She said Dr. Howarth would be in shortly. I waited about 10/15mins. Dr. Howarth finally came in. He was just as nice as always. We talked about how I was feeling fatigued, the pain in the groin area and the muscle spasms I have at night. We also discussed the physical therapy and how that was going. Let me know to get me some magnesium to help with what I got going on. I'm satisfied with the surgery and everything that has happened so far. So no complaints on my part. I do recommend him to family and friends. I got a chance to see Taneisha on my way out. She's one of the bestest. My wife got so ill, I had to take her to the emergency room. The emergency room doctor; Dr. Crawford; ran tests and indicated the joint looked infected. He called in the standby surgeon to open the wound, clean it out and do a revision (Replace the socket lining and the ball. My wife had to spend five days in St. Francis hospital recovering and was placed on infusion treatments for six weeks after discharge. She just completed the forth week. This has been a nightmare for Suzanne and I. We don't know what the outcome will be. Type of care was poor. Quality was poor. Office experience gave us the impression that the staff could careless. If I had not taken her to the ER and waited until the delayed post OP follow up, the infection could have gone into her blood stream and infected her whole body. This is what the nurse who helped with the procedure that confirmed the infected hip.

However, The Man had a knee reconstruction almost a year ago. It was an amazing surgery and recovery and process to work with this Dr. The knee has healed fabulously. Before PT with Kristen, I needed my husband's help to get out of the car or walk without possibly collapsing because of the pain. I just finished another 8 weeks of PT with Kristin for my upper back/neck area, and once again I'm convinced she's the best Physical Therapist I've ever had, and I've had many others during my 73 years on earth. She lets me work really hard, but is careful to insure I don't get hurt. She's always giving me different and creative exercises so I've never been bored. She finds ways to adapt the PT she provides with her to the PT I do at home. She always gives me copies of and instructions for my home exercises. I also appreciate how honest Kristen has always been with me. You will be greatly blessed if Kristen is your Physical Therapist! I started treatment at APPT and all was going well until an insurance hiccup occurred. Because I…read moremoved recently, and mistakenly thought that my insurance bills were being paid through autopay, my Medicare insurance lapsed. I was hoping that I could get my insurance reinstated quickly but it has taken a matter of months. I was notified by APPT that I owed them some money which I paid yesterday. The amount I owed was $363. After I paid my bill I inquired how many sessions that was for and was told it was just one session. That seemed excessive to me and, on further inquiry, I learned that it was the "insurance" price. The non-insurance price is $110. When I called back today and spoke to Candy she said that there was nothing that could be done. She'd spoken to her colleague who refused to give me the lower price. It seems to me that they could have made a small concession and given me the lower rate as an act of kindness and good customer service, but they refused. When I told Candy that she'd just lost a patient, as a result of that decision, she didn't seem to care at all.
