Top notch customer service hands down, what the place loses points for on prices it makes up for in customer service and cleanliness. Had a great time shopping here and ofcourse I got a pubSub. Also shopped for meal Prep Purposes and the 2 for 1 chicken breast and produce (sweet potatoes in this case) made it cost effective. So long as you're mindful about what you're purchasing and taking advantage of BOGO specials, it can be financially intelligent. I like the convenience and the fact that no matter what time of the day I go I always have a good experience. That's what earns it the fifth star. read more

Pretty well run and clean publix. It is a larger publix but the deli/ bakery area can get a little crowded. The premade section has a good selection. Plenty of self checkout registers available. read more

Publix Deli is always in a hurry to close. Dinner time offerings are gone by 6:30. Bakery bread usually out by this time also. The strongest dinner hours are 5:30-8:00pm, good luck finding rotisserie chicken, fingers and other items after 6:30. DELI is Always understaffed. Melbourne Publix always better overall service. I would like to say "thank you" to some employees: Cashier's Cheryl and Ellen; for always making me feel welcome and putting a smile on my face in the morning. Customer Service: Dylan: who was excellent and "cool under pressure" as the line was LONG, but it did not effect his ability to provide one on one, focused CS for each person waiting. Micheal: was stocking the shelves one day last week. I did not see an item I needed... he kindly stopped what he was doing, to check for extra inventory in the back...... I'm sure that ALL of the SB Publix employees do amazing things that go unnoticed, so for that I give you all a kudos too. But on my 2 visits this week, these people really touched my heart! I ordered a sub online this evening but when I got to the store the sub was not there. Tracy and Maria worked to find out why the it was not there. They were awesome. I finally found my order in my phone but it had not been submitted. Maria was very patient about it and made my sub on the spot. Amazing staff. Sweet and kind to everyone especially my kids every time we come in they greet us and the kids get a free cookie or eat grapes or popcorn chicken while shopping for bogos. AlwYs helpful at check out and they keep the place stocked and clean read more

This Publix is beautiful, clean and the customer service is pretty nice, but not everyone working seems to know what product they have. I really like Publix I shop here all the time but this one has a confusing selection at times. Make sure you double check while you're in there. That said, the staff are very nice people. Very sad example of Publix deli. They were out of everything on their menu including mashed potatoes and gravy. They didn't run out, they just didn't make any today. WTH? Why have fried chicken and not potatoes. And the Mac and cheese looked like it was made yesterday. Go to a different store. read more

4 Stars for a large Publix with very friendly staff. This is your typical Publix, only larger than mine. While in town on vacation, I needed some groceries and fresh fish. It turns out all the seafood markets around close by 7pm so my only choice for raw seafood was Publix. Though I was hoping for some locally-caught seafood, I appreciated the labeling which included noting that all fin seafood was never frozen and also noting the fish that were sustainably sources and responsibly sourced (with definitions of their terms). I also spoke to the gentleman behind the seafood counter and he not only recommended a certain fish for my needs, but also told me his ideal recipe for it. That's above and beyond. Otherwise, it's a typical Publix. The staff at the checkout were very friendly and I'd recommend going through the customer service line if you only have an item or two and the other lines are all very long. read more

Came shopping here Christmas eve during the day to get some bread and water. They had some good deals on - I succumbed to the buy one get one free for potato chips and x2 bags of Cape Cod cost me less than $1.50 each. Good service and checkout lines while long, were brisk. Also very clearly marked aisles so we found everything we needed. Lots of parking as well. If there is one thing they can improve on, it is the entrance and exit doors - they were too narrow. To make matters worse, my Mother passed away unexpectedly. I was in desperate need of my medication. Pharmacist , Dan Mossman helped me through the process of reordering my meds. My insurance would NOT pay for a replacement so I was out of pocket. Pharmacist Mossman helped me with discounts which brought my price down considerably. Good subway sandwiches - with a choice of toppings that include lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers, olives, salt, pepper, oil & vinegar. You get a choice of Publix or Boar's Head meats, and different breads. Service can be a little slow, depending on how many folks are waiting for their made-to-order subs. Next to the sub station is the ever tantalizing fried foods/ chicken section. The offerings seemed fresh, and not dried out - there was rapid turnaround and a constant stream of customers. The subs were delicious; the packet of coleslaw I took from the open fridge... not so much. I took one bite and threw it away. Another thing that struck me - the baggers pack very lightly, which means that you'll get something like one bag for each item. read more

