I had been working with Pure Water Technologies for ten years. Twice a year they came to fill my salt water and change filters. Last year when they came out for service, the technician flipped a valve that I warned him about three different times at our appointment. He flipped it anyway and flooded my kitchen, dining room and hallway. There was 4" of water in my crawl space. They refinished the floors but I had hotel costs, furniture movers, storage for furniture and the whole experience was horrible for all of us. A month ago I called to schedule my regular six month service and I was told they wouldn't help me because of "my plumbing issues". The flooding was THEIR fault. I'm having to switch to Culligan and buy all new water filtration. Pure water Technologies is not a reputable company. read more

I have no choice but to fire Pure Water Technologies of Bozeman. I have tried to demonstrate over the last 4 years as much patience, understanding and forgiveness for some of the poorest customer service and lack of professionalism, accountability and operational and administrative ineptitude I've experienced with any service provider, ever. First the sheer demand for their services was the excuse, then the pandemic, then post pandemic and now .... Yikes! They keep giving me excuses and I have kept paying for them My bill has included parts that weren't provided, maintenance that wasn't done. Persistent service appointment problems and today - a call to Pure Water that wasn't atypical and went like this: Me: can I talk with someone regarding our last maintenance visit 2 months ago when ____, your technician tested our RO system (our drinking water!) at the end of his maintenance visit and said, "this water quality is not acceptable and your RO system is not working correctly. I'm going to go back to the office and check with someone there to see if they could recommend a fix and get back to you". That was like two months ago and no one has gotten back to us. PWT Bozeman: hold on I'll transfer you to ____ he can help you. PWT Bozeman: hi this is _____. Is this _____ at ____? Me: yes it is PWT Bozeman: well your next maintenance visit isn't until August and I see ____ our technician was there in May Me: that's not why I'm calling (he assumes so as they fail to schedule the quarterly maintenance visits as promised and I have to chase them around to get them to schedule those. And when I do they invariably say "we were just about to contact me to schedule your (delinquent) maintenance visit"). PWT Bozeman: why ARE you calling? Me: ____ your technician who was out in May for our quarterly maintenance and had promised to get back to us within 7-10 days after ____ returned from vacation to tell us what the fix might be for our RO system (our drinking water!). My wife called a couple of weeks ago to follow up, was promised a return call again and no one has done so. PWT Bozeman: what's wrong with your RO system? Me: don't you have the notes or record from the technician's last visit that details this? PWT Bozeman: well probably, but I'd have to dig through all these files to find it and I don't want to keep you waiting.... Me: he was supposed to have spoken with ____ who was on vacation for a week to get a better sense of what the fix might be to our RO system and and then get back to us with what our options are PWT Bozeman: oh yea ____ is the ("his title") and he knows a lot about these systems. Me: okay, when will he get back to us or have someone do so? PWT Bozeman: well last time I walked by his computer he had like 200 unanswered emails so he's got a ton of responses to get to. We run him ragged around here. But I can go talk to him. Me: What's your name and what do you do? PWT Bozeman I'm ____ and I do ____ Me: Well when will you talk to him and when should I expect to hear back from you or him? PWT Bozeman: You won't hear from him. It will be me you hear back from... This is pretty much how it's gone consistently for the past 4 years and Pure Water Technologies Bozeman, you're fired. Shame on me for putting up with this nonsense for so long and shame on the owners and operators of Pure Water Technologies of Bozeman for running a business this way - charging thousands of dollars for water filtration and treatment systems and hundreds or even thousands of dollars for quarterly and annual maintenance and then operating a business with a perpetually changing and under-trained staff, lousy to non-existent follow up and follow thru--un kept promises, inaccurate bills for service visits, etc. After giving them 4+ years to get it together there's really no hope. I strongly recommend any prospective customer in need of water filtration and treatment products and services in South Central Montana look elsewhere. read more

We have had great service from Pure Water for close to 16 years now. We are located some distance - 1.5 hours- from their home base. They come regularly and have upgraded our systems as needed and have provided valuable service. Technicians are friendly and helpful. Poor service. Poor response time. Poor communications. They let the chlorinator service lapse so our water system got contaminated then they wouldn't take any responsibility for their actions. It took them months to get our water back to being safe to drink. And I am still arguing with them over the billing. I agree with the other reviews - terrible service and terrible company. They do not care about their customers. I would not use them if you have any other choice. read more

We've been using Pure Water Technologies since we moved into our current home in December of 2020. The previous owners said great things about their water quality and so we didn't hesitate to continue the R/O service. Whenever I call I get an appointment scheduled right away (usually within 48 hours for regular maintenance). They also check in with me periodically to schedule services, if needed. The technicians we have stay as long as it takes to get the job done and are always very pleasant, professional, and answer any of our questions. I highly recommend Pure Water Technologies. read more

If they were paying me, maybe I'd be okay with their service but, nah and NAH. Setting an appointment was fine and it was for 2pm, I have to leave by 3 to pick up my kids from school. 2:15 rolls around and no one is at my house. I call their office and ask if their salesman is coming and the woman says she will call the sales manager. 2:25 the salesman comes a knockin and says he was late because he had to stop and pay a bill. (Uhhhmmm....what the ??!!) After he looks around and leaves brochures he says he will email a proposal and cost estimate to me after the weekend. Guess what? Didn't happen. Not surprised and NOT IMPRESSED. We went with Culligan instead, much much better. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I thought I should let people know what a really terrible company this is. They do not care about their customers. I purchased a very expensive system 4 years ago, which never worked, and was not working probably for months. They came out on one of their regularly scheduled expensive maintence visits. They said the system was working but in need of a 6,000 part. I just went ahead and replaced the entire system for half of that. They refused to come out when I said I wanted to replace the system and would not return phone calls. They are very over priced and in my case, according to everyone who has looked at it, put in a very bad system which didn't even last 4 years. read more

Pure Water has performed excellent service for the Community Food Co-op for over 20 years. We have 3 RO systems, 4 soft water systems and countless filters on random equipment and sinks at our 3 locations. Their customer service is spot on and I never have to wait long for a repair. We are currently building a 42,000 square foot facility and I didn't hesitate to have Pure Water design a new system for us. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality equipment and clean drinking water. Wow blown off again by the owner today. Been arguing with these guys for months now about my RO not putting out enough and it is just one excuse after another when my system was so new. He is so desperate to charge me for an issue he cannot prove but is willing to go to the ends of the earth to keep from having to just take care of a good client. Why won't you call and talk to me about it instead of hiding behind your workmen? I own a business and would never let a customer be so left hanging and on the hook for a product that maybe should never have been recommended and installed. You guys are the professionals yet you come back now and tell me oh maybe it's bacteria in your well, oh maybe it's your well pressure, oh maybe it's...geez just come deal with it...OR CALL ME!! I would be more than happy to talk to this elusive owner or even the manager I was yet again promised I would hear from. So disheartening that everything was working fine until your service guy came out for my regularly scheduled appointment and then my RO just stops working correctly but it's on me...no call back as promised (and that was months ago!) and no more resolve today. Maybe it's time to call BBB. Don't sign on with this company, I'm very sad I did. I will take my business to Kinetico once I save enough money to pay for the rip off job these guys did.
