I wanted a festive holiday centerpiece to take to my mother this week. Every year I usually go on-line and pick out a table centerpiece from FTD, 1-800 Flowers, Teleflora, etc. And, every year Mom gets a beautiful centerpiece from local florists like Mary's Flowers, Bartlett Florist, Premier, A Perfect Bloom, etc. I understand they may not have the exact lowers, accents, vases etc,. but, Mom always received a similar centerpiece that is as beautiful as the one I ordered. This week I picked out a beautiful tree shaped centerpiece from Teleflora and sent one to my work so I can take this to Mom(She can not hear the door, and I did not want it left in the elements outside). You can see my receipt with a photo of what I ordered, and the photo of the centerpiece Pugh's sent me. This is what a $100 comparable arrangement looks like from Pugh's. I tried to call when this arrived and could not get through to someone until the next day. The person who I spoke with identified the arrangement I ordered as the Luxe Winter Tree and told me they did not have a square gold vase and the arrangement they sent is comparable in quality and value to the arrangement with the 6 roses, 3 mums and 3 snapdragons. There is a switch on the wood box that does not work. I texted this picture to the lady I was talking to at Pugh's. She asked why did I put a ruler next to it. I asked her to send someone to get this, it is embarrassing. I will not say her name but she said she would reach out to Tim Pugh. She called back and left a VM saying Tim Pugh said I would need to call Teleflora. Tim Pugh said Teleflora gave Pugh's the option to substitute the arrangement with a "similar (arrangement) so we did it the best way with the products that we have so it would be something that you... have to call them directly. " If I sent this to another family member who did not think I would see this, they would be too polite to say anything. It is obvious Pugh's was counting on that. How can you say this is similar? It is not Teleflora's fault I received this arrangement. If Pugh's could not (or would not) recreate or substitute any 3rd party floral arrangement purchase, they should have declined the order. This is so unprofessional. I can go to Kroger and do better under $20 for what Pugh's delivered. read more

I don't understand how this place can still call itself a florist. I have been asking my husband to stop ordering from Pughs because of their WAY overpriced and mediocre bordering on just bad quality. They don't care about actually putting together the "bouquets" and just throw them together. I just got a $100 "bouquet" delivered that looks terrible. I just once again asked my husband to please stop using Pughs. Which upset me to have to bring up to him again because he tried so hard, however year after year, Pughs lets us down. UPDATE : the owner ended up contacting me through messages stating they wanted to make it right and make a replacement bouquet. Stated I needed to call them. I told them I won't be calling them but they can replace the bouquet if they'd like and I'd be able to supply all the info they needed through the messages and they read the message and ignored me afterwards hahahaha. What a business. Don't waste peoples time if you're just going to ignore them afterwards. Sad. read more

I was VERY happy with Puge's until i had a very bad experience with them. I order all the flowers for my office for our manager's birthday, anniversaries, etc. If they take a look at my account, i spend hundreds of dollars per month on flowers. At Mother's Day i ordered 300 carnations. Three different colors, 100 of each. This was for the ladies at our church. I was quoted a bulk price of somewhere around $170 and paid for them over the phone that day. Two days before Mother's Day, they called and said that they had quoted the wrong price, and it would be $900. That's $3.00 per stem for carnations. I told them that I couldn't do that. I told them that they could just cancel my order and refund my money. I have yet to get my refund. I was very disappointed in the service since I order so many arrangements from them AND since this wasn't my fault. Although the lady on the phone was very nice, they could have honored the quoted AND paid for price. I was left without flowers for the ladies at church for Mother's Day without my refund and no apology. I wanted to support a local florist but i no longer order my flowers from Pugh's. I instead just order them from FTD. :( UPDATE: The owner, Tim Pugh, called me not an hour after this was posted and he was very nice and apologized for the way things were handled. I had a terrible experience at Pugh's Flowers and feel compelled to share. I went in on 11/12 to buy a flower arrangement for my boss's birthday and did a split payment: $60 in cash and $14.59 on my debit card. When I checked my bank account the next morning, I saw that Pugh's credited my account twice for $14.59 ($29.18 total) after I left the store on 11/12. To make matters worse, on 11/13, my card was also charged again for $34.29. I called immediately around 8 AM to address this issue, only to hear a woman in the background yelling that she didn't know what was going on with the system. She eventually came back on the line, told me someone would call me later that day, and left it at that. Noon rolled around with no call, so I checked my account again--only to see I'd been charged again for $34.29! When I went in to pick up the arrangement around 1 PM, I tried discussing this with the front desk. A woman named Kristen came out with a rude attitude, dismissing me by saying, "I told you someone would call you." I explained that I had been charged again since our last conversation, but she insisted I wait for a call "that day." After waiting until 4 PM with no response, I called again, only to be told that the only person who could help was Mrs. Pugh, the bookkeeper--who was in the hospital. The staff then condescendingly told me to "be patient." I've never had a company make unauthorized charges and credits on my account, only to demand patience from me as they mishandle my money! I was eventually told to email the floral manager, Grayson. When I received no response by the end of the day, I contacted my bank to dispute the charges. Grayson finally emailed back the next day, explaining that his grandmother (the only bookkeeper) was in the hospital, this was his first time hearing about the issue, and since I'd disputed the charges, he wouldn't be doing anything further. He offered a generic apology for the "inconvenience." This experience was an absolute nightmare. How does a company with multiple locations only have one person handling payroll and billing issues? I will never visit this location again and will strongly advise others to avoid it. Their handling of customer issues is unacceptable, and their attitude only adds to the frustration. read more

