We LOVED this place!
We'd been watching it being built for a while, so we were really excited to finally check it out - and it did not disappoint! It's clear how much time, effort, and thought they've put into creating this place, and they've done such a fantastic job.
A few helpful things we learned during our visit:
There is an admission fee, which includes unlimited access to the hayrides, giant slides, bounce house, petting zoo, barrel rides, and mazes. However, from what I understand, you can also walk around without purchasing a wristband if you just want to buy pumpkins, grab some food, or check things out. We found the wristband very worth it though.
Pony rides and the apple cannon are an additional charge.
We decided to try the apple cannon, and it was SO much fun! I don't know why, but there's something incredibly satisfying about pushing a button and watching a lumpy apple (which I'm pretty sure is actually a quince ) shoot out of a giant military-style cannon and smash into plates, bottles, cars, and more. Haha! Definitely worth doing!
We skipped the pony rides this time, but we'll absolutely be back for those. One thing I thought was really cool is that they actually take the ponies on a walk through the pumpkin patch rather than just having them go around in a few small circles. It looked like a really fun experience!
The kids had an absolute blast on the giant slides. They were a little dirty, but honestly, our kids couldn't have cared less. They spent quite a while going down both slides and also had a surprisingly great time playing in the corn "sandbox." Seriously, they could have stayed in that thing forever!
We also loved meeting all the animals, especially the super friendly donkey and pig. So cute!
Another highlight was the tractor hayride. The guy driving (who I'm pretty sure is the owner) made it such a fun experience! He shared a story about Pumpkin Jack and Apple Chet (I might have that name wrong), and there were fun Halloween decorations set up along the route to go along with the story. He also told us a bit about the property and its history, which we really enjoyed. It was much more than just a ride around the farm!
They also have food available on-site, which was really good and reasonably priced. There's even a cute little gift shop featuring local products, which was a nice touch!
We didn't make it into the larger corn maze or try the slime station this time, but both looked like a lot of fun. There really is so much to do here, and we easily could have spent even more time exploring.
We'll definitely be back, especially since they mentioned they already have some exciting plans for Christmas!
We're SO happy to have a place like this so close to home. It's such a wonderful addition to our community, and you can really tell how much heart has gone into creating it.
I have a feeling this is going to become a regular family tradition for us, and it's absolutely a place we'll be recommending to everyone! read more
