This Publix is still pretty solid after all these years since my last update. I don't go here too often as the Avalon Park store is closer and a few other Publix's (Publicies?) are more convenient when traveling to and from home. But I still enjoy this store (not the parking lot though). It still can use a re-do for where to find the Frozen stuff and it has a weird area that can get missed around the pharmacy. I like their produce section more than some of the other stores. It just seems bigger for some reason. If you do get a Publix Sub from the deli, you can actually sit at a table and enjoy it in the store instead of having to woof it down in the back of a strangers pick-up truck. Who wants to keep looking over their shoulder when eating, right? The staff is always friendly and helpful and probably the best grocery store staff around. read more

This publix just keeps getting worse. No standards. They price gouge. Their produce and meat seem to go bad the day after you buy it. They seem to be out of alot of items. They changed up the aisles now nothing makes sense. I overheard someone saying as I was already thinking it that this is the weirdest set up publix. Its just not worth shopping here anymore even though its convenient because its right down the street. Sad. This used to be the best publix in the area. Now it seems its the worst. I love Publix. This Publix doesn't have all of the fancy extra meal counters but it still has everything you need. The employees are really friendly and they usually have everything I need in stock. I usually come here to buy my produce because it's fresher than some other local stores. I love how Publix has the area by the deli that explains different cuts for sandwich meat. I didn't know there were so many different styles. However, I know I don't like the thin-cut one so now I know what to ask for. They also have different chicken tender sub-ideas which was new to me. I had my first chicken tender sub recently and it was delicious. If you are ever looking for something and they don't have it in store. You can ask customer service if they can order it. They usually will take your number and then give you a call back if they're able to get it in stock for you. If you're craving sweets. I highly recommend checking out their baked goods. I love their cakes so much they made my wedding cake. All of the out-of-state guests were so impressed and kept asking where the cake was from. While this particular Publix is a bit off the beaten path for me, I find myself here frequently enough. One decided advantage of this location is that it never seems to get as busy as the other locations by me. Perhaps because it is at a disadvantage in location for many of the residents of this area. It sits on a corner that really only serves a few select neighborhoods as the convenient way home. Regardless of the reasons, it is not that far out of the way for me before heading home. Service is great, it is a Publix after all and Publix has set the bar in customer service for supermarkets here in the south. This has obviously worked well as a strategy as it stands head and shoulders above its competitors. Let's not forget that Publix subs are iconic here in the south and rightfully so. Their subs are beyond good. Publix is a great brand and an obvious choice for either food shopping or their subs. read more

Review #908. What can I say about Publix that has not already been said. This Publix is at the south of Waterford Lakes, almost at Avalon Park. We stopped here to pick up a few things, we were on our way to some friends house. As always this store is immaculately clean, all of the employees are extremely helpful, it's always a good experience to go to a Publix. There is always somebody nearby to help you. Although Publix is not the least expensive grocery store chain in the area. But if you want personal service, customization as far as poultry are concerned, and Publix is a place for you to go. What a terrible experience I came in in on 10/24/24 to order two subs. To my dismay, there was a very long line. But I saw two people behind the counter and I figured they moved it quickly. After sitting there for several minutes, I noticed that one person was only Filling online orders, and the other person was making subs for people in the store. I casually turned to the person next to me and asked them how long they been in line and she said over 20 minutes. I asked her to hold my place in line and I went to go ask the staff if they could possibly put a third person on the Counter since one person was filling Online orders, and the other person was doing store orders and the line had gotten very long. That's what happened the manager named Emily came over Put a third person on the line and then proceeded to chastise the people in line explaining that we all need to have patience and it wasn't right of us to complain about the line. After I got my sub, I went to go speak to the manager and explain to her that it was disrespectful and rude for her to address the line like that. I was expecting her to just say I'm sorry and go on my evening, but instead she started to argue with me and explain why she was right and I was wrong. I can't believe Emily was so unprofessional. I have always experienced very friendly customer service at this Publix so I've been going to for at least five years now. Today, CJ who helped me pack up my groceries and bring them to the car made the extra effort when my cards got left behind for Mother's Day and my mom's birthday. It's been three years since I last stopped into this location. It used to be the only supermarket on this side of town; but, now we have many options. I had a great time shopping here, stocking up on beef, chicken, pork, sausage; and, gourmet cheese and charcuterie. I stock up once a month at two local butcher shops; but, decided to give my patronage to Publix on this occasion. I was very impressed with the wide assortment of items, the quality of the meats; and, even the fresh-baked bread (I snagged a loaf of rye with caraway seeds!) and, the produce, which I picked up for our daughter. Check out was very quick; and, personable. I paid for the meat with my credit card; and, the regular groceries with my debit card. They didn't bat an eyelash as having two transactions on one cart. read more