Couldn't be more unhapppy with Pugh's. In fairness, I know there are different locations, and the first one I called (901) 363-6233/405-6672 were friendly and immediately tried to resolve the problem of having sent the wrong bouquet to my mother on mother's day. They said they'd give me a 50% refund. But then my mother found a dead flower in the bouquet. I called again to request a full refund. However, I called (901) 682-2501 and recieved a totally different kind of treatment. I said to them that I was appalled that in my attempt to repair my relationship with my mother, that I would send her flowers on mother's day that were not only the wrong bouquet, but also had a dead flower in it. The associate I spoke with, "Karen," answered rudely, "well you still got flowers" and "you're still getting a 50% refund" and didn't care a lick about the message that a dead flower given to a mother on mother's day could symbolize. I actually had to convince her that this is extremely poor service on all fronts, that I did not pay $50-something for this bouquet or for a dead flower, and had to demand a 100% refund. She finally said that Pugh's will give me the full refund. I was afraid that even though Karen said this, that she would ignore the situation. So I let the associate I spoke with initially know, and she apologized and has said she'll make sure it's sorted. That's good customer service, unlike Karen! read more

On February 9th, we ordered and paid for two funeral sprays and six boutonnières for our 96 years old World War II father's funeral. He died of COVID-19. They did not deliver the boutonnières, which prevented daddy's grandsons and great grandsons from removing them and placing them on the coffin. On February11th I called Pugh's several times but they did not return my calls. I went into Pughs to get a refund. They issued a refund for the boutonnières but not the taxes, and had to reissue the credit. Today is the 8th day and I have still not received my credit. It seems they were more focused on their Valentines order than taking care of funeral customers. My family will never order from Pughs again. After talking to Visa, they advised us to go to the vendor to resolve the credit, which we did. Pughs told us to wait a week to see if it goes through. I became upset and didn't act real nice. The owner came out and we explained our situation. He very disrespectfully said they were sorry and what did we want him to do, "go out and wash your car." He told his employee to give us a cash refund. I told him I had given him a bad review on Yelp and he told them not to give us a cash refund. However, they did give us a refund, shorting us $5.52, which we eventually got. Very bad customer service. They said they were stressed out because of Valentines and the ice Strom. We lost my grandfather back in August this year. He was 92, and died after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was my hero. We went to Pugh's to pick out a floral arrangement for the service. We were met with by an incredibly rude blonde woman working behind the counter. There was one other person in there, so we walked up to the counter for service. We told the woman why we were there, and she treated it like a business transaction. No sympathy, compassion, or empathy. We had JUST come from the funeral home making arrangements, and were met with this. Then, after giving us the form for the card, she rudely says "I need you to fill that out over there so I can help this customer". Excuse me?? So we fill out the card, hand it to the woman, and she asks when is the service and what is the name. We give her the date, and the name Cecil Clark. She put the wrong date down and we had to correct her, and she misspelled his name TWICE. It was written down for her, and she misspelled it!! My mom (the deceased's daughter) was in tears as she was trying to get this arrangement ordered. Finally the woman asked for one of the other ladies to come in from the back and help, and that was a fine experience. But let's be honest, this is a business that is helping people in a time of grief. I would expect a little more kindness and compassion. I will NEVER recommend Pugh's again. Use Le Fleur instead, much prettier and fresher looking bouquets. read more

