I called the CPS emergency line to report this, and they carefully took down my info and said they'd call when someone was on the way. Nobody called, but a pair of guys showed up in hardhats in a big truck. After asking me a few questions, they were in the panels, and on the roof. They diagnosed and repaired the problem promptly. They didn't do the best job of explaining what went wrong. I'm guessing that they didn't perform an exorcism. The problem seems to have been that the prior technician had misinstalled something, which was causing problems, possibly jeopardizing the safety of my home. Oh well, problem solved, and it didn't cost a thing.

I contacted the original company that installed the panels (from here on, it will be referred to as OrgCom). Dan Moran was my first contact at OrgCom. He quickly sent me the information my roofer needed on uninstalling and reinstalling the panels. He periodically checked on where we were in the process. As we got closer to starting the repairs, he informed me that he was no longer the contact person since he was not working with them anymore and provided me with the new person's contact information. My roofer had difficulties getting a hold of the new person or anyone else from OrgCom. I called Dan and he offered to reach out and see if he could get a hold of someone at OrgCom. He called back right away and informed me that they had ceased operations. During our conversation, I learned that he was now working for Central Texas Solar and that they only serve a 100-mile radius from San Antonio. I asked if he knew of any company that offers services in my area. He could have easily said NO, but instead, he spoke with his new boss and got them to agree to take me as a new customer even though I was many miles outside their service area. Central Texas Solar matched the repair estimate I had received from OrgCom and quickly began working with my roofer to schedule the panel removal. After the roof work was completed, they returned to reinstall the panels. The crew drove from San Antonio and worked until late (it was dark when they left). After checking MySolarEdge App it was not reflecting that all the panels were up and running. My roofer contacted them, and they sent a crew back to check what was happening. Two men from Central Texas Solar showed up on the 23rd of October and quickly figured out what was wrong. I started talking to them and found out that one of them was Mr. Leo Kapici the owner. I took that opportunity to tell him about Dan's exceptional customer service. Nowadays it is hard to find workers with great attitudes, passion, and professionalism. I must acknowledge Dan, Kathy, Leo, and all of you who worked behind the scenes to make this happen. Central Texas Solar gets 12 out of 10 in my book.

I just now realized that I did not finish the review and all I did was leave five stars this visit was for the carpenter to take down all the wooden blinds from every one of my windows, and remove them from my home. The carpenter was efficient, prompt, and very pleasant. Two days ago, I filled out a online request of tasks that I needed to be completed. I immediately received a response from Fix it Freddy and an appointment for today. The carpenter David completed the tasks that I had listed on the online request and was very open with completing other tasks that I kept adding while he was in my home. All in all, from hanging a curtain rod, adjusting two doors, replacing a door lock set, and then painting the doors which was an afterthought of mine. I highly recommend Fix it Freddy and I will continue to benefit from their fine craftsmanship.

I cannot thank Southwest Metal Roofing for their help, patience, cooperation, and compassion…read moreregarding the transfer of the roof's warranty from my name to the new homeowners after recently selling my house. I also want to take a minute to thank them again for the roof itself. I loved, loved, loved that roof and couldn't help but feel so damn proud of it every time I drove into my driveway and saw it. I mean, every time! And while I knew it would help decrease our utility bill, I didn't know exactly how dramatic of a change it would be. Thanks to Southwest Metal Roofing, I believe my average CPS Energy invoice was in the neighborhood of $150 a month -- for a two story, almost 2,500 square foot house. Un. Be. Lieve. A. Ble. The day the new homeowners had the inspection scheduled just happened to be the day our neighborhood was hit with a storm that produced massive hail. My kids and I were nearby and driving in it, as it produced pieces of ice falling from the sky that were literally the size of my fist. They sounded like indescribable explosions hitting my car (we were thankfully able to take shelter under the very last available spot at the local Sonic). My realtor informed me that everyone at the house that morning did, in fact, also suffer the hail's effects. But when it was all over done, and the inspector looked at our roof again, he turned to the buyers and their realtor emphasizing that we had "a damn good roof!" I don't doubt I'll be calling them again when I need roof estimates at any future home I move into. I not only had people stop by the house to compliment my roof and ask who did it, but any time anyone needed a recommendation I enthusiastically threw their name out there. I'll always be proud to have crossed paths with them, and feel lucky to have done business with Southwest Metal Roofing. They should just be glad I don't create their public relations or marketing campaigns. My brain would be stuck on the one word everyone's seemed to use to describe and compliment my roof .... dayyyummmm .... "The best damn roof you'll ever own!"
