This is another review that I have had to call in the help of my sister to do, unfortunately I am not the day spa type. I do my preening and pampering in the bathroom for 5 minutes every morning, this involves brushing my teeth and throwing in some Dax wax. But if I was to go to a Day Spa this would be the one I would choose. My sister gives it rave reviews and I trust her completely. Pure Day Spa is in Killinchy County Down, a little bit out of the way, but this has increased its popularity as it offers solitude to city slickers. They offer a whole range of treatments including massage, facials, manicures and pedicures. This place really is a getaway, you can spend a full day here that includes breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner. But you will not get a greasy fry here, its all salads and Brie. Pure Day Spa has won a whole host of awards for its treatments and they are completely deserved as they make their guests feel completely at ease. I had been looking forward to my £55 luxury platinum pedicure since it was gifted to me on valentines day.......... I was expecting to be pampered for the one and a half hours that had been payed for. My appointment time was changed twice within one week and I had a phone call one hour before saying could I get there straight away as they were busy! I was not happy as over booking is not my problem. When I arrived I felt that my presence was an inconvenience, I checked with the girl that I was receiving the luxury pedicure as she seemed to be rushing, she said yes. The very quick treatment was over in 45 minutes, I then was lead to the reception to sit by the door with wet toenails, which not surprisingly had smudged! I would not have been surprised if she had lead me straight out the door! What a disappointment, I was left feeling degraded rather then pampered. Total waste of time and money. I shall be spreading the word through social media and my friends of the dire service received today. read more
