I was raised going to this store and this specific location. Upon arriving to browse while waiting…read moreto meet up with friends for coffee, we noticed a big sign stating that they have experienced a lot of theft recently and no large purses or backpacks were allowed. Luckily my friend and I had smaller bags so we proceeded to shop around. Not 10 minutes into looking we noticed 2 workers constantly asking us if we needed help and hovering over each section we walked through. We could hear two of the ladies whispering while side eyeing us as if we were acting suspicious. Both my friend and I were wearing our weekend attire, slouchy and comfy clothes and we both have a lot of tattoos. So it felt like we were being stereotyped because we stood out as different. It made us both really uncomfortable and yet I still spent $40 on the items I selected. I understand having to be cautious of your customers but this experience made us very uncomfortable. Do better. With all of your customers. Please don't stereotype anyone.

Backstory, my husband and I came from Dallas to attend my best friends graduation ceremony. Her boyfriend forgot flowers! My husband and I were on a mission! Most floral stops in the area either had only bright bold flowers or premade "great value" flowers. We came across Tipton & Hurst online. This place was everything we could ask for! We went to the floral fridge and picked out our flowers! We had assistance the whole way! The florist was able to arrange the bouquet in 20 mins and got us out the door in time to pick up my best friends parents from the airport! I really wished we have something like this in Dallas. If I could I would go here every week just to make myself a beautiful bouquet. Fresh flowers and a very beautiful selection! I love everyone that worked there! Everyone I spoke to were very sweet, graceful, and has a genuine personality. Which makes this place even more special!

It is a GREAT used bookstore and would be so in any city. + Handsome--hardwood floors and copious natural light + Four floors of stock + Tidy and well organized + Exceptional variety of subjects and genres + All books in good condition or better (most better) + Staggeringly low prices (to a Chicagoan) + LPs and DVDs Plus, they are operated by the Central Arkansas Library System, so I hope and assume that proceeds from the store benefit the libraries, which is always awesome. On top of all that, I finally found a book here for which I had been searching through dozens of bookstores in several cities for over a year. And although I would have happily taken a shabby paperback, what I found was a boxed, cloth-bound Library of America edition, including several of the author's other works--FOR ONLY SIX DOLLARS! I went I to store to get a phone charger and I was paying with a card I only keep a limited amount…read moreof money on since it is a travel card. I had $20 on the card and it said it was approved and then the cashier's computer froze and she said it did not go through and I had to do it again and then it was denied as I knew it would because of the limited amount. They said I should call the bank because their system should the first transaction did not go through. I called the bank and it was a 30 minute hold so I called my husband who was in New York and has him go to the bank and they confirmed it did go through the first time and he transferred more money to the account. The bank said the store would have to reverse it. The store said they could not do it and that registers had been doing that all day. So why did she treat me like I was lying and why did they make me pay twice and why was that the only register open when there was another one not being used. How many people did they double charge if she said it had been doing that all day. I have never been treated so poorly in my whole life and I am 60 years
