This message explained the situation, including the effects of not receiving any response to our inquiries, and I asked him to contact my family member directly. I held off writing this review for a couple of MONTHS, just to give him a chance to respond to that last message. We have received no responses to any of our attempts. I understand that the COVID situation has turned the world upside down and a lot of people are seeking treatment, but all we were looking for was a simple reply. Specifically,…read moreI looked for a candidate that that takes my insurance for specific, very common issues that I was dealing with. My specific search was for in-person counseling only. There was no caveat or nothing that even indicated that they were supposed to give me a free 15-minute initial consultation on ZocDoc, as their direct profiles indicated. So I never received it. Then, after much seemingly unnecessary difficult ado, I was finally able to get an in-person appointment with a counselor. After the first session, I feel she made an i'm egregiously ill and erroneous judgmental of me. I afterwards arduously went back and forth constantly online and over the phone regarding the issue of getting our next appointment after their billing office was supposedly trying to verify my insurance. Then, after ELEVEN DAYS, without any indication previously, I get an email saying that they will no longer "have available in-person's sessions." I abhorently feel that they led me on and really disrespected me, and wasting my time. There was absolutely no indication that was given to me that my in-person sessions could be changed into Zoom virtual sessions at any time. And that's exactly what happened to me. I've completely lost the trust and respect that I had for this organization and its counselors. I feel they gave me untruths and led me to believe something, and now they want to bill me. And be careful signing their iron clad contracts!

I was able to connect with the clinic directly by phone and they were able to schedule an appointment with the doctor I wanted to work with, but it would be a telehealth visit. That was fine with me as I live an hour away from the clinic. I will have to have 1 in-person visit per year, so that's do-able. The doctor was very patient, kind, listened to my questions and concerns, and for the first time, I actually felt heard by a psychiatrist. I'm glad I found this practice and I'm looking forward to getting back to feeling better.
