I just got done shopping at this Scheels in Fargo, North Dakota. I just stopped in to take a look…read moreat it as I was traveling. Oh my gosh!! This is absolutely the largest most extensive sporting goods store I've ever been in in my life! It has everything that you need and more. I bought a cool US Army golfing shirt! What really made this different though, was the exceptional genuine friendly customer service! I have never been treated so warmly in a retail establishment ever! I've got to say that this was, by far, the best retail store that I have ever been in. I highly recommended Scheels Fargo to anyone who wants to get something in the sporting goods arena and also wants to have a very pleasant experience while they're shopping. Oh, by the way, they have a shooting gallery, which was fun, and a Ferris wheel, which I rode!... I also took a picture of myself with the bison and the grizzly bear!

I would rate them better but unfortunately I found their prices on guns and ammo to be extremely high- I know they have to turn a profit but some of the prices were absurd. This Mills, on back Friday, seemed worn down and the layout seems a little off. The staff was expectedly tired as all the shoppers for black Friday were out. It's location is a little off the beaten path of Fargo and if you didn't come from the south you probably wouldn't know it was there. Overall the prices are decent and the back Friday deals were very good.

It's not very often, especially these days, you can go into a retail store & not only get the help you need, but actually feel appreciated. The staff at Fargo Fleet Farm does just that...they do go above & beyond. Thank you!!! That's so refreshing. I appreciate the wide variety of "quality" merchandise your store has to offer Great prices AND quality...you can get much better than that. Pretty easy to say, these are the 3 things that keep me coming back! Jayne

Management strongly needs training on racism. My daughter and I, Native Americans, experienced…read moreracism by the manager of the West Fargo location. Both of us were wearing worn and dated shoes and while the employee working looked at both of our shoes when we walked out she walked out behind us and took down my license plate number. I went back in to ask why and the employee said the manager instructed her to do so. The manager came to the front and said she thought we left with different shoes but said she didn't find any "empties" in the back. Clearly we were being watched even though there were many customers, none of which were persons of color. Not only that but the manager was aggressive and hostile in her demeanor. I'm very disappointed and sincerely hope that the issue is addressed but considering it happened in 2019 by someone else who left a review, it would seem racism is acceptable to Famous Footwear. The picture shows the shoes the manager thought were stolen.
