Drastically improved my skills - worth every penny! Last month I took the Adobe Premiere Pro Bootcamp with Kristian Gabriel - AMAZING CLASS! Highly recommend if you're doing any work in Premiere Pro - and Kristian even touches a little on Photoshop, After Effects & Illustrator too. The bootcamp definitely kicked my video editing skills up several notches! I wish I had taken the class much sooner haha! That being said, I'm glad I had already worked with Premiere Pro bc the bootcamp made a lot more sense. The software can be complicated, especially if you're just starting out, and the bootcamp moves fast...so it can be hard to keep up. BUT Training Connection gives you one free repeat!! You can come back and take the same class again once more - how awesome is that?? Kristian is an absolutely FANTASTIC teacher!! He's professional, passionate, extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and caring - his expertise is impressive! He knows Adobe inside and out. I would happily take any of his classes again and definitely plan to take the After Effects and Illustrator classes in the future. The building is great also - the suite is sleek and always clean. They have high tech equipment in the classrooms - all their computers are fast Apples. Even the break room has a very fancy coffee machine offering all sorts of lattes and such. And all the rooms have lovely views of DTLA. Very nice facility. The prices for their classes are extremely reasonable considering the value of the lectures and the fact that they let you do one free retake. There are tons of eateries and cafes and food courts nearby so lunch is fun everyday! You can park in their underground lot but it's expensive at $35 a day. However, there's lots of security and it felt very safe, clean and convenient. I took the metro gold line the first two days and actually got urinated on by a vagrant the second morning - so I didn't hesitate to pay for parking after that lol. There's a cheaper lot around the corner but no security so be aware.

Knowledgeable, supportive, and invested in her students success. The program is fast paced, but it covers a wide range of skills, including vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture, injections, patient care, and safety procedures. One of the biggest advantages is that the school is tuition-free, although students are responsible for purchasing their own materials. The school does offer financial assistance through other programs such as Work Source & Para Los Niños so if you're struggling financially do not be discouraged to apply! The medical assistant program also includes clinical hours, which provide valuable hands on experience in a real world setting. I'm very grateful I had the opportunity to be part of this program, as it has been an important step in my journey toward becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

She does an amazing job explaining the material during her PowerPoint lectures and always makes sure students understand the information being taught. Her teaching style is clear, organized, and very helpful. Because of everything I learned in her class, I felt confident and well prepared going into my externship. Ms. Tavera provides a lot of important hands-on and clinical information that truly helps students succeed. I really appreciated her support, patience, and dedication to helping us learn. I would highly recommend her class to anyone interested in becoming a medical assistant.

They gave me the wrong start day so I ended up being a week late and after the course my credits weren't even recorded or given. So where did my work go?! Point being, this is a horrible school with incompetent administrators ‍ sorry not sorry.

They have job training courses in computers (Typing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, IC3 certification), CNA, construction, auto mechanics, electrician, Medical Billing and Coding, Administrative and Medical Office Assistant. Security Guard Card, Child Care Development, Accounting, Tax preparation, and stuff like that. Most of the courses are only like $90 'cause it's a public school and a part of LAUSD. You get a certificate after each class or course and they're accredited. They also have free ESL and High School completion or GED and HiSet classes. The only bad part is parking is kinda hard if you come during busy times, but you can't have everything! It's near the corner of Washington and Crenshaw so at least there's lots of buses! They have classes in the morning, afternoon and evenings. Because of Covid, the physical school is closed for now, but the good news is they made all classes FREE this summer, they're just online and you need a computer. The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

My California CNA skills exam was confirmed in the official TMU/Headmaster system, but days before the test the school emailed and told me it was cancelled and that it "would not take place" if I showed up. TMU told me my exam was still scheduled and even had to call the school to remind them they were required to test me. On test day there were other students testing at the site, even though the administrator had told me there was no exam and that exams would no longer be offered there, which left me feeling singled out and misled. Throughout the program, it often felt like some students received more support and opportunities than others, which gave me the impression of favoritism rather than equal treatment. The school promotes itself as professional and student‑focused, but the way my exam was handled did not feel fair or transparent. I recommend future students closely monitor their TMU account, save all confirmations, and be ready to advocate for themselves.
