I mean, THE place to go. The trainers/owners are some of the strongest people in the world (literally), and they really know what they're talking about, not just from reading a book, but from experience (lots of it). One of the best places to go to if you're serious about Strongman/Strongwoman competitions or skills. There is no better place to go in Ventura/LA county than this, in my opinion. He never used any of them. The facility is spacious, with a few defined workout areas. There are plenty of machines, dumbbells, and other equipment to suit different workout needs. Small-group classes and personal training are also available during the day based on the Black Card membership description. The schedule is available on the app. The Thousand Oaks location is pretty light in the evening, which is when we usually go. The app also shows the gym's current traffic, which is convenient. Staff is usually polite and pleasant, although we have minimal interaction since check-in is through the app. The restroom could use more cleaning. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated janitor or if it's handled by employees, but either way, a more consistent cleaning schedule would help. One tip for people who like to clean their equipment before using it: you might want to bring your own cleaning wipes. They provide spray bottles and cleaning paper, which is a little messy for me. I gained strength and confidence, while losing inches off my body. My favorite part of the 60 day challenge was the supportive community of other participants. It looked like fluffy dogs had been the participants of the class before the one I took - there was hair everywhere! From the straps to the jump board to the floor and in the middle of the reformer. I was given an additional comp class to try the studio out which they said was "regularly cleaned." At my next visit it wasn't as bad yet there was still much more hair than I would like- which is virtually none (I prefer not to lay in someone else hair while I'm working out and getting sweaty) Several months pass and I get a call from someone at the studio inviting me for another class. Unfortunately, I missed the class YET I received an email stating I get a do-over* literally a whole email like BUMMER you missed the class- not to worry you get a do-over. When I responded to the email to schedule my do-over I was then told I had received "too many comp classes," AFTER THEY INITIALLY REACHED OUT TO ME. It's a tiny studio and honestly not ran properly, they can't even keep track of their marketing and promotional efforts! Don't waste your time! Try STRNG Pilates down the street, they are cleaner and the staff is wayyyyyy NICER than the staff at Wunda Westlake so disappointing it's a cute space in a really good location and has potential just needs better management!

I started going here because of a Groupon I got. I must say, I didn't know what to expect. You have to come here with an opened mind and go at your own pace when you first start. They don't baby you here, you are in it for the long haul. All the classes are an hour and there are no breaks, so break when you feel you need to. The music is upbeat and fast! They have Sculpting, Boot Camp, and some great cardio classes. I go about two days a week and can't wait to see results. The kickboxing class is similar to the 24 hour fitness TKB class with a better instructor with crazy energy, better music, and the lighting was club - like. It was kind of dark. It was hard to hear so I got kind of lost with some of the moves. He does not use a mic! Kickboxing was straight cardio. Non-stop! I got a little tired towards the end because I haven't worked out in 3 weeks due to a cold, traveling and other holiday events. Thankfully I survived. This would be a perfect class for men to meet women because there were a ton of women and 1 other male student. I think this is a good class. I can't compare this to my boxing class because it's totally different. Personally I prefer the mitts and glove work versus kicking and punching the air. I like partner work. This class is good for individuals. If I were a resident of the area, I'd definitely pick this over the 24 hour fitness or cross fit.

Many classes started late because of this, and there was a lot of gossip during workouts. On top of that, the coaching itself often felt unorganized, and at times it seemed like they didn't fully know what they were doing. When I first signed up, I was sold on the idea that this gym was a one-stop place for fitness and health, including nutritional guidance and recipes. However, when I asked about nutrition support, I was brushed off and never received the help that was advertised. I do think this gym has potential, but it really needs more consistent, professional, and knowledgeable coaches to make it a better experience overall.
