Pulse / Ritzy / Jumpin Jak's - three clubs in one building. How could you go wrong? Well, you can charge people a lot to get in - £7 if I remember correctly - then have expensive drinks. Rude staff and a pikey customer base would help too. The top floor is Pulse which plays R n B and is where most of the slappers go. I was chatted up in here by a mental girl telling me about how she'd been to a psychic who said her Gran was going to die soon and I had to run away when she turned to speak to her friends. The middle floor is Ritzy and plays current chart based dance rubbish. This is where the lads in Ben Sherman and Hackett shirts go and look threatening at people who walk near them. The ground floor is Jumpin' Jaks, which plays rock n roll & wedding disco music. This could be fun, except it's where the 50 year old slags go and grab young men's asses. The floors are sticky too. Last time I tried to go, one of our party was told by the bouncer that he was too drunk to come in (not sure how he arrived at this conclusion as my friend was not acting any differently to the others.) Rather than argue with the doorman we thought fair enough and went to leave. The two others in the group had already paid and were about to head in though. We ended up having to wait for fifteen minutes to make the dimwitted manager understand that they'd paid but hadn't actually been in. It's pretty pricey nowadays, while other clubs and bars in lincoln have lowered prices to attract money conscious people hit by the credit crunch, ritzys only did this for a few months.I used to go about 3 times a week when it was cheap. The above opinion is right. The old hags are all on the bottom floor looking depressed about failed marriages, kids and old age. The wannabe tough guys are on the middle floor hoping to pick up whilst never moving too far from the outskirts of the room and the blacks and the fat women seeking black penis are on the top floor. The middle floor has the best looking women and generally it's where people naturally flow to because that floor is the one that is usually open on weekdays so people are kind of used to it Some of the bouncers act like arseholes for no reason too. I dont really go there much anymore. Also the club is fairly empty in summer months, the rest of the year it's pretty packed. I prefer to go to lloyds bar on the brayford nowadays. read more

Really good if thats the sort of music you are into go with friends though as some of hte people that go can be a bit off.. but all in all good night especially JJ's Great place, shame about some of the people :-) read more

Last year I thought that Ritzy's was an over priced mess. There seemed to be alot of dodgy people going there. This year they have turned it around for the better most nights. There is still no point going on weekends. The best nights are Tuesdays and Wednesdays with 1 pound entry and 1 pound drinks. Overall not a bad place any more. read more
