My granddaughter attended this gym and took classes on Friday nights. During the 2024 summer season…read morewe took a break due to other sporting activities. We rejoined the gym fall of 2024. My granddaughter's dad took her. On the very first day she complained about the instructor. I brushed it off . Well the complaining only got more intense to where she had extreme anxiety. I took her to a counselor to get to the bottom of this. After her babysitter brought her home from the gym from extreme anxiety , stress and crying , I decided I need to go to see what the issue was that was causing my 7 year old fear and emotional stress. She pointed out the instructor to me and as I was talking to the instructor, my grandchild stood in the corner terrified and was weeping beyond belief. I asked why is she crying , she said this instructor yells at her and rolls her eyes at her. However she is terrified of this instructor. I even changed classes and even when she sees this lady when we walk in she cries uncontrollably. On Jan 13 I asked the instructor to meet with us to apologize to my grandchild. During this attempt the owner, Brandon Sloan , dismissed the instructor and proceeded to question my grandchild. During the discussion he refused to even acknowledge the concerns of myself and my granddaughter! He stated he has never had a complaint about this instructor. And he refused to even acknowledge that perhaps something occurred and ignored my family. I want to mention that even when asked about the instructor from Mr Sloan my grandchild was in tears and terrified. The fact that we were dismissed is disappointing & disturbing! Something happened. My grandchild likes the new class and instructor. She never had an issue from our previous Friday evening sessions. The class I removed her from starts on Monday @ 6. She is with a new instructor and seems to be doing well with her. However the instructor who yells goes unchecked

And they offer punch cards so come 5 times, get one free! It's so much to do for children (3 trampolines, ropes, shapes for smaller children, etc.) & they are free to roam as they please.

For 25 mins of the 35 min session the children just run around doing whatever they want with no instruction or structure from the teacher, then there is about 5 mins of stretching lead by the instructor and they play with a giant parachute with specific instructions for another 5 or so minutes. It is enjoyable for the kids but definitely not in anyway educational or learning any sort of gymnastic skills. I know they are only 2 but I was expecting an actual class with skills being taught (rolls, jumps, just basic little things) not just free for all play time-definitely not worth the price but since we have already paid the enrollment fee and first month tuition we will finish out the month and go from there

Ok well... I am a completive gymnast for the jo team but I will say all of my coaches really do…read morecare about all of us. We all know a coach is watching. I feel like the coach isn't really assistants to that one group, if a coach is on the other side of the gym they see bent knees or flexed feet they will scream it. But if you want to do gymnastics your child does have to quit a lot of other activities they do outside of school when they pass level 2/3 like I miss tons of important school games for our football team just for a practice so if your kid doesn't go to a lot of practices they will be very behind the teammates because the won't have all of their skills so recommend Roanoke instead of Pure.
