My friend and I have both been extremely happy with the services we have received. One of the best things about coming here is their friendly staff. Mandy, Heather, and Vanessa are some of the sweetest and most caring people people you will find in a doctors office. They're so friendly and really make you feel welcome and comfortable. It's clear they care and really enjoy their job. I don't think there's a better place in the Springs to get the treatment you need. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot. You won't be disappointed!

So I went to the other desk, which was in a completely separate office space. I checked in then sat and waited 30mins past my appointment time, then finally got called back to a room where they asked for a urine sample (which was for a drug test which wasn't told to me up front). After I gave a sample they sat me down with a technician in a room with other patients and proceeded to ask me my medical information in front of everyone! HIPPA violation much? Then I was placed in an exam room, where a doctor other than Bissell came in and talked about a plan for PM. I initially booked future appointments but ended up cancelling bc as I went through my day, my gut said request a new care manager. Good thing, because I received a bill that was clearly not billed through the VA/TRIWEST. What a disaster of a place!!! Go elsewhere.

I just spent the last 8 months here (at least it felt like it). I was recovering from a car…read moreaccident and needed additional treatment so I was referred by my chiropractor. I've heard great things about Orthopedic Rehab in general- they have a lot of locations- this location is really good. My physical therapist was Micah. He is very good. He also does dry needling and I felt like he did very well with that- he explained everything and normalized the process and was in tune and sensitive with how I was handling it. Micah is smart and knows what he is doing. You spend some time with your physical therapist and then have techs and assistants who walk you through your exercises and treatments. Overall I appreciated each one who worked with me. One tech in particular seemed distant and I felt like he shamed me when I arrived at the wrong time for an appointment (I'm not convinced that was my fault) and that really bothered me. But the people working are personable, caring and knowledgable. Their equipment is good and I enjoyed observing the interactions with other patients and among the team. There are TV's in the rehab area and I got a real kick out of how into The Price Is Right the staff seemed each time I was there. :) I had frustrations with scheduling. I think about 30% of the time (and I went A LOT and for A LONG TIME) there were mistakes made with my scheduling- either the day, time, which treatment I was having, or even the therapist I was seeing. I think improvements need to be made in their scheduling system. The front desk staff, especially more recently, are warm and on top of things. This office has recently added services for women's health which I think is awesome. They don't take my insurance (Aetna) but they were fair in their prices which I respected. The owner/manager of this location, Chad, is extremely personable and seems like a good leader. There were some times I felt like the staff were giving up on me, indifferent to me, distracted or maybe even a little uncommitted. I think that could have been because I was a patient longer than most other people, and maybe my own discouragement that I wasn't getting enough better rubbed off on them. Overall, though, my experience was positive and I will highly recommend this location of Orthopedic Rehab.

I have two insurance policies (Blue and Medicare), and I was charged $524 for a 5-minute injection of Cortisone. Stunned by so high a bill for so easy a service (Cortisone is that expensive?), but the lack of service, the lack of telling me what the price of care would be, and taking two insurance cards but only using one just seems like a ripoff. All they could tell me is why I really need surgery, and all they did is hustle me for more money when all I needed in 5 years was a simple cortisone shot in my finger. These folks have all this Olympic stuff all over their waiting rooms (I had plenty of time to look at all of them in the half hour I waited, even coming early), and it looks like they are trying to infer that they provide coverage to Olympic Teams, so they are going to take care of you, too. DO NOT BELEIVE THEM! I would rather get a hot overdose in an alley downtown than to deal with this people--taking advantage of a 70-year-old patient. their help line was totally worthless, and they hung up on me. The worst medical treatment I have received in my short life. You would be best to avoid them. Captain Ahab in Moby Dick had better orthopedic care. --RBauer, Colorado Springs

I was hoping that I could get my insurance reinstated quickly but it has taken a matter of months. I was notified by APPT that I owed them some money which I paid yesterday. The amount I owed was $363. After I paid my bill I inquired how many sessions that was for and was told it was just one session. That seemed excessive to me and, on further inquiry, I learned that it was the "insurance" price. The non-insurance price is $110. When I called back today and spoke to Candy she said that there was nothing that could be done. She'd spoken to her colleague who refused to give me the lower price. It seems to me that they could have made a small concession and given me the lower rate as an act of kindness and good customer service, but they refused. When I told Candy that she'd just lost a patient, as a result of that decision, she didn't seem to care at all.

In particular, I evaluated the backgrounds of their staff in their Parkinson's Decease facility here, (now on Elkton Dr.). After careful consideration, I chose them as potentially the best. Now, after about 4 months in treatment, I strongly endorse my therapists and their PD center, without any qualifications. My therapists are Danielle Spivey, Physical Therapist, and Rachel Johnson, Speech Therapist. They are highly knowable, remarkably skilled, deeply caring, and effective. They understand and treat not only physical effects of PD, but also address underlying neurological and psychological aspects. Danielle and Rachel both use a holistic approach described on this PD center's website. They will encourage and challenge you physically and mentally, to improve your condition. You will do physical and voice exercises, laugh, and enjoy performing during each session. I hate missing one. Avoid slipping into despair, as so many with PD do. Improve and enjoy your quality of life.
