I was back in my hometown visiting Schaumburg and went to my usual workout spot nearby, F45. While…read moreI was there, I noticed Club Pilates in the same shopping center and decided to check it out for something different. Right when I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, which immediately made the studio feel welcoming. What stood out even more was that the instructor who was teaching that day came over and introduced herself before class when she overheard it was my first time there. That personal touch made a great first impression and helped me feel comfortable going into the class. The class itself was definitely challenging, but in a different way than what I'm used to. I normally do F45 and Solidcore, which tend to be higher energy and faster paced. Club Pilates felt more controlled and low-impact, but it still worked muscles in a really effective way. It was a great change of pace and a good reminder that slower, more intentional movements can still deliver a tough workout. Keep in mind that these classes fill up well in advance so you need to sign up. As a new visitor I was fortunate that a random spot opened up, but it seems the classes are always packed. Overall, it was a really positive experience. The studio was welcoming, the instructor was thoughtful and engaging, and the workout was both challenging and refreshing. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm visiting Schaumburg!

They trick you because the movements seem so simple, so you think that you're totally capable of doing these things. Then your blood evacuates your limbs out of sheer terror, and your muscles are left on their own. The location isn't so hard to find because of the "1/2" listed in their address. I had a feeling it was an upstairs unit after seeing that. I came in very last minute, and scrambled to a spot right before they started. No introductions, no nonsense. You are here to work. I think there was a sign in the entrance that said as much. I can't say I wasn't warned. If you need more examples of how hard you work, YOU DO ZUMBA AS A WARM UP! You know, that hardcore aerobic workout that serves as a stand alone in normal workout studios? That's child's play at V Fusion! This review might be coming off as negative, and I don't mean for it to be. Just know what you're getting into before you go. This will WORK you. I was warned I was going to be sore for a few days. I could feel it immediately after my workout, and after my yoga experience, I had a feeling as much. I worked out on Sunday. On Wednesday, I still couldn't put a coat on without a struggle. I thought my shoulder muscles were torn. I had cool thigh muscle bulges above my knee. I felt like Steven friggin Segal. I have since told all my friends that this place will ensure a great workout and even better butt kicking. I plan to go back for sure. Let's just hope I don't die.

When I go to V Fusion I know my muscles will be pushed to feel the burn, stretched to maintain flexibility and balanced in very creative and engaging ways. Even after working out at Fusion for 4 years I am still learning ways to improve my posture, my core continues to get stronger and my muscles are getting more and more lengthened and defined. It's a remarkable place, in a humble yet sunny studio on State Street in Geneva. And unlike many workout places, there are many windows with natural light streaming in, and fresh air: V Fusion is a friendly atmosphere with skilled instructors who care about each and every participant regardless of their fitness level.

I was told since I regularly work out I probably wouldn't enjoy it, and was offered to sign up for a more challenging class. Mind you, I signed up a month in advance...there was no need to have this conversation the morning of when I'd already planned to be there. They then began asking what membership I would want before I even had a chance to try it out. Needless to say I was already agitated with them when I got there. Then, I signed up with a friend and there was a misunderstanding with her signup. The girl at the front desk was not accommodating at all-and said it would take too long for my friend to answer their basic questions and sign the waiver (I was able to do all this in less than 10 minutes over the phone, and we arrived early for class-the previous class hadn't even let out yet. In full transparency, it seemed like the girl at the front desk just didn't want to help us). If you're looking for a reformer Pilates experience, maybe try somewhere else.

I purchased four sessions in a 30 day time period. Signing up for classes is easy on the app. And you get reminders. It is easy to reschedule and as long as you reschedule in the allotted time, there is no penalty. The classes do fill up pretty quick. There are a few instructors and all are good. What I love about Pilates is that each class is different. And for me very challenging at times. Many of the exercises use other equipment at your station. The place is very clean. Everyone is nice and it is a comfortable vibe. There is a mix of ages and I have seen some men in class too. I wish I had started sooner in my life! I love how I feel after a class.
