I would recommend this gym to anyone, the equipment is very good and the place is always clean…read more I've used most of the gyms in Leicester but the gym is the only one that suits all of my needs especially being open 24 hrs a day which is ideal because of the hours I work. My only gripe is that some members seem to have a problem understanding gym rules ie returning dumbells to there correct places, and using sweat towels, this should be monitored and enforced a lot more than it is to ensure all members are able to enjoy their workouts completely.

There is no reception desk and the pathetically small free weights section is inadequate at all times of the day. There is also hardly any equipment barring the machines. The coup de grais as far as I am concerned is the fact you cannot view the place prior to joining. It is sneaky and wrong. Avoid at all costs!

Arriving for my first class I found the instructors (Derek Smith & Lynda Bryan) friendly and very welcoming. I found the classes really hard work but the atmosphere was relaxed but positive, I have since achieved black belt status and I compete in prestigous tournaments such as:- Irish Open, WAKO British Nationals and Cimac to name a few and with results I may add! I have noticed a lot of changes in myself, I have improved strength, flexibility, balance, mental strength and concentration. I've been competing at a high level for 6 years and teach my own classes now, I still contunue to train with Derek on a daily basis to stay competition ready.
