Yelp Review 2026 #107:…read more I enjoy going to Migros and Coop while in Switzerland. They have groceries, pharmacy items and ready-to-eat food. Most tourists come here to get food at the fraction of the cost from eating at restaurants. I was getting tired of eating Swiss food so, I went here since I know they have pretty much everything. Sandwiches, deli meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, fruit cups, fruit bowls, sushi, pastries (both sweet and savory), pizza, salads, octopus salad, shrimps, salmon tartare, Mediterranean food, Middle Eastern food, chicken breast, samosas. Pastas you can reheat. It's also a good place to get some Swiss snacks, drinks, protein bars and ice cream. I grabbed sushi, salad and chicken breast. You do have to pay for utensils. The bad: the cashier was rude and was rushing us at the self-checkout counter - nobody needs your help, nobody needs your attitude. Like if you're bored and there's nobody in line, go make yourself useful and do something else. The rice on the sushi was a lot and it was dry which made it worse. The fish was thinly sliced. I tossed half of the rice.

At 8 a.m., the store is very busy, and it has a fresh bakery section where I see a lot of passengers grab their breakfast, probably for the train ride. They have fresh produce and basic grocery items. Very good for a train station store.

The only sad thing is no weekend service is available. Thank you for taking the time to explain your delicious noodles and sharing your advice on the tofu pudding for dessert. #1 Yelp rated Chinese restaurant in Lucerne -of course there is only 3 Chinese restaurants listed…read morein Yelp in this Swiss city. Place specializes in spicy hot noodle soups. However, it was in the 80s, and I wasn't about to eat soup on a hot day. Our CHF22 chicken dish came with spicy chili chicken, with ear mushrooms and rice. As in most Swiss restaurant, dish comes with rice, but only half a small bowl for the two of us. The chicken was fresh and fell off the bone, using a chopstick in each hand to peel off. Excellent dish, but could use more white rice. Seven steamed shrimp dumplings came with our CHF18 shrimp dumpling dish. Standard presentation in a steamed bamboo pot, with the shrimp tasty and not rubbery. Had to pay CHF4, or $4.28, for two glasses of tap water. Will remember next time to bring my own water to guzzle down prior to stepping into a restaurant in Switzerland. Authentic Chinese food served here. How do I know it's authentic? Any time they serve meat dishes with the bones still in them, in a sauce, it's authentic, as Americans don't want to mess around with bones in sauces. Also, only Chinese eating here.