Just walked in and the first two things I looked for weren't there. Typically, shopping is a pleasure at Publix. As I ordered a sub the person told me that they didn't have the type of cheese and turkey the sub is supposed to be made with. What? You are standing right next to the deli. This Publix is located near the Eastwood community of East Orlando, off of Alafaya Trail. It was the closest Publix to the urgent care I found myself at, and Publix pharmacy offers free prescriptions on select antibiotics. At the time of my visit, the pharmacy was running a 30-minute turn around time on prescriptions so I did a little shopping in the interim. This was a clean store with helpful staff and a pleasant and efficient pharmacy. I observed the limited pharmacy staff to be attentive and helpful to each customer. If in the area, I would certainly use this pharmacy again. read more

My favorite Publix in east orlando hands down! When I lived in Stoneybrook this was my go-to Publix. What makes this Publix so great? It is clean and service, service, service! They are all truly friendly employees working here. One cashier even remembered us each time we went. Since it is off the beaten path and kinda tucked away, the people who frequent are all from the same neighborhood and community so employees actually take time to greet you and remember you from last time. I'll be moving back nearby to finish my last semester at UCF and will be doing my regular grocery shopping at this Publix for sure. read more

We come here all the time for pub subs and shopping wise but today's visit was just absolutely awful. The sub line was 20 minutes and then once I finally got to the woman making my sub it took her 10+ minutes to make a half sized sub. She didn't know where anything was or they just didn't have it in stock and it was awful having to sit in the line while she ran around trying to find the things that should already be sitting there ready for the customers. Then trying to find chicken for dinner was just as bad. They had a poor selection and items weren't labeled at the right price or in the right order. It was all very messy and I'm very upset with my publix. Now I'm going to have to go to the one in Avalon park and that's more of a drive for me but I don't want to have to deal with these scene again. read more

I have always grown up in Florida and have always shopped at Publix! It is just a much more enjoyable experience compared Walmart. Before I go I always look up their weekly BOGOs and often plan my meals around them. The staff are always friendly and willing to help if needed. The butcher is always available when needed. I like to get my dog bones from him and he will often bring out several for me to pick from so I can get the right size for my pup. If you live in a state where there is a publix and have not tried a pub sub... You are doing something wrong! Pub subs are far superior than subway or any other sub place. This Publix was once the best in east Orlando; sadly this is no longer the case (been here 20 years 2 miles from this location). Service has steadily gone down hill; not enough cashiers at busy times, disorganized deli (why do you have on-line ordering and never have the items ready, or even close to being ready at promised times? Or many times never ready at all!), chatty Cathy cashier in the express check out line who cannot do his job and a bunch of management wannabees with clip boards standing there rating the cashiers - try getting a register open and check some people out! Plus, rude personal shoppers have taken over the store for the lazy people who cannot get their own groceries. So sad! The self check out lanes cannot come fast enough to this store. Come on its PUBLIX!!!!! Its in my neighborhood so what can I say other than super convenient... Staff is ALWAYS helpful and polite. Also the staff is always at the end of their isle to recruit u so u can hopefully get in and out.