I called yesterday to have them deliver flowers for my anniversary today. 32 years we've been married and this was the first time we were not together on our special day. I wish i could give 0 or 0.5 a star I called up here the day before (Friday) to make sure i could get 7 long stem roses, i told them i would pick them up at 3pm tomorrow (Saturday--store hours are listed at 8am-4pm on google, yelp, and anywhere else you'd like to look). Spoke to Ann, at the Bartlett location who was super nice and happy to accompany us in sending the arrangement to the funeral home for the service. Pugh's Flowers even called to inform us it had been delivered & left voice mail for us the morning of the funeral. Will definitely keep this location in mind in the future. I can't even begin without being unprofessional so In going to be professional as possible on how disrespected I was on the phone by one of the elder women who called me at 12:40 pm in the afternoon to let me know that my payment for my flowers for my mother on Valentine's day. I was rudely greeted on the phone, after a while she explained to me the problem of my payment not going through on my card, I denied at first but also even to the point to see her point through. I checked on the app and my noted and noted that yet indeed the payment for my flowers went through on Valentine's day. Even the delivery woman, who was extremely sweet to me told me my payment was cleared for delivery as such things should. But unfortunately not that wasn't the case, so the receptionist began asking me if I could pay for them again which I told her she wouldn't get the payment again until tomorrow because that's when I get paid, she kept saying that she couldn't understand or could understand why I couldn't make a payment today at all in the most judgment tone ever. So I told her well since my payment was through capital one, it's would probably be something on her end and she completely denied it was her end. So I nicely ended the phone call from the rude receptionist and called capital one, and after 20 minutes of investigation it was shown it was completely reimbursed to me by the capital one company due to a suspicion of fraudulent payments. After all of that to whenever my money is reimbursed back to me I will no longer associated my business with pughs flowers by the amount of rudness I experienced over the phone. I spared, all personal feelings by not calling corporate because from experience nothing is resolved after. So im just gonna write and under review on why I will never come back to this flourish establishment ever again and will be giving my free rose coupon to someone who really wants it and needs it. Husband sent arrangement for Valentines and they were delivered early morning. Totally disappointed with the quality of the lilies....they should never have left the store. My husband called and was told by Karen they would give him a $20 credit. Poor business decision and they lost a steady customer. Two stars due to how gorgeous the first Arrangement was that I purchased. The first time I went in there was amazing customer service. It was painless and just an easy process. So I opted to go back since my daughter loves flowers and have another arrangement made. We called ahead of time and had everything set up to have two arrangements made. When we got there the woman behind the counter was instantly rude. She easily could have just said, let me see who you talked to. Instead of the long process of, we don't do that here, nobody talked to me. She brought out another woman who tried to rectify the situation and it just wasn't recoverable due to the poor customer service of the woman behind the counter. In one failed swoop this woman ruined my daughter's birthday surprise. When I asked for a number to speak to the owner she told me she was sorry I felt the way I did with a smile on her face. We just moved to this area and loved this shop because of our first experience. Now due to this they lost out on two arrangements, and doing our wedding flowers. My daughter bought flowers to send to her best friend's mom. Her friend passed away in January and this was the mom's first Mother's Day without her. Ordered Valentines flowers for wife. Oddly, my wife does not like roses. When I made the order for flowers, I told them NO ROSES , that was the reason I left last florist, they kept sending roses in the arrangements. They promised flowers to be delivered by 4:00 pm. Flowers were delivered at 5:06, wife had already left her work. When she went back to work next morning, there were some dying flowers, along with a rose in the arrangement. Wife returned them.
