Good way to increase your vocabulary if you're like me and speak like a kindergartner. The anchors consist of one middle-aged lady, one older man, and a young man whose a newbie. I giggle every time the newbie speaks because you can see his eyes move trying to read the teleprompter! To be honest, I don't watch this unless I'm with my mom. She translates the big words and we get into discussions that usually ends up me learning something new. Plus, it's nice to hear about Cambodian news without the outsider's POV.

I don't think our stock are worth anything as PUNCH is not on the NASDAC as publicly traded company. The SEC ultimately took Joseph Collins to federal court seeking $1.6 million judgment that included the funds the company had raised, plus penalties and interest. Despite facing the full force and weight of the federal government, Joseph did not back down. He fought the charges for years, spending thousands on legal fees. But by last spring, he ran out of money. As a result, he lost his legal representation. The SEC quickly moved to have the case terminated with a summary judgment that would have given the government a quick win without a trial. Without counsel, Joseph had little recourse. By December 2023, the judge in the case was prepared to rule in favor of the SEC, a move that would have bankrupted Joseph and his company with no input from Punch TV's investors regarding the best use of their investment. At the 11th hour, thanks to the generosity of ICAN donors and the pro bono support of ICAN's network of legal partners, ICAN was able to step in and halt the SEC steamroller. It wasn't that it had the largest screen, but the dial was so…read moresatisfying to turn--I remember the clicking sound and exactly how much tension was required to change the channel--and while most other people's TVs were surrounded by annoying wood cabinets with speakers that had long since stopped working properly, our TV looked relatively modern even in 1988, when TVs didn't come with dials anymore. My parents held on to that TV until the late '90s, but we had gotten cable when I was in first grade, so the wonderful dial was stuck at channel 3 for many many years, although I would sometimes change it just for old times' sake. This is a review of KOCE, however, so why am I talking about an old TV? Well, remember how difficult it was to get to the higher channels on old TVs? You had to change the main dial to the auxiliary setting, and then you had to turn the second dial to the correct station. That was always really annoying, especially when I wanted to watch Sesame Street, which was on channel 28. I never minded having to go all the way up to channel 50 for KOCE, however. Why? Well, mainly because I thought this channel was so cool. It also carried Sesame Street, but there was so much more. There were weird opera shows and strange acting shows and weird one-man-talking shows. I remember a particular guy with ghost-white hair, but I don't remember what the show was. I think this is even the station that used to carry the Wally George Show, which I loved when I was a kid for some reason. (Don't worry; I'm not that stupid anymore.) I also felt kind of special that we got two PBS stations at our house. I don't think other people in L.A. County got KOCE, but I might be wrong.

I've been watching since I was a kid and I love the channel. But when they start pushing that right wing crap I'm not in for it. And sometimes when I turn the channel when they play those commercials I don't come back. Sam was falling all over that Ashleigh Banfield. What a great person she is it was pretty Pathetic. I always considered KTLA the all American channel however the support of this other narrative is beyond the pale. It shows you don't care about your listeners at all. Please stop taking their advertising money. It shows your character. And it lets me you know where your priorities are. Money not your listeners and certainly not America!
