him I will add one too. He hung up on me... I do not recommend this business. When he was at the house, he started telling me my Generac was not done correct and wanted other work it seemed. I am quite happy with my Generac company. I had a radon business scheduled and he wanted this service also. I am quite happy with my radon company. No thanks Kennihan. I don't even think one star is appropriate for this business.

One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning arrived to evaluate our furnace. The man said it needed a…read morepump and an aqua stat. It was $119 to tell us that. He said he could not "guarantee future comfort" . We called the company to see when they would be back to replace the pump and aquastat. They weren't planning on coming back, and said I refused the repairs. Arranged for another serviceman to come out to make the repairs. One week later another service man came out. He was extremely difficult to understand, but kept saying "We give you an aggressive discount if you say yes to get new furnace today." He called his office, the aggressive discount was 10% off of $14,600. He charged us $660 ($119 AGAIN + the labor and material to replace ONLY THE AQUASTAT. He said he couldn't loosen the bolts to replace the pump. and still we had no heat. To make a long story short, we called another Hvac company, and with the installation of the pump and a total of $400 dollars, we have a working furnace. My suggestion is RUN AWAY. This company has gone down hill since Schneider sold out. My neighbor, who is part of their "COMFORT CLUB" told me today that they broke a part on his furnace when they were doing the yearly comfort service. It took four techs to fix it. They will try to up sell you at every turn.

I had to call another company who came out the same day and because they did not install, the warranty program was not an option paid the new company for both the new appliance and their labor.
