So I'll start with the flaws first because I want this to be a happy ending. It has no swimming pool, limited machines, no towels, limited showers & toilets, weights are not always put back, not 24 hours like most Pure Gyms and is a lot more expensive than its other branches.
I've been going here since it was LA Fitness and I never used the showers, steam room or swimming pool as its not my thing considering I can do it all, except swimming, at home which is only 15mins away. I'm gutted about the towels but I carry my own little one now for my sweaty forehead.
This gym is convenient as its next to Canary Wharf, shops, bars, restaurants, a cinema, a car park and public transport. Most importantly it's near work and home so a big thumbs up!
Why I love going here is that its a no nonsense gym. Pay for the personal training or just come to train, go to a few classes or to perv on good looking men (don't tell anyone I do the latter).
The personal trainers are good and friendly, I am with Louise who's a gem. On top of that there are many classes to choose from so there's something for someone who's looking to get fit.
I find the "beam me up Scotty" doors fascinating and a good way to not carry any membership card around. Lastly, people are friendly as they are there for the same thing but be warned for the aggressive body builders who are also harmless. read more