It must be because this is a touristy area, but this place is expensive and closes so early! I enjoy grocery shopping and back in Colorado Springs do have my favorite places. Publix is clean, decent sized, has OK produce and etc. However, maybe it's the "healthy" lifestyle I'm used to back in the springs but these guys don't have much in the way of protein bars, granola, and I couldn't find frozen fruit anywhere. A tad discouraging. And it's expensive! For just being a regular grocery store... not a "specialty" place.... 7 bucks for a small bear of honey... WTF!? You've got to be kidding me. I also mentioned it closes early.... maybe 10pm isn't early for this area (again it's touristy) but still seemed early to me! All-in-all this is the only grocery store around for the everyday population. If you have a military I.D. definitely go the extra mile or two to the commissary at Patrick AFB to save a buck... or 50! read more

I'm revising my review based on recent experiences and developments since my last review. I wrote to the corporate office regarding my previous negative experiences (shown in both previous reviews) and received a response within about a week from a store manager. He apologized for the issues, said they were working on improving the deli service, agreed that it was not the usual Publix experience, and offered me a whole Miami Dolphins sub on the house. In the weeks that have followed, I've been back at least three more times and have found the service to be improving each time. During today's visit, I noticed people being served at all areas of the deli and was greeted by the sandwich line employee, while he was working on someone else's sub. The subs have been turning out well, and today's employee even rang my Boar's Head wrap as a Publix wrap because of the extra time it took to make it (the wrap split apart while he was rolling it up). Please, keep this improvement going. Thank you to Publix management for addressing my issues and working to solve them. It's hard to find businesses that do this any more. It's great to know there's at least one that's out there and is around the corner nearly anywhere. read more

GREAT PRODUCE! This Publix is across the road from the beach so it is the perfect stop to pick up supplies. They have a great deli where you can sample any of the Boarshead products prior to purchase. You can stock up on the deli items and condiments so that you will have everything you need for a picnic lunch on the beach. Don't forget the produce department where you will find delicious fruits and vegetables. Peaches, bananas, cherries and strawberries were all featured at great prices and they are great for smoothies. The store was neat and clean and customer service here was great and very welcoming. The locals shop here often and it is like returning to your favorite stool at Cheers! read more

How long does it to make a sub? Over thirty minutes thats how long. YOU NEED AN ASSEMBLY LINE! Stop stumbling over each other, the more subs you make the more money you make. They ran out of basically everything, I'm assuming it was crazy because of new years day. I give them all props for keeping there cool and being nice though, but poor training by management. Guy making my sub ran out of onions goes and pulls one out of produce, i thought he was making it for a soup by the way he was chopping it lol. read more

Talk about customer service!!! I absolutely love shopping here just for the friendliness of the staff alone. Not to mention the recipes and helpful food labeling, I am always pleased with my experience shopping at this particular Publix. The other day I did purchased some yogurt that was moldy, which was a huge disappointment, but I was able to return it no questions asked. The manager was extremely polite and it didn't hamper my perception of the store at all. If you want fresh food and smiles all around, this is your store. read more

I live near this store and am a regular customer, not because it's nearby, but because the customer service is so darn good. In three years, I have never had a bad experience with this store. From the Deli counter to veggies to meats, to the people stocking the shelves, every single employee is cheerful, helpful and knows their stuff. The store is bright, clean and always well-stocked, no blank spot on the shelves here. And if they don't stock what I'm looking for, they'll get it in. Just for me. Amazing! Great place to shop & save $ on going out to eat. Friendly associates & great variety.

Their vegetables are always fresh and the store is always immaculately clean. If there are more than 3 customers in line they open another register. If you need help finding something an employee will stop what he's doing and show you where the item is. If you go to one of the local competitors you will get a quick reality check in why many of us are partial to Publix. read more
