I can only talk about the service department here, since they are the only department I've worked with. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, mistakingly thinking this time would be honored. Well, here I am 45 minutes after my appointment and my car has still not been touched. You will be SPAMED by this company! I was in Altus for military duty and needed to have a tire repaired, I went to Putnam, they did a good job. However, for the past 3 years I've been receiving their SPAM emails. Every time I follow the link to unsubscribe, but the messages continue to come. I can't in good faith recommend doing business with a company that is so carless with customer's personnel information. read more

As a young person who's bought many cars in their lifetime (this makes 12), I always appreciate when the car buying goes smoothly. I had been searching for a GTI for a few months when I found this beautiful example at Putnam Toyota of Altus. I reached out to them and Frank Seitz got back to me immediately. Able to text me after hours when it was the best time for me. Frank was very professional and courteous and I highly recommend him. I flew from San Antonio, TX to Lawton, OK. Lawton is an hour east of Altus and Frank went the extra 56.2 miles twice to pick my brother and I up from the airport..on his day off. I finally saw the car in person for the first time and knew it was a good decision. The paperwork was signed and we were on our way. A fun and scenic six hours later we made it home. Went to the service department to have a water pump changed. After two weeks I was informed there was another problem with my car and they had to order more parts. Three weeks later I finally get my car back, but the fan motor does not turn on. Do not let these people touch your car! read more

Employees not always friendly. Didn't enjoy condescending attitude towards women when it came to service. Owner was on site and said something to the effect of "cars are going to break down." This was after the transmission was replaced, instead of the fuel pump. I was told the car stereo was replaced but it still had my fingerprint on the front. Several problems with the car. Would not go back. HIGHLY recommend finding another dealership. read more

Frank in sales was decent to work with and the prices were fair but the service department horrible and some of the other staff condescending and ignorant. I bought a truck there granted not Toyota asked them if I should take else where to get worked on they stated it would take money from them woth it being warranty allowed them to work on. 1st time there they fixed something not under warranty and botched the reason I initially brought in for. Took back they talked to me like I was ignorant drove the truck came back said there was a definite issue with 4x4. Kept for 4 days called me back said runs fine in 2 wheel just don't put in four wheel drive. I got my truck back took to another shop they won't work on it because Putnam of Altus had worked on initially. Took back in they changed a part a week had for 3 weeks couldn't say what the problem was kept getting the run around. They would tell me they would call me on a certain day at a certain time no call for 3 days past the day they stated. Went in to see how I could get out of truck due to their inability to fix it. Then tried to push a truck off on me that I don't want. Will not go back and will bash them without remorse or guilt. Go to Lawton or anywhere else if you want a Toyota or if they beat competitor prices but there but don't have anything serviced there. Know of atleast one more person having same issue with their service department. read more

Never gave a bad review to anybody. I had to make this one an exception. This was the worst Car buying experience ever. John Lied to me over the phone and said they a 2014 white Toyota Corolla with 19,000 miles in like new condition for what seemed like a reasonable price of $13,835. Wasted a day and a half driving 550 miles from Texas to Oklahoma. This was advertised as a Certified Toyota and I was told that over the phone. This car had over $2500 worth of hail and paint damage. I would know this, Because I have been a master paint & body man for 43 years. John claims he never saw it or knew anything about it---BULL. Toyota plainly says that their certified vehicles can not have hail damage. Buyers beware of anything this dealer passes off a certified vehicle from Toyota. Of course we didn't but it. We drove home empty handed. Calling Toyota today to see what they will do about this. Not happy with Toyota at all. I will review Toyota tomorrow. read more
